As someone that lives in Windsor, its actually not as good as you would think. There has been a lot of stabbings downtown, kidnappings, and fights. Other than that it's not too too bad
Correction---the park you identified on the waterfront used to be called Pillette Park as it is located at the end of Pillette Road where it intersects with Riverside Drive. The name was changed a few years ago to Coventry Gardens. Jackson Park is no where near water...but is spectacular (WW2 planes, fountains, rose gardens, play area for kids, etc.)...Hope you had fun...so many other sights, etc. for the family that were not included....
I thought this might be kind of a boring video but you did a nice job. I've only passed through Windsor a couple of times crossing the border but never spent any time there, it looks nice, hello from Toronto by the way.
Louis Cortez I cant because I don’t have my passport with me when I go to school there. I have a passport but my parents just don’t want me driving in Detroit alone
Yeah pretty much everyone in Windsor with a passport goes to Detroit and the metro area for shopping, concerts, etc and people from Michigan tend to come to Windsor to gamble either at Caesars or at bingo halls because their winnings aren't taxed here, or they come over for concerts or shopping when the Canadian dollar is lower which it is now.
Hi people from Windsor I love your town because it has border with USA which is important for me.I want to know more about job opportunities in Windsor? ??
@Jasveer Singh Bal If you do everything right and go to all the destinations around including Point Pelee, visiting Fort Malden in Amherstburg, Ojibway Park and Nature Centre, visiting the Art Gallery, going to the water park, visiting Willistead Park/manor/Walkerville in general (lots of nice houses and restaurants), Caesars, river cruise, visit all waterfront parks including the sculpture gardens, and maybe do something like taking the tour of Hiram Walker's you would need 2-3 days plus good weather since most everything around here is outdoors. Windsor is definitely more of a day or two out of like a week trip to the Detroit/Southeastern Michigan region than it is a destination in itself unless you really enjoy hiking and nature stuff then you could honestly probably do all the local parks and trails including Point Pelee probably over 3 or 4 days. Also Peche Island is now accessible via a shuttle boat operated by the city and there are some very nice trails and ruins on the island. That takes about an hour or 2 to go around, again if you take the time to stop and read the signs and what not.
im almost obsessed with windsor. Love from British Columbia

@@SN-Drone your absolutely correct, even in some of the most violent, run down places has historical landmarks. More travels to you and your family.

Do people from Windsor go to Detroit for a night out and visa versa?
All the time .Windsor is pretty much part of the Detroit metropolitan area
Neil Hope from Degrassi the tv series lived in Windsor Ontario, I wonder if he would have visited Detroit ?
Whats the night life like in both cities? Neil Hope from Degrassi used to live in Windsor, I bet he went over the border sometimes too
