i fucking love watching pros play casual smash cause i see the interaction with kazuya’s final smash on dreamland and im like “oh it’s gonna blow up the bomb” meanwhile riddles is just like “HUH?!?!?”
also kazuya has some of the most insane final smash confirms and watching him whiff it like 8 times and call it bad hurt me
I know I’m in the minority, but I do too. I would rather all the tryhard tournaments went away. The game is more fun and entertaining with items/hazards. Watching pros play with them is absolutely insane, and it’s awesome.
@@trailertrash2147 I feel like calling them tryhard tournaments is detracting away from how incredible the competitive scene is. At its core, Smash is a fighting game with a lot of mechanics that were made for competitive players like SDI. People would inevitably try to master them. There's a lot of history in Smash, and it only exists because people put their heart and soul into perfecting their character and trying to prove they've got what it takes to be the best. It's what some people love to do, and I think that's something to be celebrated. Just look at Smash Melee, it's been alive since 2001 because the competitive scene is so passionate. The game would've been dead a long time ago with the tryhard players.
I do wish more tournaments had items and hazards as a side event though, it's nice to see every once in a while. Maybe check out Super Smash Con's Smash 64 Combo Contests, they use items and the best players always show up.
@@trailertrash2147I think we can see more casual tournaments from top players without having all the “tryhard tournaments go away.” Those tryhards are why the grass looks greener on the other side. Smash is designed with both in mind, having them both would be much better than just one.

im surprise he doesn't just spam crouch dash the entire time. he could avoid the final smashs he was caught by.
@@alpha7even928You know crouch dash is only fully invincible for like 2 frames per dash right? Most of the invincibility is just upper body so the final smashes still hit.

Fun fact Bayo's final smash actually got nerfed in a patch that reduced it's knockback before you could ko your opponent anywhere at 0. It's still possible to ko at 0 but it's a lot more strict now.

i'm probably gonna be very stupid giving advice to a pro player, but here we go i guess.
as someone who dabbles VERY often in casual smash, nah Kazuya's FS is actually quite good. what you are lacking is simply knowledge. when "you" get your final smash, people immediately start acting different. for exemple, for Kazuya's FS, they'd start VERY often dodging / air dodging at soon as they get in your LOS. hell, even Nairo did it. the players start being stuck in two spot. either reading your FS and airdodging/dodging, and losing a 50/50, or aggressively pushing your shit in and hoping they are aggressive enough to prevent you from getting a clear LOS. for exemple, look at Nairo falling down at 10:18. he was reading your (potential) Final smash, and "that" moment would have been perfect to use it. these kind of air dodging free opportunity happens a LOT when final smashes comes in
Yes because people experienced with final smash attacks know the hit box and activation of it so they put themselves into positions where you don’t have an easy shot. It’s another level of mind games tbh.

I actually was the Bowser named Spider from the end of the video, I didn't realize that was you I fought Riddles! I only found out since a friend of mine spotted me in your video here. It was a fun match, though yeah, the cheese is strong with FS meter as you'd expect lol
Dedede has the advantage in this matchup. The Dedede has to make a mistake or not have platforms. Inhale while standing under a platform is enough to shut down every single option, forcing Kazuya to go over. Offstage Dedede just wins. Gordos in the air can be a really harsh hazard for Kazuya's recovery.

The thing I hate about the official online smash tournament by Nintendo is their is no way to practice for them dude to the items and more specifically the smash ball having spawn in rate when some one is at last stock. By this I mean if you went and set up custom game online or off line with the same rules as the official Nintendo online matches the items are actually 100 precent random. However the items in the online tournament are not 100 precent random
