They are safe and on a prolonged vacation and are only there for visuals..America arrived longgg before them to set up base and focus on why they’re really there which is to take the countries resources under the guise of “humanitarian relief”…there’s footage of them arriving at Haiti airport dancing with the locals

Kenyan here. The Financial bill is something that was brought forward by the IMF and world bank. They were literally in the parliament overseeing them as they passed this bill while majority of Kenyans were outside protesting. They are imposing over 200+ new taxes, some of which are double taxes and land taxes that will probably see many lose ancestral land if unable to afford the taxes. There are clauses that the government can take your land isf it deems it as important for a public project.
On top of that there’s also a lot of budgeted corruption where new roles/offices have been made with hefty salaries including for the spouses of the president and deputy, as well as extravagant allocations to recurrent expenditures all while claiming we don’t have any money to pay our debts and development.
The Kenyan police were also sent out to Haiti in darkness and silence due to the heavy opposition from citizens. They were promised sh100000 or about $780 but they only got sh20000 or $150.
He is the most hated president as of yet. Such a liar. All he promised when he campaigned have turned out to be outrageous lies because he’s only done opposite.
To resist, is to be Human. Proud of you Kenyan people 🥲. Make history. 🇰🇪✊🏾
You're generally correct but on a macro scale there's so many infrastructure and public works that are desperately needed in Kenya the option is the tax or predatory loans from China, which is feasting on many African countries. It's insanely complex and sad
Sounds like Western Democracy to me, everyone in the West lives under the same corruption. Joe Biden's son is literally openly laundering money, sex trafficking, doing hard drugs and threatening people like a mob boss if they don't pay up. Western Democracy = Guided Democracy. "Guided democracy, also called managed democracy, is a formally democratic government that functions as a de facto authoritarian government or, in some cases, as an autocratic government. Such hybrid regimes are legitimized by elections, but do not change the state's policies, motives, and goals." th-cam.com/video/Z1EA2ohrt5Q/w-d-xo.html
Or neither? Either way national security is put at risk. People protesting and getting shot by police is terrible and leads to reprisal from the dissonant public. Taking a loan from China could be a risky but in the short term it would keep the tax burden off of the people of Kenya.
Idealistically Kenya would be a completely self-sufficient economy but realistically Chinese loans could be helpful in the short term. This should not deture the people of Kenya from forging a path to economic liberation on there own.
@@jacktheleper4468 your foolish the Chinese aren't predatory they built a beautiful railway system that cost less than what the west built for Nigeria. Nigeria railway system cost over 200 million and it's dated looking. China and Russia are actually building allies in Africa. The west is predatory you wanna know who has been predatory to Africa. The US and the IMF... We send billions in aid to develop countries like Israel Ukraine and Tawain who needs to hit up the imf. And developing countries should get aid.
U.s didn't want to send forces for optics, so Kenya will take the role.

Thought Kenyan police were sent to Haiti, not troops. Either way, this is a bad choice, since they do not speak French! As a veteran of UN peacekeeping missions in Asia and Africa, I can only say this Haiti mission is poorly conceived and destined for disaster
All they control is the airport, the opposition has local support, is mobile in all directions and is extremely well armed, and you're fighting on an island... this goes anything close to right it's just a gaza-style bloodbath with a lot of dead civilians. Wrong it'll look like Kabul if the Taliban actually took the airport by force instead of letting us leave
Haiti speaks Creole 95% while 5% French
There is other countries involved esp French speaking ones. 2500 officers in total. 400 Kenyan

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a low tax on cigarettes and alcohol. Keeping the masses drunk and addicted is an old thing. Taxing essentials is guaranteed cash but it also reeks of greed and desperation. This doesn't look like a good recipe for peace and stability anywhere on the planet.
