This is such a interesting topic. I’m a Japanese who has been living in Spain for 2 years, so I was struggling with this and I tried to be a Spaniard as much as I could. But one day I got tired and I started thinking I don’t need it. For example, people here can be arrogant sometimes, hardly ever apologize. I was told many times,if you say “sorry” here you’re admitting you made a mistake although you didn’t. As a Japanese, I couldn’t get used to this and I got stressed. Now I stop thinking of this and I do what I feel most comfortable, which is many thank you and many sorry. I would like to hear more you talking about mind set differences like this video! Thank you for sharing your stories guys.👍
Interesting point. Now you mentioned it, I realized that handwritten texts are more appreciated in Japan, like in restaurants especially. Also, i believe handwritten texts are perceived by Japanese people as not "cold."
IMO Japan/Asia has a strong tie to handwriting, more so than the west. Here they put pretty high value on handwriting. Its a bit extreme but its kind of like if your handwriting is poor you cant be very smart or in some cases even viewed as a 'good' person here. Kind of like low class & looked down upon.
Good topic to contemplate how much I have been assimilated in Japan just like one of foreigners here. I could update my software to fit Japanese culture but unlikely my hardwares such as food preference, unconscious reactions, and body systems.. With being said that, i would like to speak loudly, "hey so what! I choose to live where i feel more comfortable and happier. Let just enjoy and appreciate your everyday now and here."😊
You don't have to be someone else. You may need to follow the rules, like the grabage rule and trafic rule. Some crazy Japanese says, "when you are" tha brah, brah, brah stuff. They also say the Custmers are always right. Of curse, they are saying I am always right. You'd better ignore the guy's saying because it is ignorable.

日本のデザインに関しては、日本語は漢字習得してしまうと恐ろしいほど可読性が高い(一度に読める文章の量が多い)という点にあります。
ご存知のとおり、日本語はカタカナ、ひらがな、漢字でそれぞれ役割が違います。そして文章においてひらがなは重要性が低いので、文章を読むときはひらがなを無視して漢字とカタカナを追っていけば意味がわかるため、英語と比較して恐ろしいほど速いんです。
なので、チラシにたくさん文字があるけれど、日本人は全体を0.1秒見ると、漢字やカタカナが脳に飛び込んできて、その中から重要な情報を瞬時に選び取れるんです。

アメリカに住んで１０年ですが最初の数年は日本とアメリカの違いについて考えることが多かったですね。今は自分の中のアタリマエがアメリカ風に置き換わって行っており、日本に行くと「こんな国なんだ」と驚くことが増えてきました

ただ以前のビデオでもお話されてた通り、わたしも含め日本人てオンとオフの顔が全然違ったり公共？の場ではプライベート感シャットアウトするの当然な感じもあって、だから疲れてそうな人もいるしサラリーマンの方は大変だと思いますが実際😭けどみなさんそれぞれプライベートは楽しんでると思ってます🥰笑
