Wow That is a beautiful guitar!!!! I Love everything Epiphone is doing!!!! I'm in Love with my J-45!!! I would Love to add that guitar to my collection!!!!.
Sound: Koa's tone profile blends the midrange of mahogany with the top end of maple. Due to its density, a new koa guitar tends to start out sounding a little bright and tight, somewhat like maple. That Hummingbird is a show-stopper just looking at it. Beautiful! The Inspired by Gibson Hummingbird will have a satin finish, an orange label inside that says "Inspired by Gibson." Anyone looking for an Inspired by Gibson Hummingbird, be aware that Epiphone has several different Hummingbird models.
This sound svery bright and warm!! you played this very emotionally, i love that we can see your concentration on your face during the play. U had me swaying here to this!
Thanks Mark. She was a beauty, for sure, but I sold her, mainly because I had to thin the herd a bit, and I just wasn’t playing her as much as she deserved.
What ???? Wait ,,,, What did you say ,,,, KOA ,,, Epi ???? Now that Is Special. If I may add a few thoughts , Epiphone has done alot in the Japanese market , some say better than Gibson ,,, so never over look these as most came from Samick. Now if you want to split hairs , the only place in the world you can get "KOA" from is Hawaii. That said "KOA" gets a premium even tough Koa is in the Acacia(You did good at the pronunciation)family , with Acacia (proper)being harder (this was the wood chosen for the poles to carry the Ark Of The Covenant) of the two. Sonically I never found much if any difference ,, on paper anyway. Paul , Sir you have a gem there and more you play with time it should get sweeter. CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!
Totally correct about KOA and Acacia woods. KOA wood only comes from Hawaii if the same wood grows somewhere else it's Acacia. To learn more about KOA and Acacia....check out Ukuleles. Both Koa and Acacia woods are used often for Ukuleles.
Thanks for the clarification. I should have been clearer, as I was referring to the recently made, less expensive acoustics made in China. The Indonesia factory guitars are far superior Epiphone still makes great electrics in China

If it opens up, that would be great. If it doesn’t, it’s still stunning to look at! Very well done, brother Paul 👍🏻
You're helluva exclusive Epiphones collector!
Sounds surprisingly brilliant for but a brand new solid top guitar.
And the looks, gosh!
That is the best-looking Hummingbird I've seen.

You're bashing Epiphone China factory and opposing it to the Masterbilt factory.
Older, 2000s Masterbilts were made in China.

Also, dunno where you recorded this abd ehat you're hiding, but I'd prefer not having this strange visual montage.😁
