I agree, South Windsor is a nice area. My parents moved back to Windsor from the GTA in 1992 and bought on Victoria Blvd in South Windsor. I love this street! My Dad still lives there at 84 and I love going back to visit him, as I love that area. As it's West of Dougall, the housing prices are quite a bit more
@@22chachalaca - People are moving down to Windsor because you can buy a 3-4 bedroom house (or any size house for that matter) for a fraction of what it'll cost you in Toronto and its surrounding areas. In Windsor you enjoy all the benefits of small city living while also being right next door to the second largest city in the American Midwest (Detroit). A quick drive across the river to the "Big D" gives Windsorites immediate access to major league sports games, rock concerts and professional Broadway theatre productions. Honestly the benefits of Windsor being a border city with Detroit cannot be overstated. And if you still wind up homesick for Toronto you can always drive back up there in 3h 40min for a weekend getaway.

My French ancestors lived in Tecumseh 150 years ago and many of them are planted there. LaSalle? I lived there when LaSalle was mostly open fields and lots of French folks.
There are no places that are unsafe to live in in Canada (except for anywhere there are bears). In Canada your safety is dependent on WHO YOU HANG OUT WITH instead of where you live.
It’s been changing lately. Downtown Toronto is not that safe anymore. Lots of crime in the subway system that seems to be random. So it doesn’t care if you hang out with the “wrong person.” You can just be there waiting for the next train and been assaulted. Sad.
Hi Ryan, excellent video and just the kind of content I was looking for to get to know about Windsor. Can you please make a video on where to buy investment property in Windsor from a rental and appreciation standpoint. What to look for and caveats. Thanks
Nice vid. I’m looking for places to move in Ontario and Windsor looks nice. I’d like to visit, but I live in Toronto Downtown and I don’t drive. How do I travel to Windsor from Toronto if I don’t drive?
If you could please make a video on part time jobs availability for international students, best (economical and nearby to uni of windsor) area for accommodation and all expenses.
Hi Ryan, Thanks for this insightful video. I'm originally from BC and I was thinking of buying a house in Windsor or LaSalle. But the only road block is the Windsor's property tax which is quite high. My question is if I buy a house the property tax will be based on the previous MPAC assessment or would it be based on the selling price? Thanks!

There is a small section of walkerville that is really nice (Monmouth, Argyle, Chilver Etc) … but Walkerville technically extends all the way to parent ave. Much of it is higher crime, houses with no front driveway (so you have to use the alley to get to your parking), and homes that are WAY to close to the neighbours.
