Observe extroverts and copy their talking points. Making people laugh/happy will make you feel good and hopefully you can carry this over. Ask someone who gets a lotta girls for pointers; those guys are always happy to help. Practice what you’re gonna say and say it with your whole chest. Then comes the hard part: admitting you wanna be more than friends. If you like a girl then you should always go for it. Don’t play the long waiting game. I can’t say what kind of date will be best for you, so do some additional research (mini golf, Dave and Busters, arcades might work for you). It’s not always gonna work out, and it fucking sucks, but you gotta move on. You have to hype yourself up, but also if you get rejected, it’s hard to stop yourself from being broken down. Find closure and learn from your mistakes. If a girl doesn’t like you, then a girl doesn’t like you. Her loss. Don’t give up. Every guy/girl is different, but hopefully this works for you. They NEED to come back and address the "LA being a different planet" talking point from the comments. It's important to acknowledge that people come from different cities/countries and dating might be very different on their side of the fence.
Because when apps have a premise of showing pictures to select who you’d want to match with, people of both sexes tend to go for better looking people. It’s like window shopping. Apps are rigged; you’re better off making a new account than using Tinder Gold because being swiped left decreases your ELO. Since you and your match don’t tend to know each other, there’s almost never any social capital restraining someone from ending things abruptly. Meeting friends of friends is just the best answer but people have stopping socializing as much and apps are a supplemental “fix” that only benefits a subsection of people.
