Thanks for the guide. Just want to express my distaste for the mundane name of this software, as that makes it EXTREMELY difficult to find guide/content for it since it mixes up with actual tile discussion.
Thanks a lot, man I'm going to have fun with this... I grabbed it for free since I didn't know what I was going into but I'll definitely support once I get a good feel out of it.
About something you mentioned : you CAN actually change the settings of a tileset after it's creation (maybe it was added after you made the video?). Click the "tileset properties" button below the tileset. Then in the properties window, click the name of the source image under the "value" field of the image. Then you'll have an "edit" button which will open a dialog box to change the properties of the tileset.
I have a hard time figuring the size of my tilesets, Is it 32x32 or bigger ? I always go by trial and error, but it takes a lot of time away from my creative process. My question is : what is the best way to figure out the size of a tileset if I don't have have the info handy already ?
When you have all the trees in one layer, you can't overlap them, have one behind another, do you just have to make alot of layers or is there another way to do this?
I don't get a few things, was your purpose of showing us animated tiles just to see how they work ? so we can later implement them in our game engine? Also you used an existing tilesheet, is it possible to make an empty sheet and customize the tiles i want based on the specific dimensions say 48x48 ??
How or can we edit the size of sprites?? Like my NPC sprite tile set is a completely different size than my overworld sprite tile set and I feel totally lost
is Tiled only for making little gameboy-pokemon clones, or can you actually make a scene more like Diablo 2, etc. with it? All the examples I have seen look like gameboy games.
It's just a map editor. If you can get the graphics of something like Diablo then you should be able to create those kind of maps. Obviously you can't do a procedurally generated map, but you can create those kind of maps they are isometric.
my export menu is different and when ı try to import unreal it give big mistake.coming too much error like river .... export menu have = (*. tmj,*.json) together ? which version do we use for unreal or unity or export menu is like this video

I know this is old video but can you use this program to make a pokemon city map that would be able to insert it into a pokemon rom. asking for a friend of mine
guys how can i open back up the thing in the side where i place my assets please help i have deleted this on my pc then downloaded it again and still does this edit: it never shows up again
Any idea how to edit the driver settings lol. I use krita to make the tile set and tiled makes it darker when i import it. I downloaded tile sets to see if they do the same thing but they done so maybe its krita. Idk
I am trying to use the bucket fill tool and it doesn't appear to be working. Brush works just fine. I am using an infinite scene and no matter what it will either only fill a very limited area of the screen, or none of the screen at all with the tile or tiles I have selected. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? My results seem to vary depending on which layer I select for the job, too - not sure if that helps or not.
Is Tiled Map for Raster “pixel” Map output or vector ? Means if my Tiled set is vector can I use it in Tiled Map to get a vector level ? Please explain !
+A Obaidi your source tiles need to be in raster format ( aka, bitmap, png, jpg etc ). When editing tiles you have options to define some polygonal or vector shapes, but that's generally just for the game engine for tasks like triggers or physics engines.
Hi ! Can you help me make map of Rusted Warfare ? Im a bit dizzy of making it. Can you make video of it ? please? theres a tileset on website of rusted warfare please help. I want to make map for local multiplayer with friends

+Xdragon5502 In the version I've installed (0.10.2) there is an option in the File-Menu called "Save as Image". Maybe it is called a bit different. I'm running the german localization :)
Sorry, it exists but not on "View" menu, you go to the "Edit tileset" button (next to the "new tileset") and then the tile collision editor will open in the right
Yeah, Windows keeps reseting the Mic to 100% for some reason, resulting in bad audio, unfortunately i don't notice it until playing back the results. You'll notice parts 2 and 3 sound better.
Hey, sorry I am late to the part, but I was wondering is there a way to fill an image colors to a certain tile? eg. I got an image with blue and green (water and grass) now I have 2 tiles water and grass, I would like to replace everything green with grass and blue with water, is that possible?
If I recall the video correctly, I might be using RPGMaker DLC pack tiles, you can download them on Steam. Got them as part of a Humble Bundle a while back.

When you add a new tile set make sure that the tile spacing is correct. I have a 16x16 tile set and 0 for both of the spacing options.

Hey, I made my own tilesheet but tiled is making all the images darker than it should be. Is there a way to fix this?
You mean they appear darker in Tiled than in the image editor? If that's the case it sounds more like a video driver setting than anything else.
Any idea how to edit the driver settings lol. I use krita to make the tile set and tiled makes it darker when i import it. I downloaded tile sets to see if they do the same thing but they done so maybe its krita. Idk
make the tutorial of finding 'the collision editor' :D
