Forget traditional song structure. These guys are far more creative and experimental. I am really glad you chose to check this out. This song is so visceral, I love they decided to share this with us instead of just hiding the pain they experienced when talking about disbanding. By far my favorite from the rap line. And yes, Jhope is a performer to his toes. The man raps with his entire body.
Very true but they often use traditional song structures. This was one time I noticed a very large departure from this framework.

it is very difficult to always find a song structure for bts songs because their music is composed very uniquely different. sometimes what seems not to match musically does. fire', blood, sweat and tears', run bts, on' and no' are just a few examples of unique musical composition.
I don't know if these reactions are pre-recorded or not but in regards to your voice I highly recommend warm tea (not hot) with honey (Manuka honey is best for vocalists) or if you don't have that on hand then warm water. No joke. It helped me the most with getting over my sore throat and post nasal drip.

When I was sick and wanted my singing voice back I looked up how professional singers deal with a sore throat fast and that's where I learned about Manuka honey. I have yet to try it though cause that stuff is expensive for one little jar. But they also said raw honey works better too so that's what I used. Now I can get back to drinking slurpees! 😁
If you can find it look for an herbal tea containing slippery elm bark. Usually medicinal tea companies make something pre mixed. It really helps with the irritation from drainage and coughing. I have used it with honey and it works well. Hope you feel better soon.
@@Jurnalist_ to add on to the tea suggestion, if your throat is scratchy to the point where it hurts to swallow, add the slightest bit of ginger to the tea, it’ll help soothe it faster

I believe their vocal performance here is minimally changed, but you're hearing the autotuned portions that are part of the actual studio track which are loud in the backing track. I presume they did that because they didn't want to autotune the live performance, at least not in a noticeable way. Whereas, their recent release "Run BTS" performed in Busan seemed to be the first time Hobi had worked with live vocal processing onstage, since I remember him commenting on how weird it felt in a behind the scenes video or something like that. (Other ARMY please fill in the details.)
yeah he used that during their Busan concert on a few songs run bts, cypher pt 3 (especially this song it was very noticeable but with his unique vocal tone and the type of song it just added to the whole thing like it was MAD mad hype) and mic drop too maybe but after that it was just his voice without the vocal processing or whatever it's called in technical/official terms lol

Just yesterday I saw someone on Twitter be like: "remember the shock and silence when the behind the story of Outro:Tear dropped)?"
Basically I think Outro:Tear has been out for almost a year and has been a fan favorite as a simple relationship banger when 'Break the silence' movie came out and Yoongi/Suga said it was about them thinking about dissbanding (which we already knew they were thinking about dissbanding because Jin mentioned it at an award speech when they won either Artist or Album of the year (they won both but I dont remember which speech it was) how a year before that pressure became too much for them and were thinking of dissbanding) but it was still a shock to hear.
And it truly hits home how much BTS lyrics are versitile and open and can mean so any different things to so many different people

7:40 I interpreted that as the prechorus, before the "you're my tear" chorus.
I don't know if that's how it works in rap songs.
So I read several different translations for this song, and one particular interpretative translator who is a proffesor commented on Suga's verse saying that most of the words he used in his verse were archaic and very violent...
For example, the korean words that was translated into 'rip into shreds' and 'trample on my heart".
The translator pointed out that those words aren't commonly used in everyday lang...
Just some fun fact.
Another thing I noticed is how short jhope's verse is...
But if you look at the lyrics his keyword is 'fear', as in fear of even speaking about a possible breakup...
So being afraid to speak about it he ends the conversation very quickly. I thought it was such interesting way to structure the song.

Finally, 🥺 Outro Tear is one of my favorite songs. BTS‘s docuseries, Break the silence, features never-before-seen footage from the group’s 2019 world tour, Speak Yourself. The members also candidly share hidden secrets from the making of 2018’s Love Yourself:'Tear' In Episode 6, Suga revealed that Outro: Tear was written when the band was considering a breakup.
“The lyrics for ‘Tear’ were written for the members,” he explained. “When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together.” 🥺
That hits me the most.
But they didn't break up. They did their best more than before.💜🥺

Some think this as a song about disbandment, but not quite. The theme for “Love Yourself: Tear” album is about the pain of love, when “Love Yourself: Her” album released first which was about the heart-fluttering feeling of love. The last of the album series is “Love Yourself: Answer” in which loving yourself is true love. Yoongi said while he was writing the melody, it just happened to be during the time they were going through that difficulty, and then shared it with the members and they cried. Since this song is about the pain of breaking up, Yoongi must’ve used their current situation into writing that pain into his own verses. The difficulty they were going through was around the beginning months of 2018 I believe. BTS had exploded the year before in 2017 in the US and just their popularity in general, and if you thought they were busy before, they must’ve had no time to even stop to think or process what has been happening to them so overwhelmingly fast, but just busy meeting their commitments and opportunities all the way into January of 2018.

By the way, to clear things up, they were going to break up because the fame, everything was too much and different members felt differently about how to approach all that was upon them. In the end, it seems their love for music and for their fans and for each other was the way they found and it's working like a charm. No matter the press, no matter the haters, no matter others' expectations, no matter if 100 or 1 million. They do what they love, they receive our love, we receive their art lovingly. And so it'll move forward as un-strained as it can.
Idk what actual equipment they use, but they always have a backing track that has certain prerecorded sections if they know they can’t or wont do that part live. This song had heavy auto tune in the original track. Suga got an auto tune of his own and he plays with it a lot lol

for a lot of bts songs they dont follow traditional song structures im not sure if its a korean thing or just a bts thing since i dont follow many artists as closely as i do with bts. but i remember someone else pointing that out for a different bts song so i guess they do it often.

Oh I hope you're not sick or anything. If you are, I hope you're getting lots of rest and fluids. Maybe some lemon tea with honey. Please take good care of yourself 💜💜💜 I have to agree. J-hope has a really expressive face. I think he could probably pick up acting quickly if he got some solid training. Even the way he raps has a lot of heart and emotion in it. You believe what he says when he raps. I love the passion that they have when they perform this song. It's too heavy a subject to half-ass. To me, it's not just a BTS breakup. In some ways, it would have been a BTS & ARMY breakup too. There would have definitely been a shift in our relationship with them even if we still would have supported their music and other projects if they did any. I don't know how servere a disbandment at that time would have been. It's definitely a situation that would call for a heavy, heartful performance.
Also yes, I think the choreo has a lot of distance for that reason. It hits harder because BTS choreo is either a group effort where everyone is together or it's a relaxed stage performance where they play and interact heavily together. There's a certain intimacy from the latter where they are openly friendly and playing up the chemistry from their friendships. This is one where they cut all of that out and it's distant and colder than usual. It drives the message home strongly.

This is a song that brought the whole team into tears when SUGA played it to the members crying about breaking up was even brought into their conversations. That tear them apart, and become every member's fear. Tear as crying, tear as tear one's heart, and fear whatever is happening and will happen. Such a sad song and you can even feel it when they sing it live.
I haven’t heard what they use live. The live is crazy live with the energy they all have on state especially Jhope.

What the heck is the difference between a pre-chorus, a bridge, and a hook???
Pre chorus would be 2-4 bars that lead into the hook/chorus
Bridge is a section typically after the second verse that is either a new lyrical section or a new lyrical section with a production shift that lifts or extends the song.
The hook is the most memorable part of a song the part that is repeated the most often.
