Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died in a deadly helicopter crash in Iran's east Azerbaijan Province on May 19, 2024. His mortal remains were discovered by a rescue team. While the cause of the crash is yet to be determined, experts say the bad weather could have been a factor. The initial investigation has revealed that Raisi's helicopter made a hard landing. They are also pointing out that President Raisi and his team were flying in a decades-old chopper. No one aboard the chopper survived the crash, including Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, a cleric and five of Raisi's close aides.

This crush reminded me of Kobe Bryant (very popular basketball player in LA) crush in Southern California. Same terrain with hills, foggy weather, but new well maintained helicopter and very experienced pilot who got disoriented and lost control. Most likely what happened with Raisi too. Really they should not fly in this weather regardless.

Can’t believe this theory for using 4-5 decades old helicopter
My point is
May not all parts of today's modern helicopter be manufactured by a single firm or country. Therefore the sanctions in place might have played the deciding role in denying iran its needs of new ones.
Also the bon homie between iran & China might have been a significant crucial factor.
The original manufacturing is done at an undisclosed location and the integration as per one's needs take place at a number of places.
This is entirely my view.
Russia has the exact same problem, she can't get material to fix her planes and helicopters, the risk is the same...
she seems to think she is all knowledgeable and her conclusions true but raises controversies.

Iran blamed them for the sanctions which they claim is the reason they couldn't buy a helicopter ,it still hasn't been proved that it was technical problem so they have asserted this completely based on a probability but Iran hasn't blamed U.S for the crash , they are just giving excuses when asked the question "why are you using a 4 decade old helicopter".

It also can be noted that the US Sanctions for years, also could be in part the cause of the crash, especially if the helicopter is 40 yrs old and they can't get parts for it. If it comes to the ICC, the US Presidents also should be called for the crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan, from 2003 onwards till 2020! This crash was caused by at least 3 factors that all came together at the same time. I doubt any investigation team in the world would be able to make a final determination. We know of two factors already. Adverse weather and an overloaded helicopter. Throw in simple pilot vertigo and the completes the picture. Mechanically, anything could have failed. But I doubt that anyone will ever be able to make any kind of mechanical failure determination. If you’re giving God credit for the accident, you’re insulting God.

The two other helicopters' pilots have also given their statements that since they were behind Raeesi Helicopter they climbed the cloud, and saved themselves from the cloud, Raeesi's pilot couldnt. Currently China Russia and Iran are combined working in determining the causes and will bring evidence to the world and will present ugly faces of these three satans to the world and will demand the United Nations to punish these three criminals and goons.
