Me too, I miss Sunday mornings when everyones radio was on, windows and doors open and the lovely sounds of sensible music melting the air. Gone,(and our grand babies are subjected to propaganda rubbish. )
When love songs were love songs and had real meaning. They both had fantastic voices and together they were unbeatable. Their sound was unique and memorable. It was a shame when they split to have solo carerrs as they were unbeatable together. So glad they got back together to tour and perform for their fans.
Righteous Brothers were constantly on radio, front and center, for at least 10 yrs. They also were mega stars in Las Vegas along with Elvis, Sinatra, Sammy Davis etc.
My oldest brother came in one day with their album and told me that they were the most outstanding singers he had ever heard. This was in the earliest 1960's. They had just hit the radio waves. Oh my word, I'm old!!!
Bill Medley is the deep baritone voice and Bobby Hatfield is the countertenor voice. These songs are about love whereas many song today seem to be about rejection. We need both to gain a sense of peace in our lives. This song is musically beautiful and their voices unmatched. Men who love their women and not ashamed to tell them. My favorite.
These guys hit the scene a year before I was born. But their music was still played, regularly, on the radio until my 20s. And yes. There are dozens of artists, groups, albums, and songs that will forever travel through time. As fresh and loved as the days they were released. The Righteous Brothers will always be toward the top of this list!
Hahaha, love it. My sister and I left a family reunion to go see them in the pouring rain at PineKnob (Clarkston, MI) they were just as good in person!!
BP, you need to react to Bill Medley, Jennifer Warnes, I've Had The Time Of My Life (Official Video). It is only one Righteous Brother, but it is an awesome song and the theme song for the movie Dirty Dancing.
Bill Medley, has a bass-baritone vocal range. Bobby Hatfield was a higher-register- tenor. His voice reached the register of a countertenor ( male singers who can sing in a similar range to female mezzo-sopranos) sing in falsetto or head voice more often than in their chest voice. They created a distinctive sound together.
The pioneers of the genre called "Blue Eyed Soul". Basically referring to them being "white guys" who could sing "Soul" music as well as any non-Caucasian singers. During that era (late 50s/early 60s), "Soul" music was primarily found in black singers. Much like Blues. Which, of course, was tapped into and changed enough to create rock and roll. From there, we got all versions of rock music. But all of it can trace its roots back to Blues music. Yes, even "Thrash Metal" can trace its roots back to Blues clubs. Let THAT sink in for a moment. As we all know NOW, music transcends skin colours and genres. At that time, segregation was still a thing.
We all grew up singing. Church. Church youth choir. Music and Choir in school. Little percussion instruments in kindergarten. Singing in the car on family trips. Family get togethers, this was entertainment. You got a chance to identify your talent if you had it
You know the three songs you’ve reacted to my parents had on cassette tape when I was little. It was probably on this album you have pulled up here. Even back in 1992 when I was 12 I appreciated the music coming from these guys. They just had that iconic sound. Im guessing that after Top Gun and Ghost came out their music gained more attention.
This is music from my life. As is often the case your reactions, in conjunction with today's audio technology, makes me realize that the Righteous Brothers are even better than I realized when they were current. Thanks ...again.
Oh wow!!! Thank you for reacting to this song. It's my favorite from the Righteous Brothers. Love your channel BP. Enjoyed following your journey in Thailand.
The Everly Brothers were huge in the 50`s , they were actual brothers, check out Wake up little Suzie, Bye bye love, Cathy's Clown, All I have to do is dream, Till I kissed her, are a few of their biggest hits.
So far, you've heard "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration" and "Unchained Melody." Now you need to listen to their crown jewel: "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'." Look for the video with the two of them in black and white silhouette at the beginning of the video. Trust me. It was their big breakout hit, and was later declared as the "Most Played Song on American Radio in the 20th century."
GREAT! reaction...FABULOUS song...hate to admit it but I clearly remember the Righteous Brothers and this song, I was 13? thereabout, yeah the 60's, blue eye'd soul, absolutely feeling it...would I go back and do it all over again if it were possible? Yeah I think so...
This song immediately makes you think of the person who makes your heart 💘 go pitty pat!! So glad younger people are helping keep this music alive. ❤❤❤❤❤
This song helped me break out of The Friend Zone. I sang it for my crush at an all-night skate back in '83. We dated for 3 years, until her family moved away. 30 years later we reconnected, but sadly she passed away soon after from breast cancer.
That cover was early morning outside Las Vegas, and according to Bill was very cold. This played on the radio for weeks and weeks. I thought Bobby was talking to me. Sigh 🥰
This song, and Lovin” Feeling, bpwere both written by the great song writing team of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, who write many hits, and continued to write for Bill Medley for many years (Brown Eyed Woman, Peace Brother Peace, etc.). I just love when Bill explodes with passion in this one. I have pre-ordered his new album, Straight From the Heart, which will be released on February 14, Bill is not just a legend, he’s a superhero. Loved your reaction.
Another duo to listen to is the Everly Brothers. They are really brothers and their voices blend perfectly. All I Have to do I’d Dream, Bye, Bye Love, Wake Up Susie, Cathy’s Clown.
They weren’t brothers they are called that, because when asked once how their name came about Bobby Hatfield quoted that after one performance an audience member shouted out to them “that was righteous brother”
This is my all time favorite Righteous Bros song - even above You've Lost that Loving Feeling. The heartbreak is just visceral in this one especially when Bobby does the spoken part. And of course the harmonies and that Wall of Sound just sweep right over you. I agree - it's just not there in todays music.
I didn't know about this song until the Oak Ridge Boys released a cover in the early 90's as part of the movie score for My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys (decent film, great soundtrack). Love both versions!
As someone who grew up on this music, the Righteous Brothers are directly responsible for a million plus births during their heyday
Righteous Brothers- Rock And Roll Heaven
I miss this kind of music.
It's still here
Me too, I miss Sunday mornings when everyones radio was on, windows and doors open and the lovely sounds of sensible music melting the air. Gone,(and our grand babies are subjected to propaganda rubbish. )
@juliehancock9788 your kids and grandkids are better off than you in every way, including intellectually
Agree 1ooo % 😊❤
what I do is listen to this kind music on like Pandora, and never listen to the radio. The only way to go.

Every woman wants to be loved like that! And no body delivers that message like Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield💘 👍 great reaction BP 👍
My oldest brother came in one day with their album and told me that they were the most outstanding singers he had ever heard. This was in the earliest 1960's. They had just hit the radio waves. Oh my word, I'm old!!!
Right there with ya😂
You're not old, you're a Classic just like the music. 🥰
Each time you dig into these old classics it brings back sweet memories.
This is one of favorites by the Righteous Brothers.❤
In these times, we need more love songs, for sure!!

Back in the day when music spoke and meant something. ❤
Lotsa babies were made listening to the music ❤❤❤
This is my favorite Righteous Brothers song. I love all of their music, but this one just hits.
Get Wifey in here quick Robert! They are truly Righteous indeed, listen to them all.
Unchained Melody gets all the flowers, but I actually think this one is so much better ❤
Hahaha, love it. My sister and I left a family reunion to go see them in the pouring rain at PineKnob (Clarkston, MI) they were just as good in person!!
Any girl would love to have their dreamboat say/sing those words to us.
They are wonderful for sure! We need more love music in our lives 🥰❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
This has always been my favorite song of theirs. What girl wouldn't want a man to feel that way about her?
I cry listening to these old songs from my childhood! No reason really, just so many nostalgic memories! Thanks & much love BP!
Back in 1976 I would have this playing all night long while I slept. Love love this.
bout time this one came up,,IMHO,,,it is one of the greatest songs ever
Wonderful, smooth voices. Beautiful song.
Rock And Roll Heaven is where the bumped into early disco. There music is love.
Fun fact-before Cher was famous she a back up singer on the Righteous Brothers song You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling
The Righteous Brothers were not brothers, but they were a musical duo that defined the term "blue-eyed soul" in the 1960s.
I also loved the song they sang dedicated to singers that died - Rock and Roll Heaven
BP, you need to react to Bill Medley, Jennifer Warnes, I've Had The Time Of My Life (Official Video). It is only one Righteous Brother, but it is an awesome song and the theme song for the movie Dirty Dancing.
What a great song! The perfect song for that iconic dancing scene.
I greatly appreciate and enjoy your reactions and commentary. Keep up the great work sharing great music.
If husbands would sincerely talk to their wives like this at times of trouble, there would be happy marriages.

Love this song and the righteous brothers
Great song. Those were the days and brought back lots of memories.
White Cliffs of Dover is another great Richeous Brothers song.
Beautiful music to this day ❤

I have to agree with your conclusion, wort their weight in gold.
This one brings me to tears. Miss my man...RIP Mikey.

This was written by the same husband and wife team that also wrote “You’ve lost that loving feeling “

This music will stand the test of time. Best music ever. 😁
💙💙💙💙💙 Try their song "Rock And Roll Heaven". Celebrates singers who have passed when the song was written in 1974.
This song Never gets "old." My favorite. As always, great reaction/review, thx for this!
The TALENT they had is phenomenal!!
There is a reason they were called The Dynamic Duo. Love their music. I grew up with this.
Smooth and sweet.
A pantydropper!
This is music from my life. As is often the case your reactions, in conjunction with today's audio technology, makes me realize that the Righteous Brothers are even better than I realized when they were current. Thanks ...again.
You can’t go wrong with these guys.
Oh wow!!! Thank you for reacting to this song. It's my favorite from the Righteous Brothers. Love your channel BP. Enjoyed following your journey in Thailand.
Two of the greatest talents ever in music history.
Interesting fact on this recording, Cher was one of the backup singers.
❤❤❤❤they are righteous! What a great qlbum
The Everly Brothers were huge in the 50`s , they were actual brothers, check out Wake up little Suzie, Bye bye love, Cathy's Clown, All I have to do is dream, Till I kissed her, are a few of their biggest hits.
They were not brothers 👍🏻🤩🏴
Oh you should of listen to them do this beautiful song live!
Haunting vocals but all in a good way, I can remember where I was the first time hearing this. That's a legacy. 😊
Happy birthday to your beautiful wife ! Great Reaction ( as always )
That bass voice belongs to the tall skinny one. They were considered "blue-eyed soul".

I really can't explain why, but you give me so much hope! I love your channel.
Check out You'll Never Walk Alone by Righteous Brothers on the Ed Sulluvan Show.
This song helped me break out of The Friend Zone. I sang it for my crush at an all-night skate back in '83. We dated for 3 years, until her family moved away. 30 years later we reconnected, but sadly she passed away soon after from breast cancer.
Those songs - we had them while I was in school .. slow danced with my boyfriend to these songs ❤
Thankful we had Bill & Bobby. RIP Bobby.
Seen them in early 90's. Awesome!
Great reaction...you just keep it real..❤
That cover was early morning outside Las Vegas, and according to Bill was very cold. This played on the radio for weeks and weeks. I thought Bobby was talking to me. Sigh 🥰
Absolutely brilliant song, I love it
I love alot of music.. i mainly a heavy metal fan.... but oh my days, these too. you cant help but love them.
Those voices blended so well! I don't believe something like that will ever happen again.
Any era the Righeous Brothers would be awesome and cool with the ladies 🏆
Saw them in concert twice and they sounded just as good in the live performances.
Love your appreciative face when you're diggin' the 🎶
You should see the video!
Brings tear to your eye, so darn good❤
You're reaction on this was "priceless".

Hear Bobby's version "Summertime " that will knock you off your chair.
Such a great song and reaction. You have to hear them do Ebb Tide. Probably, my favorite of theirs
The sound from the dashboards of a generation - meanwhile, in the back seats......
The tall man is none other than Mr.Bill Medley, the shorter one is Mr.Bobby Hadley sadly Bobby has passed away.❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂 Beautiful song
The Righteous Brothers were awesome. This song highlights (producer) Phil Spector's very distinctive "Wall of Sound." ❤❤❤
Bill Medey's song "I Had The Time Of My Life" was featured in Dirty Dancing!
They weren’t brothers they are called that, because when asked once how their name came about Bobby Hatfield quoted that after one performance an audience member shouted out to them “that was righteous brother”
That is slow hand love making music. 😊
My fav by them…..
the deep part "without you girl what good am I", is in the style of Elvis vocals ;)
Bro, you gotta check out the live version to really appreciate the talent of these 2 legends!
Check out the Brothers singing You'll Never Walk Alone!
Great reaction. I feel ya😮
that is the Wrecking Crew playing on this the drummers were Rick Lawson and steve Ferron
This was what we called "pantie dropping " music back in the day 😂❤
I didn't know about this song until the Oak Ridge Boys released a cover in the early 90's as part of the movie score for My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys (decent film, great soundtrack). Love both versions!
Great reaction, BP! This kind of music does not seem to exist today. At least, not that I have heard.
