How do you map the pads to serato sample? I have a mpd218 as well and have no idea what to do

is your mpd218 enabled? go to Options>midi settings> select mpd218 and check enable, if you cant find your mpd218 click on the "Scan midi devices".
and on your mpd218 the "PAD BANK" button make sure it is on A or B.

i have. and when i first got my controller i didnt have a problem i could use all 3 banks and all 16 pads. now i can only use 12 pads & my last bank only. any suggestions on a fix?

Which DAW do you use? try to reset it on there unplug it while you use it and plug it in. Good luck
