I reckon the leftmost bit of that sculpture was a representation of the punchcards that were used to automate the weaving of fabric on Jacquard looms. It was the first programmable machine ever used in industry in the early 1800s.
Spring is around the corner Will, but it has not yet arrived. I am in Uckfield today on the motorcycle. It's off and on sunny, but very windy and temperatures are barely 14 degrees. Driving on those pothole roads is horrible, would'nt dare to drive at night, chilly in the nightly hours. Golden step drills, I hope they will be okay for the job. Those Punch Pliers and eyelets are a bargain, probably just fine for your cratch cover repairs. I am glad to see Mr Van has been taken care of by The Pros from Dover ;-)

Thankyou for watching Caroline. I'm halfway to York now. That Ouse is full of trees. Great cruise though. The river was low for this time of year. It's usually raining now. Have a lovely evening.

Another good vlog! Rather than a gimbal, I'd probably recommend one of the magnetic tripods for while you're cruising so you can steer easier and more safely. If it bounces a bit when you're walking, oh well! Excellent shopping haul 👍. I feel your pain; I just got home from having to buy 4 new tires. $980. Bang! Stay safe and well.
Blimey 4 new tyres. Ouch. Funny enough I've had my van 16 years and the rear tyres never wear down I only changed them because of age. My fronts every 25000 miles. I've sent the gimble back. It was heavy and weird to use. Not practical for me. I got a magnetic tripod...Works great...Cheers Michelle..
Good to see you enjoyed your visit to my hometown of Mirfield and you parted with some brass. Those metal animated objects are every 200 m along the canal. They represent all the trades that went on, like coal mining, masters, spinning, canals and trains. You were close to Dewsbury Golf Club there too.
