    You must be hired by Jeep to explain this process for sooo many dump wrenchers 🔧. Best ever and most informative tutorial vid.

    Very informative. I’ve seen so many cringe lifts/wheel combos lately.

    Really? I have never seen a drop knuckle lift on a straight axle. How would that work?

      Appreciate you! For these lift kits on the sport models, is it ok to run 35s on sport models? I don’t wheel hard at all. I’m
      New to Jeeping.

      @@litoornelas6409 Yeah 35's are fine. It is best to run a set of wheels with more offset because a 35 inch tire will be wider and it can contact the frame and rear sway bar. Good luck and have fun.

    I just installed mine yesterday, followed the directions included with the kit and used a shop lift and pole jacks.. Your video was really helpful too. However, I had an issue with the front axel. The axel drifted to the drivers side a few inches making it hard to install the new passenger side link. Is this typical? I also had an issue with the rear and the nuts holding one of the links The threads started great, but bound and the threads of the nut were damaged. I noticed these were slightly deformed, they all were. Luckily I was able to obtain a similar nut to complete until I can order an exact replacement. Is that something that is common or an occasional issue?

      If you have the track bar installed when you drop the axle down to get the springs in it will pull the diff to the driver side. It can be difficult to then get the new lower arms in. I installed another one this past week and it wasn't as pulled over to the drivers as the one in the video. The adjustable track bar definitely helps if you can get one. Some of the nuts used in the front and rear suspension on these JL's are pintch nuts. These will thread on easily to the top of the nut then bind. This is to prevent them from coming loose. You can I.D these style nuts by three triangles on the top of the nut or by waves in the threads at the top of the nut. I have also seen where the threads get damaged during removal, sometimes a tap will clean these up. Good luck and enjoy the your Jeep!

    So whats with all the hate on the Mopar lift? People are complaining about the lift being "incomplete". Silly me I thought the engineers who designed the Jl would also be smart enough to design the lift and give you what you needed. Any thoughts on this?

      I don't understand either. I have 65,000 miles on my Jeep. Installed the Mopar lift around 6,000 miles. I didn't install an aftermarket track bar, steering stabilizer, or anything. Just the kit. Axle is centered, I've wheeled offroad, I tow a boat, 16' trailer with ATVs, and a 22' Camper. And I have the stock 3.73 gears. After almost two years I'm about to upgrade to 4.88s. But regardless, the lift is doing all it's supposed to do.

    Both of my front springs have blue tags it is a 2.0 l turbo gas 2021 Wrangler Rubicon are they supposed to both be blue?

    • @Tech_1968
      @Tech_1968  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 2.0 kits will have the same part # and have blue tags. Unfortunately the instructions don't mention anything about the spring #'s or position. We have lifted a bunch of 2.0's and have not had any issues. Hope that helps and good luck with the install.

    I need help please, what’s the quickest way for me to tell which spring goes in the front, the springs I have from the Mopar lift has no tags. I bought it as a take off

    • @Tech_1968
      @Tech_1968  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The driver side is slightly higher than the passenger side, but only by a very small amount.

      @@Tech_1968 thank you very much! Also the kit I has light gray correction pads, the ones I see in the video are darker? Were changes made to the Mopar lift?

    This kit will clear 35"s with off-road use?

    • @Tech_1968
      @Tech_1968  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but depending on the trim level you will need to get the correct off set wheels to clear the rear sway bar links.

    I was the owner of a wrangler JK WITH A 3 inch lift and mud tires. Now when I see this young young kids put their hard earned dollars into deforming their Jeep, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. When you lift your Jeep, you increase the chances of ending your life, exponentially.

    That lift will work with 37s right ?

      I haven't personally put 37's on so I'm not sure. The rear tire does get close too body on the rear quarter. If you clearance everything they will probably fit.
