- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 2 ส.ค. 2024
- While camping about 30 miles west of Québec City, where Mrs. Grand Adventure was raised, we'll explore the farmlands and small towns of Pont-Rouge and Donnacona as well as charming Québec City itself, where it feels like you just disembarked an airplane in France. It's one of only two walled cities left in all of North America. We'll even visit the 18th-Century battlefield that turned a future Canada British, and a massive 272-foot waterfall, so come along!
Filmed: June 2-8, 2024

ABOUT US
Welcome to Grand Adventure, a TH-cam channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah during the winter months, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and dog Zoe are avid boondockers, so while you'll occasionally find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. We've now transitioned from "long-timing" for six months a year, to living and traveling in our RV full-time.
We'll provide beautiful travel videos, as well as some tips and insight on trip planning, and equipping and maintaining your RV to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

First chance I’ve had to watch this weeks episode. What a wonderful review and highlight of Quebec. Every episode we watch makes us want more. It’s hard to imagine how much time you spend in research, planning, filming, reshoots and editing…..on a weekly basis. You are by far our favorite travel filmmaker on TH-cam. We so appreciate your hard work and can’t thank you enough. ❤
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Hey, we watched a day late! Absolutely love this lake we are on! I want the poutine you had! I had good and bad poutine but I’m sure yours was great! Loved the hike in Crocks! Jim commented on the beautiful river. Québec City!!!❤❤❤ Gotta,go. I’m thinking girls trip with me and Mrs GA! Catch ya next week buddy!
Fabulous video Marc! Really enjoyed this Grand Adventure, especially old Quebec City. I lived in France and Belgium nearly 10 years servicing in US Army working with NATO there and have sooo many wonderful memories of Europe. You always do a superior job. So glad your you and your wife are getting some fun time with her family. See you later, safe travels.
Thank you very much, Joyce! Glad to hear that you enjoyed this one, we sincerely appreciate that.
What a great travelog, Marc. Keep them coming and stay safe !
Thank you very much, George. And thanks so much for watching!
Your videos are always beyond amazing! Safe travels and God bless you all!
Thank you so very much as always, Michael!
Im surprised you dont have more subscribers. Great videos
Thank you very much, Heidi! We nevertheless are flattered and blessed by the subscriber base that we have.
Beautiful and wonderful, thanks Marc.
Thank you Joe!
@@GrandAdventure another great show tonight. I just got finished watching it. Can’t wait to see where you go next week. Stay safe.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@leeproffitt69 Thank you very much, Lee! We are a few weeks ahead of our videos, and I can tell you at least so far each destination becomes increasingly more fascinating.
Enjoyed seeing the gorge and the waterfalls.
Charging for visitors!?
Quebec definitely looks the part of town in Europe.
The French fries reminded us of Amsterdam: every block there was a French fry place with all different kinds of toppings. Their fries were great!
Thanks!
Ram
👍🏼👍🏾
When I first started coming to Quebec in the 1990s they were still cooking "pommes frites" in lard. They were so much better that way! Quebec City feels like you just stepped off a plane in Europe.
A wonderful video Marc. We visited this area in 2019 and fell in love with it. We will be back there again next month. Plan on taking a ferry ride to “the rock” and PEI this time too. Thank you for pumping up our excitement.
Thank you Gerald! Have a safe and wonderful trip, and keep your eyes open while you are on PEI.
When we did our Canada trip we stayed at Camping du Quai | Riviere-du -Loup, QC. It was a great campground near the St. Lawrence with an excellent restaurant. Nice job.
We traveled through there between this week's episode and next. It's a gorgeous area.
Bonjour du Kentucky USA.
Je vous souhaite, à vous et à Patricia, un voyage sûr et heureux.
Que Dieu bénisse.
JT
Merci JT!
Another good video. Love tho old town history. I visited Guanajuato and walked the cobblestone streets. The old town you shared could pass for any European city. Thanks GA
Thanks so very much J!
Hi Marc, thanks for the video. I was pulling my 24 foot travel trailer through downtown Quebec when I saw a sign “cul de sac” ahead. Great I thought, I can easily turn around there. Well as I found out “cul de sac” in French means dead end. Oh oh. This necessitated a block and half of backing up. Not fun
😆I am SURE that was an ordeal, Ken! I can't imagine trying to navigate those narrow city streets with any kind of trailer in tow. Some were too narrow to make a 90-degree turn at an intersection even with my F-350 alone.
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. 👍106
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
So Beautiful! The countryside, the old City, the history at the battlefield and my favorite...that amazing waterfall! 272 feet...wow! We explored just a small section of Canada a few years ago...before we started TH-cam. We entered at Niagara Falls and explored just a little along the Trans Canada Hwy to enter back into the US, about 3 days later, at Sault Ste. Marie, Mi. We had no idea how to travel and missed so much! Lol I am ready to go back and see it again now that I have figured out travel just a little more. Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you for coming along, SLBA! It may be hard to believe, but the terrain only gets more beautiful as we head east into the Gaspé and the Maritimes. There's a whole another country to explore up here.
❤ beautiful
❤
Thank you Joanne! It is a beautiful area to visit.
I definitely need to visit. Parts of the city remind me of Edinburgh around high street and St. Mary’s. Probably because some parts were built around the same time.
You really should, Darren, for it is so unique. It was an easier trip from Massachusetts, but it's still fairly easy from where you are now.
Very nice look at Quebec City. I hope you are prepared for the wind as you head to Sainte Anne des Monts. Always windy on the north coast of the Gaspe. Hopefully you ventured in to Parc National de la Gaspesie as well. Absolutely mind blowing scenery in there. We were camped there earlier this week actually. The Gaspe Peninsula has to be one of the most interesting drives in North America. Make sure your brakes are working well, and know how to use your transmission. :) Enjoy.
Yes on all, Shawn! We'll share our experiences there this Wednesday. Hope you had a good visit as well!
Great video Marc.
Thanks so much J, and thank you for watching!
Loved your video!
Thank you very much, and thanks for watching!
Thanks for visiting my hometown Marc, French Canadian here, now living in Boise Idaho. Has Mrs. Grand Adventure taught you any French words? We always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Christian! She loves to give me a hard time that we have been together now for nearly 30 years and my French is still so horrific. 😁
Beautiful gourge
Yes it was! And I never would have found it, were not for Jean-Marc bringing me down there.
Hello Marc, live north of Montreal and my sisters are in Quebec and Trois-RIVIÈRES. I have been following you as I RV all over NA… Maine next week, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, NM, Texas next fall and spending winter skiing in Colorado next winter… but, I still love to travel in Quebec.. Ste Anne des Monts is in Gaspésie region. The whole peninsula is worth the travel. The gulf of St Laurence is simply magnificent and driving right between the sea and the mountains is just super cool enjoy your visit and I am looking forward to your next video. Safe travel
Merci Sylvain, et bon voyages! We are thrilled to have you along as a viewer. We have been having a blast exploring Gaspésie! Last week in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts/Cap-Chat we cooked lobster and hiked in the Chic-Choc Mountains. That's next week's episode. This week we're in Percé where there's almost too much to see and do.
What’re you doing in France 🇫🇷 lol cool vid… ☮️
Thank you! Actually, truth be told we had a chance this summer to get our fifth wheel to a little-known tiny piece of actual French national territory, but we blew it.
Good video, your right it does look like a European or town in France, have to agree charging visitors $13 is a little harsh , travel safe
Thank you Gary, and same to you!
Very pretty ❤
Thank you Deb!
Nice area but like west Canada more
Apples and oranges, Norm. Wait a few weeks to see where we bring you, and see if your opinion doesn't change. 😉
Thanks Marc... another beautiful area of Canada. Allot of history in that area as well.
I'm curious, is the Gaspey area conducive to vineyards?
Gord
Apparently not, Gord. I haven't seen any. It is the wettest part of Quebec, so I wonder if it's too rainy?
@@GrandAdventure Interesting... perhaps it is too rainy in that case. I was wondering if it followed the same pattern as south of western Lake Erie and Lake Ontario and over to the Chaplain Valley.
This is where the hardy Catawba grape seems to thrive.
Gord
If I'm not mistaken, I think the summer season is far too short for wine production in this part of Canada, ON the Atlantic coast.
@@CoozeAdventures Could be on account of the amount of colder winter water and further north in latitude.
Gord
Great video, any issues with the language there in Quebec? Thanks Don
None in Quebec City or Montreal, Don. I've found that many more young people are bilingual than it was here 25 years ago, and it helps to have my wife along as a translator too 😄, but once we got further east into more remote areas I have found myself digging out my phone for Google Translate on more than one occasion. Everybody, however, has been very warm, welcoming and more than willing to make the effort to try to meet my language skills halfway.
It only looks like your camping in the hood... but I know your not... 😂
Gord
That would be one fine 'hood to stay in...if your camper is a Smart Car. There were some streets in Quartier Petit-Champlain that I couldn't drive my F-350 down, for I wouldn't be able to make the corner.
@@GrandAdventure Wow... Tonight's episode sounds very interesting.
Gord
S’il vous plaît dis bonjour à madame Grand Adventure pour moi.
Mais oui!
