I live near the Corning Museum of Glass, and there is such amazing glass art! You should watch Blown Away, Series 2, episode 6, the glass blowers have to create a beautiful perfume bottle - a real life size and a large display size. It's pretty amazing!

Thank you for bringing up Sweet Home Alabama. That was really the only correct response in that moment. Rom Coms are so educational.

Was not looking forward to the subject (not a perfume girl) but was interested in the aspect of a glass bottle. As we were outlining you mentioned putting something different in the center, and I was suddenly inspired, and had to go to the google, and the Microsoft word (yes, THE google, and THE MS word, cause it makes me laugh, I digress), and make up a new template for the label. Well on top of that I had already searched for 30 minutes to find my light pad power brick...all I got done was the outline, and I am absolutely thrilled about this project and can’t wait to start it, but first sleep, and some momming. Thanks Sarah!

Legion 100% cotton paper is amazing for blooms I’ve found for pan/tube paints. I love blooms also but not a huge fan of liquid color I like more of a subtle look for watercolor but love the blooms so after some experimenting found that this paper does the same effect and was so happy lol just a bit of info idk if anyone needed that or not :) great tutorial btw!!! 😊

I know that idea of different special dimensions was explored in Edwin Abbot’s _Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions_ in 1884. Don’t know if he was the first one to write about it, but that’s the earliest mention I’m aware of. Thanks for the tutorial, guys!

Thought of fun ideas while watching this... potted flowers or house plants (with intricate pot), some more landscapes, a derby hat (the big ones), shop front. The bottle reminded me of Chanel so anything down that avenue...string of pearls...etc. 🙂🤷🏼‍♀️

I used a new sheet of graphite paper today (my first.) Before I started tracing, I put it between two scrap pieces of paper and scribbled all over it to try to get the creases out and wear it down a bit. Then I put an extra piece of paper between the provided sketch and the graphite paper over the watercolor paper. It helped with my heavy handed tracing. A kneaded eraser took care of the random smudges and toned the sketch down farther.

Such a great idea! Another trick is to take it and crumple it and then smooth it back out.

Great tutorial, I just painted it! I just wish you could zoom in closer for the details cause it sure is hard to see which makes it a bit frustrating. Thank my only complaint, I love everything else! These are awesome for a beginner like me!

I second this and it would also be nice as a beginner(I mean REAL beginner) to be able to have a better view of your palette to see exactly which paint you are picking up and how you get the value. It’s always just out of frame and if you could just slow down a touch. I’m learning so much and love how you explain stuff!

I feel like the videos without Keenan are way less focused and my husband and I are struggling to follow them. Our last few projects have been disappointing as a result. :-( I hope that next month's videos will be back to their usual concise self. We love the kits and until this month have loved the videos! There's definitely a lot of good hard work put into them.

What type of blue is that "deep blue"? It seems to be purer than the ultramarine and cerulean I have. Perhaps the equivalent is phthalo blue or cobalt blue?

When I was taking linear algebra in college, we were working on 4x4 matrices one day. A student asked the professor, "If a 3x3 matrix represents 3 dimensions, what does a 4x4 represent? Can there be 4 dimensions?" The professor responded, "Close you eyes and try to imagine 500 dimension space... no, don't! Your brain will explode!" hahaha
