  • The Most European City In North America (Van Issue)
    (EPISODE 254)
    ℹ️ About this episode:
    On this episode of LivinRvision, we start the week off a little on the wrong foot. We had issues with our lithium batteries not charging. The good thing is that we got it fixed and we were able to continue our travels to Quebec City and Old Quebec. We found an ideal place to camp overnight that is within a short walking distance to all the action in Quebec City and Old Quebec. In fact, there were quite a few other RVers staying there with us as well. There are no utility hookups, but it’s a great spot!
    This spectacular old town is a place you will definitely want to add to your bucket list! From charming European architecture, shops and restaurants galore and plenty of history, you will love exploring Old Québec! As usual, there is plenty of interesting history shared in this video.
    Next we are off to see Montmorency Falls, which is three falls combined into one big waterfall that is 90 feet taller than Niagara Falls! Then we decide to stay at the Quebec City KOA.
    We hope you enjoy! 👍🏻😊🤓

    Ahh Old Quebec, I spent many of days and nights in that beautiful city during all seasons, even had a French Girlfriend, summers were delightful with the street artists and a grand variety of restaurants to choose from.
    Winters were equally enjoyable with the winter fest and ice sculpture park and ice castle.
    That was nearly 25 years ago, I need to get back.

    Quebec City is beautiful. We lived in Europe for a few years when I was serving in the military, and the look is very similar. You mentioned Florence; I think it does have similarities to Florence or Siena, or any of the larger cities in France or Belgium.
    Please keep us informed if you have any more issues with the alternator belt. Glad Grech was able to set you up with a local shop for an aftermarket replacement.

    Hi Brian and Michele!
    We got our Grech! Every time I look at it I think of Opie saying to Andy ..."ain't she a beaut pa, ain't she a beaut!" 😊
    First trip...GA,SC,TN,VA,WV,KY and back home to FL. The ride is heavenly and the function is exactly what we need. Coincidentally we're having the same problem with the lithium batteries so taking it in next week. Grech customer service is top notch!! David even called us back after hours one night! He's a saint! Praying it's a quick fix, as yours was! I feel confident it's the same problem. Thanks for the video and honesty about the van! We LOVE this van! Some of the kinks are owner/operator issues !!!😂😂😂 But we'll get it all worked out and have smooth sailing once again!
    Love you guys and look forward to each video!

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  ปีที่แล้ว

      Congratulations on your new “beaut”!😁🤓 David is great! Did you look to see if the belt was missing? It should be a simple fix as we haven’t heard of any other issues with the batteries nor have we experienced any. We’re pretty confident it will be solved soon.

    We were there last summer and both ADORED QC! We had one of the best meals of our lives there and still talk about it to this day. There is a campground that has a shuttle to the ferry that takes you across the St Lawrence and picks you up in the evening. We spent a week there and I think we could have spent 2 weeks…we loved it that much!

    Nice to see Old Quebec again. I'm glad you got to see the city. Nice editing too. When I was RVing through there years ago, you use to be able to park and camp in a field across from the Cathedral St Anne de Beaupre for free. The sign then stated it was open to pilgrimage folk. It was interesting to tour the Cathedral also. This was on the lower level of Old Quebec, right along the St Lawrence Seaway.

    My bride ( wife ) after 35 yrs. she is still my bride. We are both retired now. Took a trip for 1 month up the east side of the US from ATL. From GA ,thru Tenn, up to Niagara Falls, over to New Hampshire and home. Started out with small plan. Got stuck in Ohio for 1 week just because there was so much history there. That is what I like about your channel. You tell a back story to ever place you go to, the history of it. Love what you do. With out the history of our past we loose who we are as a country. Thank you for giving us the past so we can learn. Thank you for all you do and teach us about all the wonderful places around the US. You make all of us feel what a privilege it is to live here and not take it for granted, which so many of us do. Learn from history. Turned out to be the best trip of our life. Go stand on the hallowed grounds of Valley Forge and Gettysburg and tell me you you don't feel something for what our country has been through.
    Thank You !!!!!! The back stories give me and my bride the enthusiasm to keep traveling and explore even more of our great country. Keep the stories coming !!!!

    Good day to you both. I only find one problem in watching your channel, i am now convinced i must buy a gretch. The problem is I just don't see how I can afford it. I love the ease in which you move from one place to the next on this RV 😂

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      😂 We comply understand. The industry has quality priced so high. Then some cheaper products and even though they are cheaper, it’s way too much for something that constantly has issues. Kind of an unfair advantage these companies have on those of us that can not afford the quality RVs. When we compared the Strada-ion to the comparable Airstream Interstate model, we then realized that the Strada-ion was priced well for all the advantages it has over the Airstream.

      Always a good idea to have extras of certain things but something like this is not something you would expect opposed to something like an extra water pump for boondocking etc. You can only “stock” so much. 😊🤓

    I am so happy you did video of Old Quebec City. My husband I visited there several years ago and absolutely loved it. My only regret is that we didn’t spend more time there. It was fun to watch the video.

    Hi, When you paid for the overnight parking, did it accept credit/debit cards & Canadian cash?

      We paid by credit card, do not recall about Canadian cash…which…would be quite a bit to insert at that price. Are you going there?

      @@LivinRVision I would love to travel to the many places you've shown on YT but still waiting for my numbers to show up on the CA Lottery so can travel in a Grech too. In the meantime I'll just travel vicariously thru you especially since I plan to retire soon. Take good care & safe travels.
