- Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi’s chopper, which crashed on May 19, has been found, the Iranian Red Crescent said, as per reports. The Iranian Red Crescent chief said the situation was “not good”. A Turkish drone reportedly found the heat source suspected to be the wreckage of the helicopter. Chances of survival of Raisi, Iran’s foreign minister and other occupants of the helicopter are slim. The last thing the US is going to do is provoke a potential mass casualty war with Iran which could cost millions of Iranian lives and hundreds of thousands of American lives, not to mention the remote potential for some level of nuclear exchange. Iran potentially has a few dirty bombs or small yield nuclear weapons at its disposal. Their use would initiate a nuclear response and well..so It simply isn’t even close to a realistic scenario. It sounds neat, and checks all the conspiracy boxes but it’s fantasy.

But what we know is that it burned for 10 whole hours, in heavy rain, and for a second where the oxygen level is lower, on the mountain... I don’t understand the intricacies of disasters, but even mathematically it doesn’t work out that it had been burning since the crash. I have some thoughts, sorry, I wrote through a translator.???

How long a fire like that can burn depends greatly on how hard the helicopter hit the mountain. If the crash was at high speed there would be an explosion and very fast fire, but at slow speed the fire could be fed by leaking fuel tanks draining over a span of hours. Rain could even contribute to such a slow fire, keeping the leaking fuel tanks cool enough to not explode due to the fire outside. The wreckage burning that long is slightly unusual but not at all unexpected in such circumstances.
I hope the return translation works as well as the translation to English did.
