Wish you would have put out this video a few weeks ago. I was going to restore an old Stanley plane and put all metal pieces in a rust remover I used last year when getting rust out of a gas tank. The blade came out all pitted and now useless. And worse the body of the plane looked like "snakes" of missing metal. I watched about an eighth inch come off just with a gentle scrub. Next time I will use evapo-rust

Remarkable !!! How you remove the rust isn’t the key. The key is in your skill set to acquire the finished end.
