The word “bitch” doesn’t quite exist in Korean in the context we use it in English, so it was the translator’s choice to use it haha. The closest would be 새끼 (saekki), which literally means “kid” or “child” but is frequently used with a derogatory tone to mean “bastard” or “bitch.” Often it’s 개새끼 (gae saekki), literally “dog-child.” Just another word to add to your growing vocabulary lol

Festa is a yearly event for BTS’ anniversary. We get lots of fun content for around 2 weeks! I don't know about others, but the main highlight for me during festa are the videos where the members sit down and reflect on their time as BTS. And I'm pretty sure when Army ask you to watch the festas, they are referring to those podcast-like videos! The 2022 festa had a dinner party theme for the get-together, a little over an hour long, and was where BTS announced their break from group activities. Pretty depressing for a lot of Army, but an important one to watch nonetheless to understand what the members wanted out of this lil solo era. So i’d recommend you start with their 2022 festa dinner party :) and if you want you can then go in chronological order from 2014-2021 (we didn't get a group get-together this year for obvious reasons)

Tae Tae is an entire mood unto himself. He is so unpredictable, and that is saying something given how chaotic the group can be. I think these were B sides and yet all still so entertaining and catchy. Keep listening and sharing. Thanks for the laughs.

You should def check out “I like it” (the first song) and also “I like it pt 2” which is from one of their Japanese albums but I think it’s an underrated bop. Also, there’s kind of multiple ways to say bitch in Korean 😭 the word yoongi used is pronounced like “sake-yah” which is more like saying bastard than bitch but it can be translated that way. The other ways to say bitch are with a word 년 (pronounced like nun with a “y”- nyun) but ppl never use it alone it’s usually with other words together like 이년 (ee-nyun) which means “This bitch” or 씨발년 (shi-bal nyun) which is like saying “Fuckin bitch” and it goes on and on

No BTS song has ever played in our faces the way Pied Piper played in our faces. They really created this track that sounds sultry, sexy and like it's meant to seduce. The way it's performed leans into that even more. Everything about it is meant to draw you in. And it's such a damn bop that you want to keep playing it. Yet the lyrics are scolding us for spending too much time focusing on BTS and tells us that we should focus on our school or work more and go out and live our lives instead of getting distracted by them. Like excuse me? How are we supposed to take that message seriously on a song we wnat to stream over and over again and where everything about the song pulls us back in. I'm so happy you did this one. It's def one of the fan favorites. Some context, these are snippets of B-sides from some of their albums from the past 8 years at the time it was released (their very first release "2 cool 4 skool", their first full length album "Dark & Wild", the last installment of their youth trilogy the first compilation album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever", the "You Never Walk Alone" album which included many of their first solo songs *within a BTS album* like V's Stigma), then the first album of the love yourself series "love yourself: her", the "Map of the soul: 7" album which was supposed to be their last project before enlisting until the covid pandemic and the "BTS law" changed their plans, and lastly from their most recent album at the time "BE").
So you got a bit of many different BTS eras and different genres they've done throughout the years. Can't wait for more reactions of their discography. Are you planning on doing every album? Or just like the main and side tracks from each of them?

Lol, Festa is their annual birthday celebration for the group. They debuted on June 13th, 2013, so Festa is every year from 2014. I'm not sure about the very early years, but nowadays, Festa covers most of the first two weeks of June and they release new content almost every day during that time. That's why there are so many videos. They can be anything from MVs to dance practices to Karaoke and taking photo booth pics with odd poses. They also usually have a meeting or a meal together where they discuss various things. The discussion for 2022 Festa is where they talked about going on hiatus and why. Next year's Festa will be interesting, because Jin will be the only one out of jail. The rest will all be out in time for Festa 2025. As in the last four will be released only a day or two before June 13th.

2:10 Don’t be deterred, there might be a confusion of what Festa is and you don’t have to watch all of that lol. Festa is like 2-week celebration in which BTS release new and unreleased content, like a song or two (that’s where Ddaeng came from), special photoshoot, unreleased behind-the-scenes or dance practice, etc. which leads up to their anniversary date 6/13. The Festa I mentioned to you the other day was specifically that video they release on June 12 or 13 (?) every year where the BTS/members just sit around the table having food, and just talking and reflecting the past year, how members feel in general, and the future, which can be fun and personal. Kind of like we’re having a family dinner with the members. Usually, later into the conversation they end up revealing their honest thoughts or go into deeper reflection. Anyway, if you don’t want to start with early times, I suggest 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. You might be interested in 2022, because that’s when they had a heart-to-heart with us about taking break/hiatus for now and focus on solo efforts. That time they didn’t/couldn’t reveal what their plan is about enlisting in the military, so they didn’t mention military as one of the reasons (not until after the Yet to Come Busan concert in October that year).

13 JUNE 2013: This is the date BTS debuted.
Every year beginning of June (or end of May) FESTA SEASON STARTS. During this time every day ARMY & TANNIES (we call BTS members Tannie) celebrate / have fun. Each day (almost) there is either a photoshoot, a quiz, a live, a bangtan bomb, an intervie, etc etc: THERE IS STUFF. Then on the 13th we expect at least one fo the following 2 things:
- FESTA DINNER (this has never been skipped)
- MUSTER (this can't be possible every year)
So, in my previous post I made a suggestion as to how you could tackle FESTA (which btw, holiday season, best season!):
- Watch content from FESTA 2019, this is a good-ass FESTA, it has a legendary MUST (MUSTER: MAGIC SHOP) and is just ... a good ass FESTA 😂 [though the FESTA 2018 dinner is probably top 3 legendary NGL].
- The watch FESTA 2021, is a pandemic FESTA. they skipped the muster in 2020 (for obvious reasons) but they did an online MUSTER (MUSTER: SOWOOZOO) which was AMAZING, even though there was no physical audience. This was legendary so IF ANYTHING you can watch this MUSTER FIRST before everything (😜)
- After those I would watch FEST 2014, just so you see how it all evolved from like a gathering, to the literal festival that is is now. [FEST DINNER 2022 is well ARMY and the world got traumatised ... 🤡]
BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU DO YOU INNIT! I was gonna wait until next month (finances etc etc etc) to sign up to your Patreon, but i think I'll just go do that right now.
