Just want to say, if you do this and AWD wont engage again, YOU BLEW A FUSE, so check your fuse box and replace it. When switching between AWD and RWD, turn the vehicle off first, it will prevent you from blowing a fuse (some people still did after but its rare). A lot of people cut the orange wire and it works for them, but for some it will blow a fuse, I read on myg37 that the dark GREEN wire (ground) is a better one to tap into, as it doesn't blow fuses as often. Not quite sure if G35 and G37 are the same in that manner. Other than that, great video!
I had a G37s May come as a dumb question but why switch to rwd? I thought awd with the 3.7 engine has a better power band but I’ve never experienced an awd G37s could you tell me the downfalls before I purchase one lmao
Asg ddgg the awd is a heavier car but the RWD is very traction limited. I installed this switch because it was easy and lets you do burn outs. As far a power band, its the same
Ach Cru i ran it for a few weeks one time with no issues but besides that i only use it maybe like 1 time a month. I don’t know what will happen if you keep it on forever.
in my g35x 2005 i Just popped the fuse out in the summer and I didnt have any problems while cruising for 2 months but i was tired of always pulling out the fuse so i was about to put a switch on
I know I'm late, but figured it may help someone else. You cut the orange wire, so there's 2 orange ends. Wire each one to each side of the switch. Then it acts like a light switch. On = AWD, Off = RWD.

Eli Nguyen you only switch it while the car is off. If that still doesn’t work maybe the switch is bad. I don’t know besides that.

You blew a fuse check your fuse if that’s still good it’s the switch itself,check your connections

@@crisscross3422 did you pull the ets fuse? That's under the hood right? Have the same car. I just keep hearing I have to pull the stop lamp fuse
What are the colors of the wires you ran into the switch you say the orange but what is the other?
Jaydon Faucett orange is the only color. The other wire is only to extend to reach the switch.
