5:32 My Phal. Chingruey's Goldstaff from Whole Foods started blooming the day after Christmas. It is 26% amboinensis and I was only able to identify it by using Google Lens. I'm glad it's not fragrant. 😅
Have you thought about putting a shelf outside your grow room, to display what is flowering at the moment? It may make the flowers last longer, away from the the lights that generate heat.
@@elgranespejo you're welcome, I hope you're enjoying it, I know it came late this year ❤️🕎❤️ Brassavolas are wonderful and vigorous, you can't go wrong!
I have several Nodosas that seem to have a virus. Purchased from Hauserman in Oct. Have cut off areas that were bad, applied cinnamon, Isolated them away from my other orchids. Hoping they recover. Its my favorite type of orchid.
What an awesome update and close to the year! That Mark Jones x Richard Mueller is really unique. I like how you have so many different varieties of Richard Mueller hybrids. I think I just have two but both inspired by you 😁 It is so amazing to hear you so pumped for 2025! Sending all my best vibes for your journey 🌺🪴😊
@@OrchidboyTroy I hope you like your RM, they are so vigorous! ❤️ Yeah the last few years for me have been a little meh, but I'm very excited for the new year. I appreciate the good vibes and wish you a wonderful happy new year as well 🎊✨❤️
Nicole, thank you very much for sharing your blooming orchids. They are beautiful. I followed your advice earlier and purchased a few Richard Mueller hybrids. They really are very reliable bloomers. I love them. My Little Stars bloomed last winer, but does not want to bloom this season. It would be great to have a video about compact and mini orchids that are good for collections with small spaces. For example, cattleya species that are sufficiently compact and Their hybrids. There are so many beautiful cattleyas out there, but many of them are too big for an indoor collection.
@@annatydniouk5739 yay! I'm so glad you're enjoying the RM hybrids! I have a video on compact hybrids but it's older and a good idea for me to revisit this topic, thank you for the idea ❤️
The blooms are wonderful! Now that I've seen yours, I may have to get me a Blc. Pauwela Spots. I like the Richard Muller crosses, too. I'm pretty much at capacity with my collection, so I need to be careful about my fear of missing out and then buying more orchids, LOL. Thank you for sharing your collection!
Hi Nicole!!! Great update. Beautiful blooms this month! Like you, I have so many orchids in spike right now, and can't wait to see them bloom over the next couple months. I'm not sure if I told you or not, but I accidently broke the spike off my Green Cattleya while I was watering it with the faucet hose. That was my only flower for the month. lol CONGRATULATIONS ON 8K!!!! Whoot, whoot! 🎉🥳🎉
@@TimInUT hey Tim! How's the frog? 🐸 thanks for the congrats! It snuck up on me! That 10K is around the corner 😆 I'm really happy to hear you have so many in spike right now. I keep watching the Caribbean Orange Bowl you gave me, I CANNOT WAIT TO EVENTUALLY SEE BLOOMS 🥰
I hope you can get a bloom or two from that new growth! I'm not very optimistic about mine blooming anymore. That spike has been sitting in the sheath for months now. I think maybe the plant just doesn't have enough energy to flower from what's left after the dividing. I just saw 3-4 more orchids I have to have online. These are pricey ones too. I just can't let them get away. lol Can you believe me? I can't stop! Peepers is doing well...thanks for asking! He went through a period of just over a month where he wasn't eating but once a week. I got nervous I may lose him. But now he's back to eating daily pretty much. He really is stinking cute. ;-)
@@TimInUT Oh man, I hope Carribean Bowl bounces back for you, if it doesn't eventually I'll send you back a division of the one you gave me. I understand that feeling of wanting more and not stopping, it hit me hard during the pandemic, but I'm much more discerning now lol. Happy to hear that Peepers is well! Sounds like you'll be keeping Peepers for the foreseeable future 🐸❣
@@NicoleDeanna Oh, don't worry about my plant...it's fine! I just don't think I'm going to get a bloom off this growth this time around. 💜💜💜 So glad you've resurrected your orchid energy! I cannot find the Hamana Egret semi alba anywhere and have been looking for ages. The Walkeriana is easily available, but I've heard it can be really difficult. I'm an intermediate Catt grower. Your suggestion? Also, I'm really tired of the orchid industry pushing the latest orchids at expense older (not really old) ones. None of these Richard Muellers are available, I've been looking for Pauella for 6 months. Not even SVO has it. I did find Rustic Spots ‘H&R’ AM/AOS, which is compact and said to be fragrant. Will order it at some point. Fragrance, we'll see 😹
