Great vid! Just so anyone who is looking, this is nearly identical to the D4 S8 also. No major steps are different so you can follow this with no issues. Tools needed: T30 bit for air filter box, 7 mm socket for intake tube hose clamp, 13 mm socket for support braces, light to see torx heads.
Does this apply to an Audi A8L D3 model? I have an 2005 Audi that needs maintenance. Thanks. I also dont know why so many mechanics complain about these cars. Everything seems pretty straight forward and they charge out the ass to have them serviced. It’s lunacy

(1) Isn't it nice to have all the tools and power drill at that! I had to go buy a set of metric sockets and torx bits. Then I realized that the screw driver is not long enough and I had to go buy a longer one. Then I realized that I cannot undo the bolts with the strength on my hands and the screw driver so I had to go buy a ratchet. It took three trips to the store. (2) Good thing is that on the D4 4.0T A8 models there is only ONE airbox and it's on the left.
Hi yes the car has a separate cabin filter which is under the glove box. Here is a link for a 2012 A6 which is a similar procedure th-cam.com/video/dlgW_h6gk7w/w-d-xo.html. This is not my video but was helpful when I changed mine.

What is the extension on your driver called? Where could I find one?
Hi it is a locking 3/8" extension with a T30 socket. I got it from Amazon part of the Neiko 00295A set.
