    She is intelligent. That's nice.
    She's got good looks. That's just fine.
    But she is also able to form and defend her own opinions in an environment where the press for conformity is enormous.
    And that's what really makes her special.

    Madness that they seriously suggested that the students were 'too young' to handle something completely innocuous that had been broadcast on a national TV station. The man who was interviewing her in that audio really needs to be fired.

      Half Baked I'm glad I'm not the only one that found this completely ridiculous. They're telling me that the very people who we are telling that they have the capacity to know which gender/future/sexual orientation they want to be are not old enough to determine their own opinions? WTF?! That is what numb nuts said wasn't It? Their young brains aren't capable of figuring out their own truth?

      That's my suspicion too. It reminds me of an experience my parents had with the board of the homeowners' association where they live. They got a nastygram that "someone" - who of course the board couldn't name in order to prevent interpersonal conflict - had a problem with my parents' wildflower garden and insisted, under penalty of future fines, that certain changes be made to it so it conformed to a reserved and rather sterile aesthetic standard. Long story short, that "someone" turned out to be the same person on the board who sent the letter. It also came to light that that someone had used his position on the board to bully other people in the neighborhood in the same way. The funny thing was, this person always claimed that he was confronting homeowners on the behalf of timid homeowners whose quality of life he alleged was being degraded by the thoughtless behavior of anti-social people like my parents. In reality, of course, the guy was a control freak who wanted to enforce his aesthetic preferences on everyone else around him and who was perfectly willing to use his position on the board to do it.

    So, the rules of the tribunal process were not explained, the charges against her were not revealed, she could not examine the evidence against her, she was not allowed to cross-examine the witnesses against her or face her accuser, she had no legal counsel or advocate, guilt was presumed, and the prosecutors were also the judges.
    It sounds like "The Trial" by Kafka.

    • @kdemetter
      @kdemetter 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm a little conflicted about this ( not the part of about Laurier being horrible, but about the recording ).
      In one sense, I get the need for recording it in this case, and I think she was very brave to do so and releasing it informed us about is going on there.
      On the other hand, I wouldn't be comfortable with someone recording audio of a conversation I had with them, and them then releasing that conversation without asking my permission first.
      Because even though I wouldn't want to hide anything I said, it would be easy for someone to cut a specific portion of what I said, taking it completely out of context and releasing that ( not that this is in fact a tactic some sjw's use to demonize their opponents ) .
      So I'm not sure I'd be comfortable talking to when I know they might be recording what I said.
      Please change my mind on that, so I can totally like her as much as she probably deserves ( I already like her, but that little thing bothers me ).

    • @poguemahone1031

      Nah, Peterson is too busy peddling Orwellian AI, "personality trait tests" with a price tag, "self-authorship" bullshit with a price tag, the supposed "need for research funding," and his well-padded Patreon full of gullible dipshits ("A fool and his money are soon parted"), plus sitting in his orgone accumulator getting high off the smell of his own farts and shit.

      David Laughlin nothing stops you from making TH-cam videos gather a following and opening a patron account...prove Dr peterson wrong. Help others discover the light you have discovered. I would suggest it is a better use of your time than fighting with random anonymous strangers on internet

    • @poguemahone1031
      @poguemahone1031 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kakarot
      Nothing stopping me from making TH-cam videos, but "prove Dr peterson wrong"? Sorry, but I don't need my life advice from a psychologist with a clinical practice in which he fucks around with the shit in other people's heads without even having a clear understanding of the shit in his own head, and there are others who have already made videos on Peterson. Where's the "fight," exactly? Merely two individuals expressing two opposing opinions. I also don't need advice on how to allocate my time.

    I hear the word "Orwellian", but this strikes me more as Kafkaesque. She wakes up one day, is summoned to an office where she may or may not show up, but where there's an understanding she should attend. There she's met with people who won't go into any specific charges, won't reveal any accusers, seemingly blind to the judicial process of which they are instruments in, subtly turning her objections into further proof of guilt for crimes that are only implied. I mean, it's like I'm reading the book all over again. Soon she'll be walking the hallways of the campus with the principle which will tell her stories of a man, a door, and a guard.

    The students and colleagues ignoring Lindsay reminds me of when somebody in my family died and all my colleagues just acted awkward and didn't know what to say. They were thrown into something outside their experience so they just put their eyes down and went quiet. I'm guessing Lindsay has more supporters, and more enemies, than she realises but that most people don't know how to react in her presence.

    • @amonducius
      @amonducius 7 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      Reason and discussion alone is why the postmodernists have taken over. They took over by playing for their team and fighting for a common purpose while the people trying to be fair and objectionable had no idea that they were part of a game in first place. Furthermore, reason and discussion is not a shield for dogmatic cravens to hide behind while the world changes rapidly around them. There are mass graves all over the world filled with people who were good at reason and discussion, and not much else. It's important, yes, but only a bishop on the grand chess board. You have to play with all pieces to win.

The green frog is bad press for our side. Do you see this girl screaming all hail the Kekistan! She would lose all the credibility she has right now. So yeah, whats on the menu? What the plan beyond discussion?

      @CSC Unit
      "Then what do you guys propose beyond discussion?" For starters, realize that there is a game being played. There are teams, players, spectators, referees, winners, losers, and a winner-take-all prize. The game? Power. The prize? Money, life, and obviously power. Secondly, understand my earlier point that discussion is only part of the equation. Consider the Supreme Court. Many verdicts ultimately come down to which team (political party) appointed the majority of the judges. It involves discussion, yes, but the tribalism aspect can help ensure that the highest court in the land is in the ideological hands of the political party that most closely resembles your own beliefs.
      That brings me to the second point: VOTE. There is no shortage of elections and people running. Red-pilling your friends about what is going on is great, but ultimately voting gets the job done. Get educated about your political beliefs, and cast your ballot for the person that you think best represents them. I know its not much on its own, but en masse it is extremely powerful. The silent majority is also sadly very ambivalent towards voting, and it shows in how the West is structured politically. Most people think what is happening in Canada is BS, yet the kind of people that create and enable these situations are the ones being elected into government. If everyone voted, who knows what our society would look like.
      "Fighting them physically? " Yes. Most people don't want it, myself included, but history shows time and time again these situations come to a boiling point, and the side most prepared for the fight usually wins. It's not like the radical left hasn't harmed anyone for their ideology. Any physical action should be done in self-defense, and it is advised to record these altercations in case you get some juicy material. If things get really nasty, people will be drawn-in regardless of their political beliefs, and the radical left (or right) does not have a good record of treating people they have defeated kindly.
      "Trolling them?" YES! It works, a lot. Memes and trolling are important and cheap forms of propaganda. Disliking left-wing videos on TH-cam is in its own way, propaganda. Again, en masse, it is very effective.
      "Supressing their freedom of speech somehow?" In a legal sense, no. Too dangerous. From a societal point, hell yes. The postmodernists have not, and likely will never have any trouble using political correctness to make people think twice about opening their mouths. Why can we not use our brutal yet non-violent ridicule of their stupidity act in the same way? Ridicule, however rational or not it may be, is a very powerful tool for limiting what people say. The postmodernists use it, and so must we.
      " I yet dont see what hiding the individual behind a flag can actually bring." Then you obviously have never studied military aspects of history. There is a reason why we use flags. They are powerful symbols of unity that have been used to generate acts of heroism, as well as strike fear into the hearts and minds of enemies. You do not see the merit in flags because you do not see the merit of unity or group identity, or so your statements have led me to believe. I don't like identity politics either, but if we must have it, I want as many people as possible on my approximate "side."
      "The green frog is bad press for our side." Nonsense. Pepe helped Trump become president. Who gives a damn about what the lying scum in the media have to say about the subject anyways? We have our own media, and unlike theirs, ours is growing.
      "Do you see this girl screaming all hail the Kekistan! She would lose all the credibility she has right now." More nonsense. Firstly, "the Kekistan" is incorrect. It is either just Kekistan, the Kekistanis, or the Kekistani people. We're not talking about "the Ukraine" or "the Congo." Secondly, saying that would undeniably generate her even more fandom worldwide than she already has.
      Does that answer your question?

    Welcome to the Ministry of Truth. Hearing her closed door bullying reminded me of the ominous passive aggressive threats by cowardly educators throughout public school. Good thing she recorded it.

    Yay Lindsay!!! You are truly the embodiment of a heroine! You had no desire for fame, you came at this with a pure heart and with noble intentions, and when faced with evil (yes, evil! True evil never appears with horns and a pitchfork, rather it comes under the guise of virtue...), you stood your ground and summoned all the courage in your heart and faced your attackers! Good on you and may your path be a sunny one!
