Wapol is not all that agile and weaker than Luffy so Foxy could pretty easily blast him with the beam over and over again and defeat him, unless Wapol can somehow eat the slow-beam and incorporate it into his body or some crazy out-there stuff.
You forgot Rob Lucci's most powerful Rokushiki technique: Subscribu, which when utilized allows him to receive One Piece content directly into his TH-cam feed.
I feel like both Rob Lucci and crocodile are both crazy under rated cause Luffy beat them pretty early in the series but I think the most under rated person is the grand line review. Quality content worthy of millions of views. ❤️
Good fight, though Crocodile's poison hook would probably have deserved at least a mention. Crocodile is one of the most underrated vilains in One Piece due to him appearing before gears, but he's the only person to have thouroughly defeated Luffy twice so far. Can't wait for his return in the New World to set things straight. Perhaps even against Lucci, since he doesn't sound like the kind to side with the Celestail Dragons !
@@KingUnKaged Was it twice he left Luffy in the dirt ? If so I'm sorry for the memory lapse, Maggy is very underrated as well indeed! Looking forward to seeing him back to!
Not sure why you would call him underrated. The overall consensus among fans indicate that he is very well appreciated. The biggest complaints have always (or at least in many years) been that Luffy shouldn't have been able to beat Croco Boy.
I disagree with this, you’re putting a post time-skip lucci against pre crocodile, I think this matchup should’ve waited till we’ve seen crocodile in the modern story, obviously he’ll have gotten way stronger and have mastery of at least the 2 common haki types.
Yep, also most of our discussion of Crocodile's power seems to forget how strong he was at Marineford pre-timeskip. Anyone who's fighting Admirals, WB Commanders and other Warlords clearly outclasses pre-timeskip Lucci.
Not necessarily, Lucci is younger and we know that he made a lot of recent progress before we met him in the story so probably kept making progress, Crocodile isn’t particularly a martial artist or young.. so he’s not the kind to do the same amount of progress
Renard Dubois Crocodiles whole goal is to conquer the world and be the strongest on the sea, there’s definitely more of goal for crocodile than lucci. In one piece age really doesn’t matter, brook has gotten way stronger than he was pre time skip and he’s like 90

I think that the subscribe button wins this one. Not only can you get daily one piece content uploaded to your TH-cam feed, But also daily hunterXhunter content uploaded straight into your TH-cam feed.
Have to strongly disagree on this one, for three reason: 1. Power: Crocodile has *devastating power*, being able to even one-shot Lucci if he manages to grab and drain water from him. Hell, he can do that even by landing a single Desert Spada! Power should be a tie, slightly favoring Crocodile. 2. Haki: Confronting pre-timeskip Crocodile with post-timeskip Lucci is completely unfair. This should also be a tie because we basically know nothing substantial about them post-timeskip. 3. Fighting Style: This is also a tie but slightly in favor of Crocodile, as several rokushiki techniques do nothing against Crocodile, including tekkai, rankyaku, rokyougan, and arguably even geppou (Crocodile can just sandstorm the whole place). With that, half of Lucci's greatest assets are gone. 4 (bonus) Crocodile has trained his devil fruit so much that he can instinctively transform into sand whenever he's about to get hit. Consequently only liquids (Luffy) and full body blows with haki (Jozu) are effective to damage him! Even another disadvantage for Lucci. In the end, it just boils down on how quickly Lucci could find out Crocodile's devil fruit weakness and how readily available are liquids around the fighting place (or blood, if he can get the same idea Luffy had). Without that knowledge, Lucci has absolutely zero chance to win one-on-one against Crocodile, even using haki.
TheDarkever fighting style should be lucci easily. Also rokushiki from lucci would work on croc because oda confirmed that lucci had haki pre timeskip. So he wouldnt need to find his weekness
Crocodile is criminally underrated imo. People often cling to the fact that he got beaten by pre gear/pre haki Luffy to say he's weak without considering he effortlessly beat Luffy twice before the third battle where Luffy discovered his weakness by pure luck. And to be fair he won the third as well, he was only knocked out while Luffy was dealt a fatal blow, and would've died if Robin didn't decide to give him the antidote. Crocodile was much more of a threat in Marineford, and that was after he was held down by sea stone cuffs for months. He went on to crash with several big names (Mihawk, Doflamingo), keep up with them long enough, even save Luffy from Akainu and then get away unscathed.
Oh come on you said so yourself. Crocodile is a victim of one piece being a long serie and being introduced pretty soon . The feat crocodile demonstrated at marinford dwarf what he was able to do at alabasta. - Speed: What are we talking about here ? Movement speed ? Reaction time ? Agility ? At marinford Crocodile was able to close the distance between him and Whitebeard quite easily and luffy had to use gear 2 just to keep up. Gear 2 movement speed should be equal to lucci while using his zoan fruit. Want to know what is crazy? Crocodile power is to turn into sand and create sand which mean that any kind of speed you see from him is his own unless you tell me having sand power impact your speed in a positive way. His reaction time is kind of blurry in the sense he got bump rushed by Joz but so was Kuzan sooo... Agility got nothing to say here. - Durability: Okay so Joz punch the ground excavated a big a** ice block throw it toward the marine and 3 to 4 giants say nope we can't destroy it. Luffy later one shot one of those giant with gear 3 giant rifle. Joz then bump rush Crocodile with his brillant punk and land an heavy hit and sent him away. Crocodile proceed to recover and prepare to use sable pesado which wouldn't do much damage to joz because diamond but would probably sent him away if doflamingo didn't step in. How is that him being ready to give up considering he was trying to take on Whitebeard the strongest man . Sure after that made crocodile bleed so was kuzan when Joz did it against him. - Haki: Crocodile should have it too. But let's say he doesn't what is the problem here . Haki is useful for sure not necessary as long as you aren't against another logia. - Power: In the speed section i told that any kind of speed you can see is from crocodile himself since that sand is his body just in a different form. Power is pretty much the same here. Being able to make his sand rotate so fast it become a tornado and compress it to turn it into a blade that cut even sakazuki in half. He stopped mihawk from going after luffy by stopping one of hiw strike, the same mihawk who previously cut an ice mountain in half. When doflamingo try to kick him after trying to cut his head off he simply stop it with his hook.
Dude cmon man I understand you like crocodile but we got to work with what were given and so far Lucci looks better than crocodile being written in to early or not it took luffy gear 2 to beat Lucci and no gear to take out crocodile writing problem or not we have to work with what we're given and showed
@@Iroh10800 That’s such a small minded way of looking at things... There were many more factors that came into play with Luffy defeating Crocodile. It’s clear that Crocodile was far above Luffy’s level at the time, while Luffy and Lucci were pretty equal. Crocodile was clashing with people like Doflamingo and Mihawk at Marineford. On top of that, he tanked a haki infused hit from Jozu and still got back up and continued fighting. One hit from Jozu would’ve put Lucci down.
I woulda given individual fighting style completely to Lucci, his complete mastery of the six powers outclasses Crocodiles method of fighting in my opinion
@@ratillecebrasquedubitantiu4451 He beat Croc using blood, not water. And that's still a mute point because Logia's are difficult to hurt without Haki.
I'd give the fruit to Lucci. Recall the Suna Suna no Miis weakness. Any liquid undoes the whole intangible thing, as demonstrated by Luffy. All Lucci needs to do is coat his claws in his own blood (tell me he wouldn't) and it would be over, faster than you can say "Soru".
Yeah you made that suggestion, tbh sir croc v rob isn't a sensible match up because we haven't seen any feats of rob/crocodile in the new world after the time skip and Jinbei v Rob will be a more logical and technical fight because of the tactics both combatants possess, Btw jinbei wins if the location is surrounded by water like enies lobby

Was this match up really fair? Basically all of Crocodiles stat were unknown or not updated post-time skip, so what was the point of this half-arsed battle?
That's pure especulation. It's not confirmed what an awakened logia does. Crocodile can change the environment by using specificaly his right arm, but Katakuri and Doflamingo don't have this limitation. And if his power to generate sand is an awakening, it would mean that his devil fruit is the only logia that can't generate anything. I personaly don't think it's the case.
Crocodile does generate sand independently, his Sables and Desert Spada techniques being great examples, but his drying powers aren’t actually sand based, they instead focus on dryness, a single aspect of sand, and project that on the environment. It seems at least plausible that that would be the Suna Suna no mi’s awakening.
@@leandrolamaison1934 crocodile shut down an entire country by turning it into a desert and stopping the rain. akoji and akainu, both turn an entire island into a fire and ice island. more than likely they all are awakened
These ideas probably won't any contest, but here's some of the following match ups I thought of in a few interesting hypothetical battles in One Piece as followed.... Always love these head to head videos. Hoping for a Crocodile appearance and additional Lucci appearance in the new world to hopefully spur on a rematch.
Jude Albert yeah a lot of people seem to misunderstand what it means to have the disposition of a king/conquerer. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a bossy/controlling person.
The thing is when it comes to conqueror's Haki it just depends on Oda whether he wants that character to have it or not there’s no specific roles to how you get it what we know so far is that you have to have strong will to get conqueror's haki but if that’s just the case a lot of characters would logically have it already like crocodile for example and all the straw hat crew would have it so it just depends on Oda and nothing more there’s no logical reasons to why a character doesn’t have it and why another character have it
He defeated Crocodile with the moisture of his blood. He pushed and pushed and didn't give up til Crocodile was done. I don't see how it was plot armor.
I wouldn’t say Crocodile was on the verge of giving up after Jozu hit him considering he was still able to blow Doflamingo away and didn’t look that bad aside from a head wound. He also did go on to clash with Mohawk after
I would argue that Rob Lucci’s Tekkai might actually work against him in this case. The CP9 agents only seemed to use Kami-e for dodging if their opponent broke through their Tekkai. Because his is so strong, he tends to block or absorb blows instead of dodging, which would leave him open to two of Crocodile’s deadliest attacks, his hook, which has very potent and acidic liquid poison in it that melts through rocks, and what is essentially an instant win condition attack, his drying hand, which drains all the liquid from a person in seconds.
How this fight would actually go: Crocodile turns everything around him to sand and covers Lucci in it and crushes him under sheer weight OR sucks all the liquid out of him OR suffocate him under sand OR Just make a bunch of those sand blades and slice him up
Facts: 1) Luffy defeated Crocodile early in the series, when the plan was for One Piece to be like 10 times shorter than it actually is. 2) At the time of their fight, haki was probably not even a concept. 3) At the time of their fight, the whole New World thing as we know it today was barely a concept kept in case the series continues with it's popularity and needs to be expanded to milk more money out of it. 4) Plot armor for the main character contributed a lot So few of us remember that Crocodile at one point said something like "I perfected the usage of my devil fruit power so much, that I can turn my body to sand before anything threatening can even touch it." Depending on how you want to understand this, it can actually mean that he HAS a certain level of "observation haki" at the time, since a normal human can not perceive such things as attack targets with total precision. We can understand this as an attribute of his haki, rather than an attribute of his "devil fruit mastery", but that is ONLY because we know what haki is today! Twenty years ago, when Crocodile was defeated, we had no clue. And it is perfectly fine! If haki was never introduced, we still had a very good explanation why he was able to do it - he mastered his devil fruit. When he was introduced, Crocodile seemed invincible. But, he was arrogant. He was annoyed by Luffy eventually, lost his cool and lost the battle. Now, do you all remember what happens with your "observation haki" when you lose your cool? Yes, exactly, you CAN'T use it as effectively anymore! This gives Luffy a chance to land blows on him, because he can not predict what part of his body to turn to sand on time, before the impact! Either that, or, the explanation we got in the series at the time, "Luffy's hands were wet." Well, even if they were wet, if Crocodile made his body turn to sand before the impact, it wouldn't mean much, right? My point here is, Oda and people working on One Piece are just genii! Understanding of this battle and how it happened can go multiple ways, depending on if the show is long-running (understanding of observation haki and haki in general) or short running (a little bit of plot armor that does indeed seem logical if you don't overthink it - the wet fists thing). Sorry for the long post, I just had nothing better to do on my after-work afternoon while slurping on my coffee xD Cheers everyone, all the best to you all!
This is Awesome. I like that you don’t down play characters by over hyping another or giving characters fake feats or one sided headcanon 😂. This was very informative. I agree with your assessment and the W.
I feel like this is a bit of a mismatch mostly cause we have post time skip info on lucci and nothing on croco boy. Also you forgot to mention croco's poison hook. I imagine lucci's zoan fruit might even make that even more of a liability against him. If post time skip croco boy has haki (Which let's be real he probably does, oda gives it out like party favors after the time skip) the match might actually go in his favor. As it is now though, we're kind of in the dark.
Actually, I think Crocodile is a confirmed Haki user. I distinctly remember Blackbeard talking to Crocodile during the Impel Down arc, and mentioning something about his Haki. Great vid for the rest though!
4:22 to be fair this isn't objective at all, there is nothing in the interaction to suggest crocodile was close to being taken out or was "saved" by doffy. He took the hit and was bleeding, that's it
I think crocodile has a use of armament at marineford jinbe was unable to clash with mihawk due to being overwhelmed by his haki. But crocodile was able to clash with him successfully. He may have held back because he was going against luffy, but its hard to say.
I would say Crocodile because of his feats in the war, where he clashed basically evenly with Doflamingo and Mihawk, the latter of whom he intercepted. He also landed a attack on the guard surrounding Ace without any marine intercepting it and snatched Luffy away from Akainu, basically at Marineford he was already fully retconned to be as strong as he reasonably should be, only bringing up his anti-feat against Jozu seems a little unfair. We also know that his ambition reawakened and he went to the New World so his post-timeskip increase should be significant.
Oda has said in a past sbs that one piece fights are a battle of wills. When Luffy fought crocodile, crocodiles will had already deteriorated, which is probably why he was so obsessed with the ancient weapon Pluton, another source of power that he craved to get back into the race of being pirate king. He had long lost his will to fight for supremacy with other powerhouses.
I do have to point out something that you missed. and that's Crocodiles Mastery of his fruit. He trained it's evasive factor to a level no other has, Reflex. We've seen him Dodge Doflamingo's surpise attack based on reflex of split second feeling on the back of his neck.
I would say that crocodile would win in terms of a pre timeskip battle solely because lucci cannot harm him, HOWEVER, if lucci were to figure out crocodiles weakness to water, I feel like his raw speed and power would over take crocodile
Love seeing someone put respect on Crocodile's name! I think he is often way underestimated and the next time he appears in the series he will be an absolute monster.
I agree with Lucci winning mainly due to being a post time skip haki user. But that is really all that matters. Remember that Crocodile logia defenses are so good that he can turn on sand by mere reflex if attacked. So pre timeskip Lucci without water would not even be able to touch him, rokushiki or not. Another thing to take into account is the instant win condition for Crocodile, with is dehydration by touch. The moment he hits Lucci with a Barchan he removes a limb from combat. (Of course if Lucci figures how the suna suna truly works it would be the other way around.) Crocodile's poisonous hook also deserves a mention here since one scratch can end the fight.(though it would be difficult to land a hit on Lucci). As long as trump cards are concerned, I see rokuougan saidairin being less effective (unless he could imbue it with haki) than ground death. Turning the environment into a desert if cornered would make him near invincible. Again, I agree that if we have not confirmation of haki usage in Crocodile, Lucci must win. But it is a lot trickier than some people say.
It seems like Oda's intention is to have Crocodile scale in power with the series considering that in Marineford we saw him getting involved with Akainu, Doflamingo and Mihawk at various points and coming out mostly alright. It's telling that Croc didn't get demoted to joke villain status like Gecko Moriah despite the fact that he technically lost to a much weaker Luffy under far more favourable circumstances, I'd expect that by the next time we see him hes considerably stronger and closer to the power level he was "supposed" to be when he was introduced, and probably a good bit more powerful than Lucci, at least as he was pre time skip.
There are plenty of factors at play here. First question is pre- or post-ts, which would elaborate on whether Lucci has Armament Haki in his arsenal. The next question would be, if Lucci knows that Crocodile's df is even weaker to water than any other known fruit. If so, he'd definitely use that to his advantage. Thing is, if we're talking about post-ts, we don't have anything to go by for Croc, so imo a fair comparison could only be made pre-TS, and that just hinges on whether Lucci knows how to deal with Croc in a similar fashion to how Luffy did it. If Lucci does, then he'd win the fight. If Lucci went in unprepared or not bleeding like a slaughter pig, he'd actually lose.
Haki is the expression of your willpower, the more ambition and determination you have the strongest haki you'll have. This is to say that we could consider Crocodile's haki to be "disappeared" during Alabasta arc because he was no longer following his dreams (to be the pirate king like luffy) but rather he let the world change himself into an evil villain. Thanks to luffy and during prison, he realized about this and came back to his old path... a reason for him to be able to use haki (again) post timeskip. At least this could be an explanation if we'll ever see Crocodile coming back and using haki. Like it'll probably be after Wano.
You forgot Crocodile's secret technique, Subscribles! Which allows him to dig up the GrandLineReview subscribe button and by clicking it Crocodile gets daily One Piece content right into his youtube feed.
There are a few things to take into consideration. If Crocodile managed to awaken his devil fruit it would be a game-changer. They might of both known Haki but were too arrogant to actually use it. Finally, it's also possible that Croc is just a weak Warlord that managed to get the title by happenstance as Buggy did.
People always say how Crocodile was reckless for not watching Luffy die, but I mean, the first time he basically made Luffy a donut and threw him in a sandpit he had no way of getting out of without Robin's help, and the second time he turned Luffy into a mummy after watching Luffy lose all the water he had. If the water coming down was off by even a foot, Luffy would have been completely defeated. Even during their final fight, without the antidote or medical help, even though Crocodile lost the fight, Luffy would have been in serious trouble.
This "carnivorous Zoan" bloodlust existed before Lucci displayed his leopard Devil Fruit powers; remember the hostage situation where a young Lucci was set to retrieve 500 people from a crew holding them for ransom... and killed everyone in the building under the (flimsy) excuse that if the hostages were dead, there would be no more leverage. If that doesn't play into the "victory at any cost" mindset of Akainu, I don't know what does. It's too bad Kuro faded into the background after the Syrup Village arc. He was considered one of the best tactical minds on non-Grand Line waters, rivaling Crocodile in terms of "playing the long game" with social manipulation.
I honestly think this match should get a rematch, don't get me wrong the info presented is extremely well thought out and I do think Lucci winning is the right call. But I do want to bring up the fact we don't know how crocodile has been scaled post-timeskip. If we do see him again I would like to see crocodile go up against Lucci again just to see how they would match up better
Because we don't have much post timeskip info on Croc I think a pre time skip would be more fitting. A battle which I think Crocodile would emerge victorious from.
I like the song change. It gets me pumped. If Crocodile had Armament Haki could he individually coat every grain of sand like Doffy could with String? Because that would make him far more terrifying.
Following logical conclusions I have to say that it's an unfair battle. Crocoboy as a rookie was in the New World and New World=Haki for a fighter and especially a captain. And the most impulsive reason. CROCODILE LITERALLY CUT MAGMA WITH SAND!!! I don't know how but damn he did.
I don’t think this matchup was done properly. I wish that Lucci could’ve been compared to Croc both pre-timeskip and post-timeskip. We don’t have much info to go on with Croc due to his departure from the spotlight a while ago, so we don’t know what sort of abilities/techniques he gained since Alabasta and Marineford. All in all, it seems like pre-timeskip, Croc would stomp Lucci so long as Lucci is unaware of Croc’s weakness to water, and post-timeskip Lucci would stomp on Croc with haki so long as Croc didn’t gain any significant leverage over Lucci’s power boost.
Crocodile would one shot Rob Lucci with his right hand dry as dust or poison hook him because Lucci don't have the antidote cure or a natural immunity, Luffy almost died 3 times to Crocodile and he had to sleep for 3 days. Luffy was close to death with Rob Lucci but still got up and stayed awake, and Luffy fought a lot more people at Enies Lobby too. But Luffy had to take a nap before the final battle against Crocodile. Also you never watched Film Gold One Piece movie, Rob Lucci had Armament Haki when fighting Sabo, you could tell their fists both clashed with Armament Haki, it was a easter egg hint
I think Crocodile's dehydration ability needs to be given more credit. Outside of someone like Luffy with his weird body, anything that he touches with his right hand is basically a 1 hit ko. And especially for someone who doesn't quite know the ability yet. Crocodile has literally been watered down just cause his defeat was so early.
that seems fair and i would think Lucci does win this battle, but you need to acknowledge crocodile's drying ability and his speed. Yes his speed; in Marineford he was able to attack WB and Luffy had to stop him with Gear Second, as opposed to the pre gear Luffy who defeated Crocodile in Alabasta. Crocodile was also fast enough to stop Mihawk, who we know was actually able to outspeed G2 Luffy, so his speed definetely got amped by A LOT. Enough to contest the speed of Lucci, since the later was comparable to Luffy's G2 speed.
Considering how rare is to have a Logia that alone could have made Crocodile a Warlord. And Haki mastery varies a lot, as most pirates dont have proper training, unlike Luffy and Zoro. This is show by Sanji that dident have a haki master but still developed armament haki and observation, his armament not being as extreme as Luffy and Zoro.
I think a lot of people understimate croco boy because he's an early villan, but he was just as succsesfull at taking over alabasta, as kaido is taking over wano Had luffy not been protected by plot armor, croco boy would have taken over the kingdom of sand (with people being happy about it, unlike dressrosa and wano) Croco boy is quite possibly, the smartest character in one piece (planning wise at least)
I do enjoy this series but it does seem a bit obvious on the winner from the matchups alone. Maybe try matching up characters by their perceived power levels rather than themes?
Just fun fact, 8 months later, Oda stated that he regrets showing Crocodile so early, because he is much stronger than he showed so far, and Luffy won only by plot armor. I hope he has some plans for this walking badassery
I always felt like Oda was saving Zoan Devil Fruits, but now that we have made it to Kaido who's Main crew members use Ancient Zoans. I'm kinda disappointed that we didn't get any more Zoan Villains.
I feel like calling individual fighting style a tie is a bit unfair. In terms of fighting Crocodile has two sure fire wins up his sleeve while Lucci has zero. If there was a canon fight between Lucci and Crocodile there is nothing that Lucci could throw at Crocodile to have him instantly win while Crocodile has both his poison claw and his ability to instantly dry out anything he touches. Also the durability one is a little hard to measure. You're right that Crocodile was ready to give up after getting hit by Jozu once, but we see that Jozu is strong enough to just take Mihawk's strongest slash like it's nothing and then out-powers giants. The other iffy thing here is if it is even Jozu who hit Crocodile. In the manga Jozu hits Croc and Doflamingo doesn't appear to save Croc but seems to imply that he is the one who hit Croc with the line, "That was pretty good Alligator-man. Was my little blood bath warm enough for you." Speed is awkward because it sort of depends on what you're talking about. If it's pure running speed then yeah Lucci takes it, but if it's useful combat speed Croc was faster to react and attack than literally everyone during the Marineford arc. I think just based on feats of strength Croc is probably stronger than Lucci. Lucci's had his own moments when he instantly beats Sai and Leo, but Croc has gone toe-to-toe with Doffy, Mihawk, and Akainu, granted Akainu was more trying to attack the thing behind Croc.

I feel like the new background music is a massive downgrade to the previous one
Agreed
Hold up which background musci are we talking about for both?
Have to strongly disagree on this one, for three reason:
HermitGeer if he did have it before time skip Luffy would of died
Fight style? Fuck no but personally i don't think this is even a close fight.. Croco boy easily win this for me...
@@isiahdebarros5416 pretty sure we saw luffy take a giant spiked kneecap to face from katakuri and not even a scar.
Caribou could beat the shit out crocodile his basically liquid
I think crocodile is one of the most underrated characters in one piece together with enel and magelan
The biggest problem with this is
The time difference between both characters appearences
Honestly croco should have been a later villian then he was
Yeah Oda has said that was a mistake and I can't help but agree

I feel like this entire battle could be summarized as is not knowing what’s going on with crocodile post timeskip
I woulda given individual fighting style completely to Lucci, his complete mastery of the six powers outclasses Crocodiles method of fighting in my opinion

Crocodile: can't touch this.
Lucci: Tekkai!
Crocodile: damn it.
I can only imagine Lucci getting fitted for a suit, stopping them before they put away their measuring tape and such, and saying, “Hattori, too.”
Grand Line review why not to make Rob Lucci vs. Jinbei the best rokushiki user versus the best Fishman karate user

Very exciting matchup! I did expect Lucci to win, he's a one man army essentially while Crocodile mostly relied on his devil fruit.
Thank you GrandLineReview! This was the match up I most wanted!
Was this match up really fair? Basically all of Crocodiles stat were unknown or not updated post-time skip, so what was the point of this half-arsed battle?
Finally, someone with a brain!
people forget that crocodile was the first awakened devil fruit user
Wapol vs Don Krieg
Alvida vs Boa Hancock
Mr.1 vs Baby 5
Black Beard vs Akainu
Nami vs Tashigi
Saw-Tooth Arlong vs Hardy Jones
Chef Zeff vs Dr. Kureha

Always love these head to head videos. Hoping for a Crocodile appearance and additional Lucci appearance in the new world to hopefully spur on a rematch.
Wish Crocodile would come back post-time skip. He’s such a cool villain.
All things considered, Crocodile was so controlling that id guess he would probably be able to use conquerors haki.
owen pk Being controlling doesn’t mean you have conquerors haki because if that were the case Nami would have it and Luffy wouldn’t.
owen pk tbh I would be a bit upset if he didn’t have it
Jude Albert yeah a lot of people seem to misunderstand what it means to have the disposition of a king/conquerer. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a bossy/controlling person.
The thing is when it comes to conqueror's Haki it just depends on Oda whether he wants that character to have it or not there’s no specific roles to how you get it what we know so far is that you have to have strong will to get conqueror's haki but if that’s just the case a lot of characters would logically have it already like crocodile for example and all the straw hat crew would have it so it just depends on Oda and nothing more there’s no logical reasons to why a character doesn’t have it and why another character have it
MHMD definitely I’m just saying Crocodile seems to be a fan favourite to get it, and usually the ones that do are fan favourites

I have a feeling (post-chapter 1056) we’re gonna have to revisit this one once we see both these beasts return to the new world in their new roles

How this fight would actually go: Crocodile turns everything around him to sand and covers Lucci in it and crushes him under sheer weight OR sucks all the liquid out of him OR suffocate him under sand OR Just make a bunch of those sand blades and slice him up
Facts:
1) Luffy defeated Crocodile early in the series, when the plan was for One Piece to be like 10 times shorter than it actually is.
2) At the time of their fight, haki was probably not even a concept.
3) At the time of their fight, the whole New World thing as we know it today was barely a concept kept in case the series continues with it's popularity and needs to be expanded to milk more money out of it.
4) Plot armor for the main character contributed a lot
So few of us remember that Crocodile at one point said something like "I perfected the usage of my devil fruit power so much, that I can turn my body to sand before anything threatening can even touch it." Depending on how you want to understand this, it can actually mean that he HAS a certain level of "observation haki" at the time, since a normal human can not perceive such things as attack targets with total precision.
Well this was very one sided in Lucci favour...
Congrats on nearly 200k
4:22 to be fair this isn't objective at all, there is nothing in the interaction to suggest crocodile was close to being taken out or was "saved" by doffy. He took the hit and was bleeding, that's it
Exactly he literally said “don’t interfere, do you want to die?” He was about to fight Jozu
@@DIOZaWarudoLord yea and jozu took him off guard of i remember well like aokiji.
Lucci wouldn't stand a chance in a skirmish with Mihawk, Doffy, or Akainu -- but Crocodile did 👀
I think crocodile has a use of armament at marineford jinbe was unable to clash with mihawk due to being overwhelmed by his haki. But crocodile was able to clash with him successfully. He may have held back because he was going against luffy, but its hard to say.
Simply totalling the number of areas wherein a character displays superiority isn't the best way of determining the victor.
This should be split into 2 videos, comparing the fighters before we saw Crocodile fight literally everyone at Marineford and after.
Croco boi will leave him high and dry 😂
But he has to touch Lucci first
Oda has said in a past sbs that one piece fights are a battle of wills. When Luffy fought crocodile, crocodiles will had already deteriorated, which is probably why he was so obsessed with the ancient weapon Pluton, another source of power that he craved to get back into the race of being pirate king. He had long lost his will to fight for supremacy with other powerhouses.
GLR: Rob Lucci would beat Crocodile in a duel
Me: LALALA! I CAN’T HEAR YOU! LALALA!
I do have to point out something that you missed. and that's Crocodiles Mastery of his fruit. He trained it's evasive factor to a level no other has, Reflex. We've seen him Dodge Doflamingo's surpise attack based on reflex of split second feeling on the back of his neck.
Correct! That should have been stated but I felt it didn't add to the idea of awakening.
@@GrandLineReview I have been acknowledged! Thank you. Huge fan of one Piece and love the videos you do on it.
Great vid! I agree with the outcome but pretty sure Croco boy will be stronger in the end of this master piece
Prime-time vs postime? If they were both pre-time skip crocodile would mop lucci. Unfortunately we dont know much about crocodile now
It seems like Oda's intention is to have Crocodile scale in power with the series considering that in Marineford we saw him getting involved with Akainu, Doflamingo and Mihawk at various points and coming out mostly alright.
I hope we do get to see them fight at some point. The only time we saw them meet was in the stampede movie.
Bro how like whenever crocodile gets matchuped with other characters, everyone is like he's trash even though he defeated luffy twice.
Cool video, do more of these please, I feel like pre time skip Crocodile would win, but post it would be Lucci, but that's just my opinion.
Crocodile: *The KING Of Making Plans*
Luffy: Jokes On You, I'm The KING Of Destroying Plans-! >:)
Crocodile reminds me of an italian mafia boss
I honestly think this match should get a rematch, don't get me wrong the info presented is extremely well thought out and I do think Lucci winning is the right call.
But I do want to bring up the fact we don't know how crocodile has been scaled post-timeskip. If we do see him again I would like to see crocodile go up against Lucci again just to see how they would match up better
I think Crocodile does use Haki, armament Haki we have the most evidence.
I mean, he deflected a slash from Mihawk with his hook. Mihawks sword!
I think crocodile wins for a pretty simple reason, one hit with his right hand, and your done, it immediately dehydrated luffys arms
Lucci is fighting Crocodile for stealing his Stampede team position
Who won ?
A haki infused sandstorm would quite literally shred most people. can't wait for croc to show up again
Possible match up. Sabo v Luffy ? Fujitora v Big mom? Jinbei v Kuma? Pedro v kyros .
"Very rare matchup of Logia vs Zoan"
Screams in Marco vs Kizaru
I think a lot of people understimate croco boy because he's an early villan, but he was just as succsesfull at taking over alabasta, as kaido is taking over wano
Had luffy not been protected by plot armor, croco boy would have taken over the kingdom of sand (with people being happy about it, unlike dressrosa and wano)
Croco boy is quite possibly, the smartest character in one piece (planning wise at least)
wait if i remember correctly crocodile was fine after the jozu attack and stood up to continue the fight but then doffy interfered
I do enjoy this series but it does seem a bit obvious on the winner from the matchups alone. Maybe try matching up characters by their perceived power levels rather than themes?
Just about the physycal strength of Crocodile, he did block Mihawk's blow in Marineford. Now i Don´t know how bad Mihawk wanted do cut Luffy
Lucci vs. Crock.
Lucci was defeated by sea water because he fell for a trap laid by Crocy after having to deal with the entire Barque Works.
This man forgot, jozu did the same with aokiji an admiral...
Was my little blood bath warm enough for you."
Speed is awkward because it sort of depends on what you're talking about.
