Grande dynamic style ... I love it! And this astonishing little box transfers it into the amp / recording. That is my personal and subjective opinion: But the reference "... for the price ..." is superfluous. This little magic box sounds simply great ... the more dynamic the guitarist, the clearer the quality becomes. Thanks Alberto
Just goes to show that a sub $500 multi effect unit these days are frankly good enough for recording. It's 80% the person playing and the production know how. It's not about 10k worth of gear that used to be the use case back in the 90's when I used to record guitars into a refrigerator sized rack going into a real cranked up marshall or a twin deluxe in another room mic'ed going into a recording console. Can you really even tell the difference anymore in a finished tracks nowadays. I surely can't or rather don't care anymore. If it sounds good, it sounds good. Fantastic demo and even more fantastic playing. Two thumbs up.
Thank you very much for the demo. I hope I can raise money soon to buy it. I am glad that there is something of this level for my possibilities. Greetings from Argentina.
Y...esas guitarras había visto antes, me parece, jejeje
Wow, man, that sounds so fine! I guess I "know" you from the presets you did for Scuffham's S-Gear! Now I just ordered me the NUX as small and backup gear. Amazing, what is possible. Of course the preset control by just 2 knobs is very limited. In a live situation one has to create a quite small preset chain.
I notice a slight digital distortion in the highs when I treat the strings harder - as it doesn´t have an input level control. I´m not sure if there is something quite similar here 1:45
Very cool. I am looking at one of these. I have a tube amp and 0edals, but man it would be nice to record and 9kay live going direct with one of these and not have to spend a fortune. Love that tele Charvel with Floyd and reverse headstock. Too cool. All of them are, but that one is very cool. Great playing man. ♥️🤘♥️
This unit is no need the best... I have a Headrush pedal board.. I wanted this one for the drums and lightweight.. To carry around.. I could not resist buying coz it was way cheaper yet it sounds so great.
Two years later from this video, so, it begs the question - how useful has it been? You still using it today or not really? Would you recommend it to a middle aged man who needs something small and simple to take with him to use at church in the Men's Fellowship for Praise and Worship? We have a 24 channel mixer through which we run every sound in our church, will it work in that setting or do I need an extra DI Box? Your reply will be truly appreciated and will most definitely be eagerly awaited. Apart from church use, I thought it might help me enjoy my guitar playing at home though I have never really liked nor used guitar processor/multi effects.
I use it with Marshall JCM2000 Tsl 602 combo. You can use it with front of an amp or into fx loop. With my amp works well and difference beetwen amp models can be hear. Some users recommend to turn of simulation of cabinet in Nux and only use amp models without speakers during using modeler with real amp
Wow .....GREAT Demo!!!! I just got this pedal and I'm impressed but having trouble finding the individual pedals on the NUX. I've been wanting to get to the Delay pedal selections that you used @ 6:23 except that I 'm just using the pedal by itself and you used your laptop with the software. Is there a way to do access the individual pedals with just the NUX pedal on the floor??
Great playing Sir!! I just got mine.. and Im wondering if could tell me, what amp & cab you Used to simulate bass sound.. as far as i know, there is no amp/ cab for bass on nux mg300.. thanks anyway ✌️
Greetings, if I’m not mistaken, your interface is seriously high quality. Does that mean the little NUX is being lifted beyond what it normally does or does it mean the NUX can hold its end up in the middle of all that gear 😊 Nice playing btw.
To connect it to a pc, do you use the USB cable supplied right? Does the sound come out of the pc speakers or is it appropriate to connect external speakers to the pc for sound quality? and if so, what are the suitable speakers? Thanks for your kind reply
Best option is a pair of studio monitors. I guess. Actually I failed with USB but I managed to output sound from Nux to my external pc speakers using LineIn in my pc sound card.
Nice and instructive video, thank you! Anyway, it confirms that when I bought the Mooer GE150, after a thorough analysis (hands on tests in shops included) of what in in the market, I made the right choice for my taste and needs.
Have been impressed with this new NUX ... always would like to know tho' how it sounds through an amp or PA and not when being interfaced through a computer????
Muchas gracias.
Is it only me but when I tested the factory presets most of them sounded thin, brittle or fizzy with wild volume fluctuations? Also on some presets there is a terrible 2K? peak that is virtually impossible to get rid off even using the EQ pedal included. What am I doing wrong or is this other peoples experiences too? Honestly I did not find one fac preset that was usable.
I created my own presets. I used factory only to watch how effect chain can be created and how to combine amps with cabs. This unit can sound great. You can join to Facebook mg300 users Group and find there many informations, download presets and IR's from google drive.
@@lukaszbohdal8749 Nah I gave that thing a week. I'm a sound engineer and I know what I'm doing sound design wise. I find it incredible that the factory presets could be so bad, I've done enough Fing about with this, I'll stick to my Moore Radar which I now know sounds decent compared to the MG300.
Thank you very much for this video, I am very interested in that multi-effect pedal, but I have a question. Is it a comfortable alternative for live performance? or is it more than anything a recording tool?
It depend the way you used it. You can set your patches and moving up and down between patches, with the ctlr switch, you can assign whatever effect to turn on/off or you can save until 3 scenes for each patch and cycle between scenes....for example you have a patch with an amp, ir and reverb an then in the scene 2 you have the same amp, ir and reverb but you can call an overdrive and delay..... Also, the footswitch is great an flexible to set up as you want. At least, in my opinion is more than enough. Sorry for my bad english.

GRACIAS!!!!
Stellar playing, a very informative demo and some top-notch video work. Thanks a bunch Alberto!

Fantastic playing and sounds from this unit. Can't wait to get one.
The best budget multi effects pedal.ever ! Nice playing also thanks bro

Awesome demo, awesome playing. About time, thank God lol
New sub, thank you for this man. Great stuff 🔥
Excellent demo of this modeler. Really enjoy your playing.
This unit sounds excellent! Of course your wonderful chops help the sounds of this unit.
Gracias! Your playing is stunning, and the quality of the MG-300 really shines. I've ordered one...so inspiring.
Made a version of your Tweed Patch. Tweaked it a bit. It cleans up and responds to dynamics .Bravo

I had a 9030 back in the 91-92 era. It sounded like processed crap. This is amazing. Waiting for MG-30 so I can use your presets. Best Regards!

Gracias
I can hear its awesome for home recording but how does it sound as a pedal to be used for modulation on my pedal board with other pedals?

Thanks Alberto. In Lush Drive, are you plugged direct to interface?
Your riffs and techniques have immense gravity to suck in guitarists👍🤘
How did you record the bass? Like a Bassman amp with a custom IR?
is exp pedal usable as volume pedal or Not ?
thanks for besutiful review.
Yes !
Yes, by default it acts as volume pedal for all patches, when pressed hard it activates the wah or expression pedal

Bassman emulation!
