You can tell these guys get LOTS of money in their budget:
    1) They get sheet C-4 and say they use it regularly. When I was in only SF got sheet. The rest of us made due with M-112 C-4 blocks.
    2) They have the high speed tools not WW2 leftover crimpers.
    3) THEY ARE WASTING DRINKING WATER IN THE DESERT!!!! That was a cardinal sin when I was in the Big Litter Box! We would have a soldier sit on top of that charge before we would waste a bottle of water. That or put a bottle of chew spit on top........

Man we do it way differently in the Canadian navy; interesting to see it done a different way. All the same kit we even have the same crimpers lol

1:35 why are they looking away? is this the equivalent of safety squints incase it just fuckin explodes in your hand?
also gg on putting one of your ears like in direct line with the explosive?

I believe it's procedure, to ensure the eyes are not exposed to fragments from an unintentional initiation.

      Huh?

      He is right.
A detonator has a chaped charge at the top so you never put you finger farther than 2/3 of the blasting cups bottom

det must be crimp with left hand and away from body and face for safety to protect face and right hand from damage.

@@IrfanKhan-ly8fsi would imagine this would be done with earplugs incase it does detonate too? i was figuring this and questioning the turning away from it
interesting if they are lining up their ear with no earpro and fuckin risking fingers here...

Typically you’re crimping to a fuse so it doesn’t matter. With det cord you crimp to the explosive itself. If for some reason when you crimp it the det cord explodes from it’s better to not be looking at it lol
