First of all thank you for watching and give your honest opinions about the video. We have never said se are good with BFT fishing. You are right that we are just rookies and are learning about this new type of fishing. There are many ways I can learn a new thing. I can watch TH-cam, google, from my viewers like you, or I learn from my mistakes and and find better ways on the next trip. I recognized as soon as we threw the live bait down right after we got hooked up on the madmac. I am proud of ourselves that we corrected our mistakes and landed the fish. I always love to fight any fish with a clicker on. I know many people do not like it but that is how I like to fight the fish with the clicker on even when Josh and Eddy told me it is not a good idea. I am out on the water fishing the way that I love and enjoy the most. I have learned that no one live my life but me. I do not care what others tell me what I need to do the way they want. If you notice, I do not ask people to subscribe to my channel. If you feel you like to follow me, that is your choice and decision. I will continue to turn on the clicker when I fight the fish the way I want too. I can't please everyone. BTW, I have learned when you are happy, you have a big heart and full of love and treat others the way you treat yourself. Yeah baby!♥️

It may seem strange but we have more fun with the drama and chaos. The three of us are always laughing at our own failures. Never take things too serious, enjoy the journey. It's more important than the ending. But I do agree with the clicker! Thuy drives me crazy with that thing. Lol.

I just drove 1600 miles in two days to buy a 19 ft Arima from Washington. So excited to see your catch. Any recommendations for rod and reel? How far out did you have to go to find tuna?
Thanks for watching. I love Arima boat. I have been fishing on 16ft, 19ft, and 21ft for 20 years and they were all great boats. Congratulations on your boat. Set up for BFT can be varies. My recommendation is a bent butt rod and a reel can hold at least 700 yard of at least 100# braided line and 250# to 300# mono leader. I have used Penn international 50 wide with 150# braided main line with 250 # mono. I have fished with 250# Berkeley Trilene mono and it is soft enough to tie a knot instead of crimping. There are so many videos on TH-cam about set ups for BFT. Enjoy your new boat and safe and fun fishing.

We have been blessed with 10 BFT for the last two years and we are still learning. Since we lost the big bft in LA a couple years ago, we have invested in bent butt rods and fight the fish using rod holder most of the time. We learn mostly from our mistakes. Are you rod holders for the bent butt rods at zero degrees or are they angled as well?
