Yamaha makes a quality reliable machine . If they could only quiet down the cab a little from factory . It doesn’t bother most people but for me working around extremely loud rotating equipment all day wearing double hearing protection I am done with noise after a 12 hour day. After owning an OG can am commander a quiet cab was #1 on my list lol. I purchased a can am defender hd9 and am very happy with it. Great video .👍.
those bushings in the rear suspension are most likely not wore . My Yamaha Grizzly had the same play in them , so went and bought new bushings for both sides and after replacing one side , it still had the same play in it. I had switched the type of grease I was using and it was a thinner grease so I went back to using Lucas Red n Tacky grease which I had previously used and the play went away . So when I had my Rmax and now my YXZ I only use Lucas Red n Tacky
Just found you channel and really dig it. I have a rmax2 and was wondering have you ever had one in that had the loud random clapping sound some of them have. Mine has made the sound since day one. Once it is warmed up it starts slapping/ clicking nose at random from 25+ mph. Called Yamaha and they told me it was the characteristic of the machine. Have had 0 issues with 3800 miles but the noise is really annoying and doesn’t sound good lol have yet to find it. Anyways any input would be appreciated. Dig the channel
They are both about the same as far as in cab noise goes. His might be slightly quieter as he has a roof bag and fire blankets shoved behind the seats.
If i ever bought a new machine it would be a yamaha but i hate how you have to remove the whole interior compared to my 16 rzr 900s . not a very good design
I have to seriously thank you for helping me NOT buy a Rmax. Just having to take it apart to do maintenance is not appealing. And to be honest I was not impressed seeing wear on those clutches with the little mileage it has. They used to go forever on the old grizzly’s. Not so anymore. Thanks again for this video as you did a really good job.

That clutch certainly does not look more reliable than my Polaris clutch.
Yamaha makes some good machines!
Yes they do!
I am impressed with how they do the engine air filters. Wish my RZR xp was like that

I agree they certainly are loud in the cab.
Glad you enjoy your new purchase and glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks!
damn... i missed all this relaxing stuff
Nice work, my stuff doesn’t see that much maintenance in its whole life.

Awesome!
Besides the cab noise. What are your opinons on the machine? Is the power transfer smooth snd quiet? Excessive cab heat?

They say on these to use mortified grease on these ?
I use yamalube Ultramatic grease. A lot of people are using Tinkseal, I ordered a jug to try out.
you ever get problems with your front axles on these....my xtr fronts started clicking from within 150 miles
The front seem fine on mine but my back ones recently started clicking when turning sharp.. seems to be pretty common on these.
My axles click for 6000 miles. Just threw in a new rear axle and the old clicky one is the spare.
Is it as loud as your 4 seater

They are good machines, but yes not the easiest to service..
He "washed" it with what? Dust?😂
