Hey. Just binged watched about 7 or 8 of your vids in last couple of nights. As a T5.1 owner for last 5 years & T4 before that, me & Mrs just been at Lakes this weekend and think we've both concluded we need to move up to Crafter/Man.... So came across your channel and love it, very inspiritional, think I've got the minerals to do my own with the help of YT..... Has it been a game changer for you getting a bigger van as you've had a similar journey to us?
Thanks 👍🏻 yeah massive game changer! Would never go back to a smaller van now. You will definitely get a crafter converted with the help of YT! Just be careful you don’t follow my build 🤣😂
Nice van dude :) I did up my work van, I love just deciding in the last minute , trip the mountains. loved my diesel heater in winter. well impressed . thx for sharing
Just stumbled on your channel as I'm looking to convert a TGE / Crafter next year and your set up looks bang on. I'll have a look at your earlier vids to see the build but fixed double, shower / toilet cubicle, kitchen and sitting area in a mwb. Quality mate.
😁 thanks Steve 👍🏻 yeah it’s a lot to squeeze in 😂 hopefully the vids give you some good ideas and tips. Feel free to ask any questions you may have along the way 😊
Wild camping is illegal in the Lake District, and has ben for decades. Around 140'000 acres of the Lake District is owned by the National Trust, with the Lake District National Park Authority managing much of the rest..... Since the Lake District gained World Heritage status, they have really tightened up on overnight parking in lay bys etc. There is a tourist tax in the pipeline.......
Noticed a lot of the lay-by have signs up. Ruins the experience for those who want a peaceful night in the lakes who genuinely keep the area tidy and respect locals
@@AXISUK I agree. Although there have seemingly been a lot of issues of one sort or another since the pandemic, and they (the powers that be in the area) are allegedly looking at ways to try and regulate or control it. I don't have a full grasp of exactly what's going down, but I did work for an organisation who at times worked with the Lake District National Park Authority...although I'm retired now, so I've lost touch with it all..... I did hear a couple of years back, the LDNPA were taking on a further 100 wardens to help regulate things...... The LDNPA did dish out a number of £800 fines during the pandemic lockdown, to people who had clearly travelled into the area from outside. The police stopped one car during a lockdown with 3 guys in it, who turned out to be from somewhere in Lancashire. They claimed to be going up to the Lakes to "feed the ducks" on Windermere. Yes, and my grandmother was an astronaut.......
@@Brian-om2hh haha yeah lockdown definitely had some chancers pushing the boundaries! Aria falls car park I believe allows overnight stays and the one at Poole bridge states 24hr parking, so can’t see how the LDNPA can fine you?
The NT were trialling overnight camping at Aria Force and a small number of other places but the Lake District National Park Authority threw a wobbly so not sure if it's still allowed or not
@@LeeThomas11 if they provided overnight parking at these locations, then this would generate a small income to the NT and also stop people dumping rubbish at little pull up points
Lovely van and scenery
Thanks Steve👍🏻 yeah a stunning place 😊
