Great sounding little kit, I bought one last week and I love it (never thought I would say that about small drums, I am used to a 26 inch kick, 13, 16& 18 inch toms), but I was blown away by how good these kits sound. Excellent drumming by the way, you are an awesome drummer.
I really like the Sonor Bop and Safari kits AND the Tama Swingstar Cocktail kit but this little kit sounds hella decent. And, unlike the Tama kit, it's not overly expensive. I guess I'll have to try this one out. Nice playing!
Helmsdrums I got a set of red Evans Hydro with my kit but honestly, on the smaller drums, this stock heads seem to work better with the smaller drums. The only change out I I made was with an Aquarian Super Kick I for the bass batter.
@@thumpdrum Cool. Planning to buy this kit . What are your struggles with it. Heard about the bass riser. I'm actually curious about the cymbal stands that comes with it specially the hats stand. Are they good enough ?
Caleb White All I did was tightening the bottom head and tuned the top head. I did nothing else to it. Maybe change the top Head, it definitely would improve the sound. I would suggest a Remo CS or a Aquarian TC. Thanks for watching my videos!
Do you teach via video by any chance? I'm a self taught drummer, so as you would guess, I never really learned proper sticking technique and rudiments.
I started with Ludwig drums in 1971. Been playing in bands since then. Always a Ludwig and Zildjian Guy. After much research, I bought one of these sets, and love it! It’s quite unbelievable how good it sounds, and how I can change the volume from pretty quiet to not quite as loud as my regular sets.
Daniel Barnes The wrap.was not attached properly.... the bearing edge was not good.... But the sound was.very good.... For me was more the quality!!! But hey... 399.... is not bad... but I was expecting more.

I own these drums also and they feel good to play also.Nice warm tones. They come with good heads. I would have preferred an 18 " bass drum though.

@@thumpdrum i guess Evans hydraulics are overkill for this size. Cause of the oil between each plys. Try using G2s or emperor.

i think they should have made the bass drum a couple of inches higher so you wouldn't need a riser

Josh Drumnator No particular tuning method, just tighten the top and bottom heads. It's amazing how good these "cheep" drums sound.
