A year after Seve Ballesteros died in 2011, I was at the 2012 British open at Lytham St Annes on Wednesday practice day, Miguel was walking from the 4th green to the 5th tee, there was a big crowd following Miguel's practice round. Everyone was trying to get his autograph with no success. I was standing behind the crowd of fan's and held up Seve's book and shouted, Miguel will you sign Seve's book for me. Well it was like Moses parting the Red Sea, Miguel stopped in his tracks and reached out to take the hold of the book over the crowds heads. Being a fan of Seve and knowing how much he was as a friend to Miguel he signed my book. Miguel went on to finish ninth in that Open. Thank you, Miguel

Not many people were around where we were standing. Out of nowhere you turned and looked right at us. I think I was star struck because I just stared at you without a wave or thumbs up. MAJ has a great temperament for golf, an effortless swing and at times a magical putter. He came close in the majors but no cigar in 2000 at US Open he came 2nd to Tiger, no mean feat when Woods was nearly untouchable. Not everyone can win a major but Miguel can always say with honesty he did the best with his ability and he was an awesome player.
Love your effort pronunciating spaniard´s wine names! Here in Spain we love his attitude, not only inside the golf course, outside them you could have a short chat with him seeing how humble is he.
He is a one cool cat. He was really nice when I met him at PGA West. Fred Funk, nice guy too along with Tom Lehman. Don't like his taste in wine though^^ I am not into Nicklaus designed courses. Norman courses much more friendly. Don't go anywhere near Pete Dye.
