454ss this is why I love your videos and workshop items so much. You take the time to think about how updates may have changed things on your items and what needs to be fixed. Hats off to you because as you know not many people on the workshop do this.
16:20 you changed the total capacity of the space when you added blocks to your compartment. So the total available oxygen is now lower because the total volume is lower.
For my submersible I’m going to create like an umbilical-buoy for air: Detach (connected with a hose), have it float to the surface, then change out/fill the tanks with air, then just reel it back into position A nice little side project for me :D
Hey 454, I don't often get to watch the pre-releases but I managed to catch it this time. Nice video, I hope the devs add air scrubbers and good luck fixing your minisubs
You have to consider the amount of oxygen per volume => Having 50 L in a space that can fit 2000 L will barely give you oxygen to breathe if you inhale 0.2 L of Air
They already had the perfect solution in game, the fluid filters, but now they seemingly removed them. What dev thinks let's make a dlc that lets players, do life support systems and then doesn't add filters to scrub the different gases and liquids 🤦
16:24 Odds are there is less O2 in the cockpit because some of the blocks are now “occupied” with pipes, valves etc, as the cockpit has fewer “air blocks” in it?
Best way is to start pumping water in while using dive planes to pitch down to depth. If you’re crash diving, you’re probably trying to get away from something so you should already be moving.
I never understood what convinced the devs they needed to remove the fluid filters. And now that life support systems is needed, it just seems even dumber to not have filters, to sort liquids and gases 🤦

Yup! I realized that just afterward but thank you for the comment :)

Kinda a realistic system, diesel electric sub use something similar for intake and exhaust of the generator

Congrats 454 on passing 4k subs, i remember watching you at 52 subs, keep up the good work.
Thank you for your ongoing support :D

Totally! It is the density of air that is the key :) Very good point, one that I didn't consider while I was in the heat of making the recording
Devs need to include some sort of carbon dioxide scrubbers to the game to get rid of CO2 but not lose oxygen

How does your game run so well, before the update I got really good fps but now it's back to where the smallest creations lag so much.
I do get more lag than normal I would say, but I also have a 3060 Ti and a decent computer setup :)
Probably just my specs@@454ss_gaming
Could the reduced oxygen be a result of the blocks placed inside taking up space and thus having less volume overall?
Most likely they are the cause :)
also wondering what's the fastest way to sink a sub? I been testing a bunch of methods to no really fast "crash dive" kind of way

My auto bilge pumps were killing me in almost all my builds after the update lol…

You have to use fluid release valves for bilge pumps now!!! Dont forget :]
You dont, its called Hostile architecture :D, no need for bilge pump if there is noone “alive” who could drown
Question, what is the max pressure for a player? considering to get a air lock in the submarine.
Irl would be around 10
It’s 4 atm
It would be less than 3.8 hours ,remember you dont suffocate at 0%oxygen more like at 25-30% from my testing
Developers are making the game way too complicated for casual play!
Well, to be fair, I don't think this game is for casual play lol
They should add a cheat like infinite fuel to not force ppl to hussle with atmosphere
