    Wonderful composition that really nails the baroque style. The technical aspect of how to use this library is superb. My own (too limited...) experience with this library made me feel ambiguous about its possibilities, and there are some flaws in some samples that you have to work around with, but you prove that it is really possible to use it in a very effective way and a very natural way.

      Thanks so much Harry. I share your opinion about this library. I used different velocities on for example the spicc strings, to make it more dynamic. Panned 1st violins even more to the left and 2nd violins to the further right, while this library doesn't have seperate 2nd violins samples. The actual sample recording is pretty dry so I putted them in a chamber first, just a little and then putted a Fabfilter Church reverb after it. The flaw with this library is that there are not so much envelope tweaking, its all pretty straight forward stuff. I do love the icy baroque tone! The continuo section is very brute I think, very massive tone, so I putted it more in the background by tweaking with the mics. Hope you will post a Miroire production somewhere ;-). Be well, Jeff

    Interesting (neo)baroque approach and overwhelming production from a technical point of view - well done, Jeff!

    Fantastic composition. Myself I have stopped using a DAW for Orchestral music. I'm using Staffapad with Orchestral Tools libraries and it sounds real.

      Hi Jennifer, thanks for stopping by. When producing a notated score I use Finale. With Cubase I can get more of a loose grid placement and feel, concerning the 'real sounding'. How does Staffpad handle tight grid interpretation?

      @@jeffhijlkema Hi again. I was the same I was using Sibelius and cubase. You can't imagine it sounds amazing like real orchestra. The score looks professional. I bought an iPad M1 and is the best investment ever. On cubse I know is a vst playing. On stafgpad is real. Yesterday I uploaded a new film on my channel. Is called biosphere home. The opening is all stafgpad with orchestral tools libraries. So expressive. You can go listen. I also composed last week a classical music and I will post it on my Facebook page. When I do I will send you a link. You are an amazing composer and educated one as well. Stafgpad is made for us. Love your music.

      @@jennifergala Amazing!... Using just the full Berlin series by OT?

    • @jennifergala
      @jennifergala 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffhijlkema Yes so I bought the whole Orchestral Tools series. That includes the strings brass percussion woodwinds. I also bought their pianos. From cinesamples I bought cinestrings solo which are blending with OT amazingly. I also got from cinesamples Tina guo cello harps and modern cinematic piano. Each library cost 139$ so yes I spent over 1000$ in Canadian dollars plus I got two iPads pros one large one small size so sometimes I wrote music in the bus. The score looks amazing as well. I'm glad you like it. I will send you a link for Classical music. Thx!

      @@jennifergala Inspiring libraries are a fine motivation also I think. Doubting myself on purchasing the new Berlin vst from OT, to have some 'one orchestra' variation next to BBCSO pro. Just very much like the workflow also of the Sine player.
      Did some more diving on you through Spotify; you just wrote an insane amount of music! I just love your Bach variations, what a devoted project! This respectful modern twist on his work. Was that born through/based on pure improvisation on the Goldberg and inventions?

      So thanks again for reacting still! ;-) I'm curious though what you don't like about barock music, in general I guess?
