There is hope to let go of the old life, friend, thank you for posting. It all fades away, and is barely noticeable after some time. It's always there, but you don't pay attention to it. Staying busy helps. Don't ever turn to any drugs or alcohol. But know the world is full of wonderful people who are all struggling in their own way, some deal with having a body in a poor way. Forgive them, and forgive yourself. You've probably heaped a lot of blame on yourself, which is wrong. Realize you're a beautiful human being inside there and run with it.

I just turned 23 finishing up college. I think she made a big impact for people our age. She and the band was our age so it’s hard to explain what the Cranberries meant to me. My Social group we were watching Friends and listening to the Cranberries.

On some level, she was vicariously representing me when she performed: see, this is what people my age can do! :) And i thought it was so empowering that she could be a person of faith, and socially old fashioned and yet be able to perform as a rock star too. What an inspiration! It wasn't until earlier this year though that i learned of her passing! Then last month i lost my only remaining brother to alcoholism, and i keep compulsively being brought back to the Cranberries music, which (while i still enjoyed it) i had put on the back burner for a good number of years. Especially the song "Ode to My Family". The song and video both take on new meaning as my own personal and generational family continues to shrink. But damnit, i thought Delores was going to stay with us a lot longer. Tears.

Was she even remotely Christian? Didn't she have a drug problem? Don't misunderstand, I had a sudden sadness come over me. I was into all this in the 90s and then I moved onto punk rock.. But there is a darkness attached to some music. I had to fight a 3 month battle with demons. I'm just older, 44, and the reality of things have come into view. Jesus is my rock star now. I proudly serve the King. Though it is taboo, I no longer care. I hope she had Him.

"Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?" is one of the very few albums that I can listen from the first song to the last song without skipping one song and I wonder how many of you got goosebumps when listening to Linger? I remember very clearly that's exactly what happened to me when I first listened to this song, many years later, I am still getting goosebumps when listening to this song. never been a Cranberries fan, only really new Linger and Zombie from Radio play. Then the Cranberries live in Paris randomly appears in my you tube recommendations and I watch the whole concert. Dolores actually sounds way better live, the use of dynamic range and many different techniques, subtleties are all noticeable in live performance. Perhaps my favourite thing of all is when she sings live her accent comes through. Basically my point is first time I heard her sing live I got goosebumps too, just wish I'd heard her sing live earlier because I would have loved to have gone to some Cranberries concerts.

I watch this song having heard it first come out back in 1993 on the radio, and I feel the years as she walks up to the front before she starts singing. This was a song she wrote when she was young about her emotions, and probably never expected to still be singing it in 2017. Yet you see how calm and casual she goes through the lyrics. You know in the back of your mind she has performed this song a thousand times and yet she yearns for the crowds response as she sings like a true professional. It's more than her just singing a song, it's everything that led up to this night.
Another beautiful Irreplaceable soul, who gave this world so much, when it truly needed it... gone forever. Her music will be with us forever though 😭😢
So sad listening to this song. When Sinead O'Connor recently passed away I thought of Delores immediately, and thought to myself two incredibly beautiful talented musicians, both had voices like no other, two women so alike in so many many ways, two tortured souls. So much sadness within themselves. Their music managed to get so many of us out of whatever we were going through, but they couldn't help themselves. That breaks my heart. With all they gave us, I just kept thinking if only they could have been helped the way their music helped so many of us then perhaps they would both still be here. I hope they now know how many lives they touched and how much we appreciated and loved them. I hope those two beautiful souls are singing together and free of all the pain suffering that couldn't be healed here on this earth. They will never be forgotten and truly missed. ❤❤

"Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?" is one of the very few albums that I can listen from the first song to the last song without skipping one song and I wonder how many of you got goosebumps when listening to Linger? I remember very clearly that's exactly what happened to me when I first listened to this song, many years later, I am still getting goosebumps when listening to this song. RIP Delores, thank you for all the memories that you and your band brought to us.
never been a Cranberries fan, only really new Linger and Zombie from Radio play. Then the Cranberries live in Paris randomly appears in my you tube recommendations and I watch the whole concert. Dolores actually sounds way better live, the use of dynamic range and many different techniques, subtleties are all noticeable in live performance. Perhaps my favourite thing of all is when she sings live her accent comes through. Basically my point is first time I heard her sing live I got goosebumps too, just wish I'd heard her sing live earlier because I would have loved to have gone to some Cranberries concerts.

I watch this song having heard it first come out back in 1993 on the radio, and I feel the years as she walks up to the front before she starts singing. This was a song she wrote when she was young about her emotions, and probably never expected to still be singing it in 2017. Yet you see how calm and casual she goes through the lyrics. You know in the back of your mind she has performed this song a thousand times and yet she yearns for the crowds response as she sings like a true professional. It's more than her just singing a song, it's everything that led up to this night.
Another beautiful Irreplaceable soul, who gave this world so much, when it truly needed it... gone forever. Her music will be with us forever though 😭😢

So sad listening to this song. When Sinead O'Connor recently passed away I thought of Delores immediately, and thought to myself two incredibly beautiful talented musicians, both had voices like no other, two women so alike in so many many ways, two tortured souls. So much sadness within themselves. Their music managed to get so many of us out of whatever we were going through, but they couldn't help themselves. That breaks my heart. With all they gave us, I just kept thinking if only they could have been helped the way their music helped so many of us then perhaps they would both still be here. I hope they now know how many lives they touched and how much we appreciated and loved them. I hope those two beautiful souls are singing together and free of all the pain suffering that couldn't be healed here on this earth. They will never be forgotten and truly missed. ❤❤
