    Hats off to you Dr Sahab! You are a precious gem in Pakistan where there is not much room for logic and reason. The way you stand up for brining knowledge, clarity, reasoning and rationality to this nation is unmatched. This country is not at a stage to realize this and its extremely unfortunate. Great lecture. Few questions.
    1. In controlled environment has anyone changed one specie/kind into another by random changes? A bacteria into a fish like change.
    2. What is the probability that a protein can be formed from randomly connecting amino acids. It is sad that the probability is 1 : 10^164. Yes 164 zero after 1. In comparison life of universe is ~14 billion years which is ~4x10^17 seconds. If true then life of the universe is not even a blink of an eye against the possibilities. Is the reported probability incorrect? What is correct?
    3. How is it determined that 4.5 billion years is long enough for a protein to evolve into a human being? I am sure it is not be anecdotal. There must be some rigorous analysis.

    • @hawkingdawking4572
      @hawkingdawking4572 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean to say that out of one in 10^164 amino acid molecules can change to a protein. That means Amino acid to Protein evolution can happen in the universe. And if that protein can self replicate, the job done! Your numbers in the sky probability ratio is a mere creationist propaganda anyway.

      1. Your first question bacteria into fish....... Changes occure over different generation but to say after evolvig bacteria will become a fish its highely unlikely it can become a different type of bacteria and evolution doesnt always produce same structures..... Now there are many differences between a bacterial and fish cell many organelles are missing in a bacterial cell.... Bacteria is a prokaryot and fish cell is a eukaryote so it will need to acquire those organanells to become fish and for that, materials and genes to build those structures in every generations..... Now there will be factors which will give directions to the evolution of a bacteria .... Like a bacteria can evolve and become immune to antibiotics you take , and those antibiotics were killing bacteria easily previously but now bactrria have a defensive machanics and bacteria dont have technology or shields to block thoe antibiotics its evolutioning machanism which gives bacteria the ability to survive against antibiotics and you can test it on youtself by taking some azithromycen for few months again and again and bacteria in your body will build resistance against it ( nah im joking dont do it lol ) now here bacteria is happy in its environment and can survive easily so why it will evolve into a very very complex organsim like fish? It can evolve few more structures over the generations now if you will compare generation one and generation x bacteria then they wll be very different from each other...... Now from a simple bacteria to a evolved differentx- bacteria then more factors and after few generations x-bacteria into different y-bacteria and so on so its a very long process which occure over the generations..... New generations will be different from previous generations.... That process happen very fast in mirco organisms because they replicate very fast but in multicellular life will process will get slower and slower but they cant produce new generations as fast as a micro organism can......

    • @o........8793
      @o........8793 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you said a bacteria into a fish its like comparing a grain of sand with desert no lol it cant become fish in a control environment it will take very very long time and wil it become a fish? I doubt it. It will become organism which can survive better into its environment and it can be any form .... Im sorry bud but when you ask "a bactrria into a fish in a control environmenr" that clearly shows you lack knowledge of evolution because you would ask such question the different of complexibility and scale between a bacteria and fish is very high and no tech in modern world right now to achieve such complexibilty at a very very rapid rate a century is a very small time on a evolutionary time scale. A fish is a multicellular eukaryot arganism and a bacteria is a single prokaryot even there a many different between a prokaryot and a eukaryot. You are asking for a jump from earth to moon :p. I forgive my english i know its very bad , im working to improve it :)

    محترمی و معظمی ڈاکٹر صاحب آپ نے اپنی لیکچر میں ایک جگہ فرمایا کہ زمین کے ساتھ دوسرے سیارچہ کے ٹکرانے سے ایک بڑا ٹکڑا الگ کر زمین کے محو گردش ہوکر چاند بن گیا بجا اور پھر آپنے فرمایا کہ چاند کے مواد کا جب موازنہ اور ٹیسٹ کیا گیا تو اسکی مٹھی زمین ہی کی نکلی. بلکل بجا
    اب میرا سوال یہ ہے کہ چاند سے سورج کی روشنی منعکس ہونے کے کیا اسباب ہیں جبکہ اسکا مادہ زمین ہی کا ہے.
    دوسرا میرا سوال یہ ہے کہ ایولیوشن کے قانون کے تحت یک خلیہ زندہ اجسام کثیر الخلیہ زندہ اجسام میں ایک طویل زما نہ گزر کر ایوالو ہوئے اب بھی یک خلیہ اجسام مثلا پیرامیشئیم یا ایمیبا وغیرہ کی موجودگی کے بارے میں یہ خیال قائیم کیا جاسکتا ہے کہ وہ ماحول سے مطابقت نہ رکھ سکے لہذا جہد للبقاء کی دوڑ میں پیچھے رہ گئیے یعنی یوں کی یوں رہ گئیے لیکن میرا سوال وائیرس کے بارے میں ہے کہ کیا یہ یک خلیہ زندہ جسم کی مایکرو شکل ہے? کیونکہ اسکا سٹرکچر یا ساخت الگ ہے اور شاید خلئے سے چھوٹا ہے. اگر یہ بھی ایوالو ہوا ہے تو کیا ایوالیوشن آگے جانے کی بجائے پیچھے بھی جاسکتی ہے?

      Why do you have to drag religion into everything? So man came from one man and woman, you claim ? So did their children have sex with each other, aka did brothers impregnate their own sisters? You do understand that that would have to have happened and been a necessary corollary under such a world view.
      Close cousin marriages in the real world lead to birth defects and disease and genetic bottlenecks ensue when there is insufficient genetic diversity. Humanity wouldn’t have lasted 6-7 generations had we all been the products of incest.
      And even if by some miracle the ensuing progeny survived and flourished, why did Allah outlaw incest between brother and sister, when that was the method He himself used to populate humanity in the first place?

    It’s non-intuitive to understand that all this complexity is just natural and no intervention of any being is required, it’s much much simpler and easier for humans to believe that some being did it magically, especially when we are indoctrinated to believe from a very early age by our parents, teachers, leaders, elders practically everyone. And if we don’t conform to our parents religions then we can be shunned, disowned and possibly harmed. originally from Karachi Pakistan and Teer Haripur Hazaara, now ex-Muslim Atheist ., ,

    So you concluded that “yes, Darwin was challenged, and that challenge is overcame. Now we know for sure that earth had enough time to evolve life”.
    How about the title change to “did the earth have enough time to evolve life?”
    But no.
    It was rather, could Darwin be wrong - an ironic and innocent offensive, if taken literally. I mean any one can and could be wrong.
    But say, it’s only about the particular theory. That theory hasn’t been comprehensively critiqued in this lecture, and yet the title is suggesting as if Darwin couldn’t have been wrong about evolution.

    Dr. Sahab, don't you think what you are saying goes against the teachings of Islam? Is it possible to do so in Pakistan? Don't you fear a fatwa can be issued by those bigoted Maulanas against you? My last question is can someone in Pakistan deny the existence of Allah openly without fear of prosecution either by the society or state? I have been listening to your lectures very attentively since long and have become a fan of yours for your humane, liberal and scientific thoughts. You have been honest about India and Pakistan relationship and never seemed biased to me which is difficult for most Indians or Pakistanis however enlightened they are. I am not going to put an embarrassing question you can't answer honestly even if you sincerely wish so I ask you a general question instead that is," do you think the world would be a better place for us humans if there could be no religion?
    One think I have also noticed that to listen to such a enlightening lecture you have such a pathetically small audience. This further straightens my view that in Pakistan there are very few people who think beyond Islam but I may be biased even. Now I am going to watch IND Pak Asia Cup match which is minutes away and naturally I will support India but only the way I supported my state, district and village team agaist other states, districts and villages teams. Wish you good luck and hope that we will have a thrilling match which matters most because we know one of us are bound to win. Enjoy and thanks 🙏🙏.

      @@BabarUhsmani Never ever lose hope for the fact that nothing is permanent in this world but change. I always feel a progressive Pakistan is less threat to India. And Secondly, If we exclude the army, the Maulana, corrupt bureaucrats and politicians and of course the terrorists they are like us. I wish Pakistan to flourish because afterall it was a part of India once. Unless she doesn't get rid of all those I have mentioned above and having a vibrant middle class emerged with a larger stake in running the state we will keep facing the threat of senseless terrorist attacks and continue to have disturbed border. One other thing that really hurt me immensely about Pakistan is there seems a large gap between rich and poor there that is, the feudal characteristic is very tangible in Pakistan. There are, however, many enlightened thinkers in Pakistan, professors, media persons, lawyers, writers and I am hugely impressed with their liberal and honest opinions. I hope with time situation will improve there considering their persistent efforts. Good and bad is not exclusively Indian or Pakistani but is equally distributed on the both sides of the border. For example I have been often abused by both Indians and Pakistani people for my views but there is nothing you can do about the educational level of these people who obviously don't don't realise that this way they are revealing what they actually are. Here I am giving my views about Pakistan while we ourselves in India have plethora of problems. Such hypocrite I am.
