The Worst Rebel Start? | Star Wars: Rebellion + RotE | Playthrough | In Person | #40

Game 1 of 2 for our Rebellion set. In this video Chris and I play Star Wars Rebellion with the Rise of the Empire expansion. This video has me playing the Rebels vs Chris the Empire.
This game had one of the worst Rebel starts it felt like. All 3 of my systems were adjacent to the Empire. On top of that, I was failing missions, failed to block missions, and was captured then frozen in carbonite. But still it was a great game and hopefully a good one to watch.
I had a tech fail while recording this game and lost most of a round late in the game. So I have sliced in a before / after image and explain what happened in the round for you to still follow the game. Apologies for the mess up!
As always, no rules and just straight into the action, though that doesn't mean we don't make the odd rule mistake. This is mostly a raw recording. I cut some bits but otherwise its the whole thing - TTS fails, thinking time, tactical genius, skilled dice rolls, questionable audio, and great fun play.

Why does the death star start on corasant? I thought it begins on a remote system as a DS under construction in the expansion. Love the playthroughs! Where did you get those card holders btw?

It's only the RotE setup that requires it to start in a remote system when it's the DSUC. Base game setup you can put the DS anywhere.

Can I ask your opinion on which battle mat is best? I notice that you have used multiple versions over the course of your playthroughs. I'm looking at getting one for myself.

I prefer the one I'm now using in these latest videos. It's an Etsy purchase then a print yourself style. Got mine in mouse pad material and love it. Very clean system and easy to use.
