  • Solar power check, Plumbing leak, furnace, scooter hitch, water fill etc! This is long, and I promise to make these more to the point in the future!

I like the paint job and paint scheme, the coach really looks nice inside and out. I like your solar panel installation, really don't see them on the roof. This application is great for solar given solar's limitations, it is perfect for small applications like these to power the roof top a/c or power your fridge. It will be interesting to see how it works for you powering both the fridge and the a/c at the same time. Nice off the grid option when the sun is shining.

Gday Mate, looking good now cant wait to see the first trip video soon.
Amazed at the low draw on the A/C! what brand is it?
One thing I noticed is your upper and lower control arm bushes look pretty worn. I just did my lower ones WITHOUT removing the control arm.
Its pretty straight forward and makes a big difference on the handling when changed.
I will post a video once edited and share a link with you mate.
    All the best from Downunder

It is a dometic penguin II . 11k btu. I am posting the camping video in the next couple days, it was the second time we took it camping. The first was to a music fest, then I tweaked the coach after that. I would appreciate seeing the control arm bushing vid. Thanks!!

Eric, I had a couple questions for you. Watching you run ac off solar, I missed what solar panels are you running and what voltage and how many watts? Also then I like the interior rework. I’m wondering what you used for curtains. Mine currently has metal mini blinds which of course are horizontal and the window is vertical so opening the windows is a pain as I have to raise the blinds all the way to be able to open window. And the blinds are attached at the bottom (some are broke) and none of them have a crank to move the louvers

Hi, I use 2, 200 watt cigs thin film panels from Bouge RV. I am using a 230 AH lithium battery and 5000 watt inverter. I also use the Bouge RV charger/controller. The A/C is a dometic 11k btu penguin. Basically I am running the AC with the battery and inverter. The solar feeds electricity back in to the battery, the battery is discharging but at a much slower rate because of the solar going in. It will go several hours in the sun, usually I shut off the AC in the late afternoon to allow the solar panels to recharge the battery to keep the refrigerator running through the night. It gives you temporary relief in the middle of the day!
