I just stumbled upon this video, knew nothing about it then I started thinking wow this looks like knaresborough and as it turns out it is, amazing detail and quality, the best I have ever seen, a work of Art
I know Knaresborough station quite well. I traveled in by train when worked there on and off a few years ago . The view from the viaduct is breathtaking as you arrive and depart. This model is just amazing and replicates it perfectly. Fantastic details in the buildings and steep streets leading into the town . It's just so wonderfully accurate . Many congratulations on a job well done.
What I like about this layout the best is that it proves you don't need a huge twenty feet by twenty feet to create an incredible scene. So much going on in such a short area. Love it.
A wonderful representation of North Yorkshire. Peter Goss, the builder, is a lovely chap and an architectural expert. Look out for his WW2 Layout, “Rowlands Castle” - another example of exquisite modelling.
Seen Rowlands Castle layout a few times - it's my wife's all time favourite one. Was told that the builder had a large colleciton of model tanks and built a layout that integrated them.
This has to be one of the best model railways ever in terms of the realism and accuracy of the location. Have been there before and it captures the place perfectly. Thanks for sharing, have subscribed to the channel, regards, Paul
I saw this layout two years ago in St. Andrews at their annual Model Railway Exhibition, and I have to agree with all the comments; the attention to detail and the tableau of the battle re-enactment added to the interest.

I started watching this video before reading the description and thought "that looks like Knaresborough" so I was pleased that my thoughts were correct. It is a great model of a really nice town that I have visited. Well done PILENTUM for your excellent video.
Very nice. To make it look more like a British town there should be lots of pot holes in the roads, Road works and several unnecessary traffic lights scattered around the place.
That is one awesome layout with fantastic detail. I love how it has many layers especially the shot of the passing train about to go over the bridge and the road going downhill in the background and I also like how you placed your people on the layout it captured the realism and looked believable. Good work I applaud you on having a fantastic layout I only hope mine turns out just as good as I am a stickler for detail 👍👍👏👏👏
PILENTUM no not at the moment as it is in the early stages it's just base boards at the moment and I am currently making kit and some scratch built buildings but hopefully soon it will begin to take shape and I will be taking photos 👍👍
Stunning. I love the way the trains pull away so slowly. Such an important detail. If there was just a little more notable pollution on the buildings and around the bridges it would have been absolutely perfect.
What a stunning model and so very nice and important to see the trains running at a proper speed rather than dashing about, makes all the difference. Well filmed mate :)

A beautifully modeled area - first time I saw model engines running at convincing speeds and acceleration. Very very nice.
