Have any1 being successful applying Security Update 2020-007? Cannot boot into normal mode after it. Already booted in Safe Mode and reapply Mojave Patcher fixes, but still no change.

I've download the catalina patcher on my hardrive and it downloaded with no issues then when I try to download it onto an ssd it says estimating time remaining and then it says catallina failed to download catalina im soo stressed out and I don't know what to do im currently using Mojave on the ssd

So, my unsupported Mac doesn’t have AMD, it does however have Nvidia. And I’m pretty sure video cards aren’t disabled. As for 3D programs, keep in mind if you’re rocking a Core 2 Duo, it’s going to be slow. If you’re using an i5-i7, it’s totally doable. Hope this helps
Hey..LOVE YOUR VIDEO. I have a dumb question. 27" IMac from mid 2011. Now has High Sierra. Using the dosdude1 patcher and upgrading... What happens to data and installed programs? Do I need to get my files off before I try this? I backup to an airport time machine. I always fully backup each time I upgrade OS but I have never had to use my backups (cross fingers) any advice is appreciated.
My advice, go on to Catalina or Mojave. HS frankly sucked. With that being said, backup but everything should stay the same minus the OS upgrade. Assuming you don’t wipe your hard drive.
Did you run the patcher? If yes, did it take an eternity to rebuild caches? If no, run the patcher again and click force rebuild before hitting reboot. If you’re using Catalina, you may need to go into the installer and run the patcher manually. If none of this works, I’d contact dosdude1
@@SparkedTech i meant 2009 macbook pro and it wasnt taking an eternity. It actually loaded pretty fast. I got a message saying i may not have a valid copy of Mojave even tho i got it from the patch tool tbe same place u showed where to download from

But now I got a big problem, after I waited for installing, I press reboot then Disabled/X icon pops up (I think it should be normal), but then it turns off by itself, and I tried many times doing same thing. turn off macbook and then restart that what i did and then the estimator will come on. catalina had three issues one was that the battery dies supper fast and i had bluetooth problems connecting with earpods and also dvd wont work. Also i kept getting youtube error when watching video. i am scared to try mojave but i try that as well. i downgraded back to high sierra

Black Cat There used to be a conversion kit that would turn a MacBook into a tablet. These days, you’d be better off either buying an iPad, or hackintoshing a surface pro. And yeah I sounded dead in this video because I’m quarantined with my parents and siblings and the only time I can film is like 3 AM.

Does it delete all my stuff including my downloaded music and movies even TV Shows or does it stay after updating to any MacOS software?
I’d back up my hard drive first just to be safe.

iMovie keeps crashing in Catalina any time that I try to make a new movie it just crashes. is anyone else having this problem?

I’d just stick with Mojave. It’s proving to be the last good version of macOS
@@SparkedTech i use catalina on my hard drive and it works like a charm but the ssd doesn't seem to work with catalina
@@djjamique6036 That’s bizarre. It’s possible that your SSD is incompatible with macOS

APFS it’s only required for Catalina, Mojave use extended journaled.

Do NOT download this if you have any Mac from the early 2011, I have just tried it and it wont let you open apps like Microsoft office and more!
How to downgrade?
While rebooting, if I keep my harddrive attached to the IMac I only receive a white screen. What can I do? Thank you in advanced for an answer
Try command+Option+P+R. Hold till the second chime, then hold option till you see your hard drive.

It's saying I need a password when I try to download the zip file for the APFS ROM patcher
I’d ask Dosdude. That’s his patcher and his file. I’ve never needed a password though.

Get a flash drive and load high Sierra to it. Then format in disk utility.

Try resetting the PRAM (command option P R until you hear 2 chimes)
