- It's the GRAND OPENING OF VELOCICOASTER! In today's Universal Vlog we check out the Velocicoaster Grand Opening Crowds & Wait Time at Islands Of Adventure . Honestly the wait wasn't bad at all, I was able to hang out with some old and new friends! I also include the OFFICIAL JURASSIC WORLD VELOCICOASTER Front Row POV from Universal when we ride! I definitely recommend front row when you come to ride it for yourself. Enjoy!

There is no way that I’d wait 4-6 hrs to ride a ride. There is no way on God’s green earth that you’d get this old girl on that. Hey JoJo, please find an on the ground ride for us fun seeking older folks. Lol

Universal knocked this one out of the park. Never stopped building during the lockdowns. I dare say they have come out of covid better then Disney 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
They say in the Behind The Scenes documentary of the making of VelociCoaster that Covid actually helped them a bit because they could build the thing around the clock and didn't have to worry about blocking guest pathways or other areas that are normally busy during park hours.
It's so crazy, time flies. I Rember when this was first being built!

I remember being there three years ago (I live in Scotland soooo.... ahah) and seeing the divider, wall things up and me and my family were trying to guess what was gonna be there. I’m so excited to go back hopefully in the next two or three years!
I rode this a week ago for the first time and in the front row. It is the most intense coaster I've ever experienced and there isn't another coaster I can compare it to. It's so good and so definitely my new favorite. I can't wait to ride it again

Hey JoJo! VelociCoaster is my NEW favorite coaster! I rode it back during Halloween Horror Nights while I was there for three days. I can't get my mind off or riding it again!
Hagrids was absolutely incredible as well. Both are just beautifully executed rides in all areas.

I loved it, but I have to say, it was the first time a roller coaster made me feel like I was actually going to die lol couldn't even scream, that final acceleration... but definitely going back!!

I was at Universal just last week, everybody I was with was too scared to ride this ride..so I had to ride it by myself, twice. What made them all nervous was because there are no shoulder harnesses. I thought the ride was awesome!
Just went on it Friday....LOVED it. I was worried 4 months ago when I booked the trip (im from Colorado) about fitting on the rides at universal. I was around 288lbs at the time. I lost over 30 lbs and was about 255 and didnt have any issues on any of the rides the 2 days I was there. So back to Velocicoaster....i was impressed. Got a ride in the back row, the airtime, the hang time and the laterals were awesome. That last barrel roll over the water was awesome. Also the first half of the coaster before the big launch was WAY better than I originally thought it would be. Great ride!!

I'm on a vacation at universal right now, and i gotta say, velocicoaster is awesome. opening day was a bit crazy, but dhe tk soft opening we were still able to ride it. Absolutely go for the front row, too, it's much much better.

Jurassic coaster is dope, my sister and I got in single rider and only waited 25 min and ended up sitting together! Absolutely love that ride

WOW that is nuts!! Being that we live out of state, we didn't get to experience Velocicoaster until October! But we got to ride it twice in one day and it's now my favorite coaster in FL! Thanks for catching the grand opening moment, that's insane!

@@mbounce it’s not always like that. My son only waited 30 minutes last Saturday, and 45 minutes Tuesday. They’ve been running the coaster for 2 months.

I remember that when I went to universal studio for the first time, which was last year, I rode a velocicoaster and by then it was May 30, so the roller coaster had not yet come out, I think it was luck because I just waited 50 minutes and I was able to ride 2 times in a row😅
I’m looking forward to this. I’m going next week and I’ve always had a fear of roller coasters. It’s time for me to break my fear.

I’m honestly too scared to get on this but it does look pretty fun
I feel bad sitting outside the ride in the little courtyard and laughing at people screaming on the top hat, but I can't help myself. Heard one girl start screaming at the launch and continued in one breath all the way through the inverted stall.
And then there's the cussing that starts at the top of the top hat :D

I don’t know because I’m always there super early for any grand opening that I participate in, but for VelociCoaster you guys were by fire eaters but then the line goes past the ride entrance and burger dog and goes all the way back to the gasoline alley in Toon lagoon and then goes behind the gate near Harry Potter, when you get back to Harry Potter. Hagrid’s line did go to dr. Seuss area and through Sinbad and then straight into Hagrids
