Billy, I bought a long arm 10 years ago for $38,000. I had no intention of starting a business but my husband had just passed away and I wanted to do my quilts and quilts for charity. Long story short with no advertising or effort on my part I made enough money to cover the cost of the machine in 2 years. I only do edge to edge, all computer driven and I don’t work all the time. I was amazed how many people just wanted someone who wasn’t going to keep their quilt for months. Friends just kept asking and telling their friends. The Stetler I have was easy to learn, as I’m sure many are, but they do quickly pay for themselves. Good luck
Good morning! I love to start my day with the three of you! What a great way to start my week!! Love the family interactions. Thank you for all you do and share with us.❤❤
So much fun! Gore OKlahoma is a very small town in Eastern Oklahoma (the green country of Oklahoma). Very close to me. They are very sweet people. Thank you for mentioning them!
Great video. Thank you for sharing your experience at market. I agree with Billy…he should go to quilt market every year and it would be great if he went around and introduced everyones booths. Loved the shout out to all the quilt shops and to my surprise I know one of them the quilted goat in Clovis great family met them at a quilt show in September.
Great video, and first on the list was my FAVORITE quilt shop ever in Colchester! I moved out of state and still order fabric from them, so cool to know they were at quilt market :) Enjoying the Beautiful quilts to see on the wall and table, thank you so much!
Such a fun video! Thank you for showing the Fireside. It's one of my favourite backings. The first time I used it was 8 years ago. I love it! It's so nice to see all the new (and very pretty) colours.
Love the mods minute. Thanks for the update, really warm fuzzy backs are becoming so popular! Side ..is Chelsie alright? She seemed so quiet, and reserved today? Blessings
I really enjoyed this video as I always do. Love the interaction with you three!! The Moda minute was interesting and I was pleasantly pleased to hear about the Fireside backing fabric. Thank you. I was also loved the fact that you shared the names of some of the quilt shops around the country. And I was so tickled when you mentioned JK Quilts! It's my favorite quilt shop in our area and the girls are so talented and gifted and a great resource. It's a great shop! Thank you for all that you do.
Good Morning from Southwest Kansas 🌻🐝🌻 Loved the podcast today well love all of them! Made my morning!❤ The three of you had so much information on the Quilt Market Festival. Thank You!❤
Is there a guide somewhere to help me figure out yardage when buying a 60" wide backing? I love the idea of the Moda Fireside, but am wondering how to piece it together for a backing?
I love working with Fireside on the back Because....I quilt my own on my domestic. I will not do minky. It is too messy and I have to get my machine cleaned after. Fireside, while not as soft as minky, it is softer than flannel. I even do some big stitch embellishment with it. Love Fireside.
I love JK Quilt shop. They go above and beyond for their customer service and have the best fabric choices. If you're ever in Meridian, Idaho stop by. You will be very pleased.
The fireside looks great but I wonder 1) will there ever be prints? 2) what is the cost especially compared to widebacks and the current competitor backing. Great show as always🥰
I didn't even know Fireside existed until today. What colors would best coordinate with Bountiful Blooms? I've been hoarding a jellyroll and am about to break into it. 🍂🍁🧡
I'm interested in the Moda fireside fabric but can a polyester backing work with an all cotton pieced top? I'm concerned about how it will wash, dry and shrink. I usually use a cotton flannel for the back. Thanks
You said the Fireside was Polyester? How does that work with a cotton top with shrinkage? The cotton top will shring and the Polester backing will not.
Thank you for another fun episode. I appreciated the Moda Minute and the update on Moda Fireside. It is my "go to" backing for the quilts I give away to those going through cancer treatments. Do you know if Moda has any plans to make Fireside wider than 60 inches?
Love the Magnolia quilt ❤. I made it in Strawberry Lemonade but haven’t had it quilted yet… what is the top quilt behind Chelsi called? It looks beautiful.
Enjoy your video so much. What is the name of Billy and Isabel’s podcast cast. I played the section back where Billy said the name 3 times and could not understand the full name. Thanks ❤❤❤
Billy!!!! You remembered me! (Carolyn) Just sittin here watchin minding my own business.... and you mentioned me. Got my 5 min of fame! :) Thank you.
How great of you to mention the owners of the quilt shops you talked with!

I second that comment. J K Quilts goes above and beyond to help their customers. Love their customer service.
Thanks to looking for your fabrics I found a quilt shop 1 mile from my home!
Your quilt market videos were wonderful. Loved seeing each designer showing their new creations and fabric lines. Just informal and fun.

What is the fabric and wall hanging pattern above the sewing machine by Billy? Love it!

Yes Billy you need go enjoy your Video at market
Great idea to give a shout out to the quilt shops and owners. Wish you had provided their names and website link it would be especially nice. ❤
Chelsi, I love your Bountiful Baskets quilt 😊
I was recently in Canada and bought the “Fireside “ fabric. As soon as I touched it I knew I had to have the navy blue.
I have used fireside and love it. Glad for more colours

The Moda tour was really great! Loved seeing the various designers.
Side note: Did you guys get snow in Las Vegas? Is that normal?
You said the Fireside was Polyester? How does that work with a cotton top with shrinkage? The cotton top will shring and the Polester backing will not.

Chelsi you looked a bit tired or upset today. Hope everything is ok. Take care of yourself!
Love the Magnolia quilt ❤. I made it in Strawberry Lemonade but haven’t had it quilted yet… what is the top quilt behind Chelsi called? It looks beautiful.
Billy - could you please link / share the information for the shops that Sherri & Chelsi shared as well?
Jk quilts in Idaho is the best
would you wash the flannel like backing before you quilt it?
Love that new pattern on the wall!!! Will it be released with the fabric line or before?
There's a link in the description box for it
When are the lovely backings going to ship?
Chelsi, I hope you're okay. You seemed a little 'distant' in this video.
Hope Chelsi is alright.
Enjoy your video so much. What is the name of Billy and Isabel’s podcast cast. I played the section back where Billy said the name 3 times and could not understand the full name. Thanks ❤❤❤
I think he said "The Gringo and his Girlfriend".
What did you say your podcast was, Billy? I tried finding it, but couldn't.
Billy, START A LIST OF WHAT YOU WANT TO HIGHLIGHT IN THE NEXT QUILT MARKET VIDEOS !
Who or what is H&H?
Worried about Chelsea ☹️
