Yeah, that's the huge issue I have with the boss, and people saying he's not a stat check but a puzzle baffle me. Guy has an unmoving patterns, 4 times the damage of any other boss, and winning all comes down to RNG and God's whim if you're not overgeared. Kinda reminds me of Yiazmat from FFXII, but without the ability to flee midfight to save your progress.

Yeah I only did Masakado, Shiva and True Lucifer on Hard NG but I was lucky for the first one. Demi-Fiend and Satan are fun fights, but you need to deal good damage too yeah. Honestly I see no shame in doing them on Safety if you just want the rewards. I didn't want to wait for people's guides on how to beat Satan to unlock Godborn.

For SMT V, I just want to beat bosses that don't require me configuring a lot of stuff for hours before the fight to have a chance to win. Samael almost felt like that too me but he's not a superboss though. Side note, I feel like Shiva doesn't belong to the superboss club. He's way too easy compared to them, lol.
Shiva was a superboss in the vanilla game, but since he's now outclassed by the other 4 entities, then yeah, he's just a level 96 boss. Honestly I don't like when you have to change builds to specific ones for single bosses like this. Changing you main offense move is one thing, but changing your entire build to cram in as much damage as possible to outpace a healing is just bad IMO. Like, I know I'm not supposed to beat Masakado at level 52 (lowest you can reach him without hacks), but jeez at least make it fun and not just "ok I'll just Freikugel ur mom nahobino". Honestly, if he could replace Freikugel by Yabusame Shot like Idk... TSUKUYOMI did, the fight would've been much more manageable.
Koshimizu became my favorite character of Vengeance, the way he sacrifices himself to save Tao or Yoko after fighting Tiamat (depending on your alignment) is beautiful, no words and no hesitation, he just wanted to change the world for the better and helped Nahobino even if he is dead

Yeah I never understood how she could feel like this, especially with the only place in the human world being the fake Tokyo. I feel the writing is all over the place when it comes to "universal stakes".
I honestly like how Lucifer is only mentioned in dialogue, to me he’s the kind of character who’s playing everyone from behind the scenes. Almost like a chess player and is similar to Nocturne. Maybe the game could’ve had more scenes and dialogue to further cement his mere existence but I still that’s he in the game.
Oh definitely, I like it. But I wish it was more like in Nocturne: you meet him several times through the story, but without knowing who he is, and he's cryptic as hell. Here, it feels rushed and slapped as if they've forgotten he existed until the end: "Oh right! We forgot Lucifer!" kinda feel.

Totally fitting, that's SMTV Vengeance in a nutshell, the Demi-Fiend part is kinda dissapointing for those who reaaaaally wanted to use him in Challenge VR Trainer to pretty much cheese them all (almost), Muu Shuwuu one fits perfectly as well, also the Koshimizu in both COV and COC, as in creation is like "who's that dude?" while in COV is like "dang, he gave our MC a much better look"... and speaking of Nahobino looks, Atlus SHOULD had made us have the option to change Nahobino's cosmetic to have the freedom of using the Tsukuyomi look or the Aogami look without having to be forced to play COV for Tsukuyomi's look (of course, that would require to complete COV at least once to be fair for everyone), also funny stuff about Chadstema (love spamming Great Lament or having to attempt to tank it when he's the boss battle).
I disagree with the "much better look", but it's a matter of taste, so I won't elaborate further. I do agree on the possibility of changing looks though, that's really lame for both to be story-locked. Chadstema knows how to make use of the PTS, compared to the kabooki guy.

There's many memes you can make The superboss you fight vs when the superboss is your ally.. bcoz goddamn, megido ark is an extremely shitty skill even though it looks dope as hell (it should have scaled between heavy to colossal, rather than weak to severe) (but it insta deletes you when you're against it(i had to add enduring soul to every single demon... Holy shit how many times i had to farm aogami type 0, thank god taito has such a banger ost that it helps big time) 3 drains is great, but nothing else? No wonder Demi fiend still has the best essence in the game for affinity coverage as his is straight up masakado magatama (so null everything)
Oh yeah I have stuff to make another slander video, but I'll wait. The superboss thing, it's like the complete opposite: Masakado is trash as an enemy but goated as an ally, then all others are great fights but stupidly weak with their uique builds (except DF, whose problem lies in the stat check: bro's less powerful than a fucking Slime at level 150.) Honestly the 10-base power is something I'll never understand for Megido Ark. Adversary is a good innate but too contextual. But yeah, Megido Ark is weak, especially since it only increase by 110 base power per enemy, making it incredibly shitty against bosses. As for Aogami Type-0: I learned that way too late too (because I farmed it a ton for my lowest level challenge) but there's a gathering spot behind the rock where Melchizedek resides for the Holy Ring quest that has Type-0 in the loot table (as well as Stamina Incenses.) Just go near it, save scum and loot it until you get what you want.
I like her a lot. I'm just sad she's still the least useful of the Panagia. I really like Tao as a whole, but in CoC she's such a nothing burger, and CoV has her being outshined by Yoko (doesn't mean Yoko is a better person, more like she's the center of attention.)

Also I wanna quickly elaborate on why Eisheth is kinda really mid imo: - While her Innate Skill is nice, it requires you to have Agrat in your active party aswell ( which isnt bad since Agrat is a great Demon ) to make to the most out of it. If Agrat bites it it's just an glorified Bloody Glee for only Eisheth. - The Fact that her only Affinities are for Phys and Status Effects Skills makes her suffer from crippling overspecialization. She is the only Quadistu who cant't buff or provide emergency healing and can't take advantage of elemental weaknesses. - Her Unique Skill requiring a Status Effect to be on the enemy makes it really hard to take advantage of , due to the Innate Resistence Bosses have against them, which adds to her crippling overspecialization - To add to the point of too much Competition. By the Point you can fuse her you can also recruit Fionn for free, who has a better Unique Skill, joins at a higher Level and has great Coverage. There is also a decent chance you've just kept Yoshitsune and or Cu Chullain. Esheth isn't a bad Demon per say but suffers from an awkward join time and lack of niche. ( Sorry for this Wall of Text for a Response )
Thanks! Yeah, I try to avoid the usual "hEhE sTReaMeR cAn'T pLaY tHe gAmE riGHt" kinda shit (Gogmagog gaming would be proud.) Nah you're fine, I'll reply to every bit here: - Agreed that you need Agrat for it to work well. Otherwise it's just a demon with an extra Critical slot (which is nice, but Masakado does it better with a possible +320% crit rate and +80% crit damage if all effects are active.) At least Qadistu Entropy is nice. - Yeah, her only saving grace would be to have Hell Thrust and Yabusame Shot, and that'd be it. To be fair, she's only really made to be paired with at least one other Qadistu (usually Lilith or Agrat) and even more useful when played with 2 others, which limits the team composition way too much (Lilith + Agrat + Eisheth = high crit possibility but then you need Naho as support. A nice thing would be to have a miracle that acts liek Race Transcendance and allow Young Man to take a pseudo-race from an essence to get more innate effects.) - What I don't understand with her unique skill is the overabusive heal it gives, like bruh... she can only get 1248 HP max with Bowl of Hygieia. Why would you need a skill that can heal you tens of thousands of HP? This is why her skill sucks and the battle against her sucks even more. - Gogmagog, if you use Crit Aura Baki and weakness galore, is much better than Eisheth, and he's at a lower level and way easier to recruit. So many good Physical demons: Girimekhala is also level 66 and is much better thanks to his innate Repel Phys and his Innate skill being busted. TL;DR: not bad, but could've been much better. Still the least useful of the 4 Qadistu by far.

You seem rather knowledgeable on Megaten and it would be nice to hear/read your thoughts on certain things, even outside of megaten.
@@secondmemelord8859 I've kinda done that with Muu Shuwuu, and I could if some are actually cracked af like her Vinyl Bomb (only on Hard tho, Normal and Casual have okay damage but Safety is piss for it.) All i'd say is that if I could mod (mainly time and money to buy the PC version), i'd show her and Lilith some love because they're not that good compared to Naamah and especially Agrat. Yeah, not comfortable to talk but it's mainly the lack of privacy and setup that make me write instead. I'm not the most knowledgeable: I've only really played Nocturne and Vengeance (because they're the only ones on Sony consoles I guess) and Persona rebukes me thanks to being overexposed to it. (Also did Soul Hackers 2 but that one doesn't count.) Outside of MegaTen, I play lots of RPGs, and also make RPGs (although mostly just designing because I can't art for the life of me, but I digress.) I love breaking games' code and see how they're made, so you can utilize them to your advantage.
I'm tired of all this Eisheth slander. First of all, she's the only Strength-based Qaditsu, which is cool because I'm running Magic-based Nahobino and Panagia Tao (who's also incredibly underrated) and Cleopatra. First, Eisheth's Voracious Salvation attack hits harder than any other skill in Vengeance if the enemy has an ailment. She also has the passives any physical DPS needs: Murderous Glee, Phys Pleroma, and Critical Zealot, Eisheth gets them all innately or on level-up. Her Innate Skill boosts her (and her Qaditsu buddies) Crit Chance even further. If you're running a Magic-based or Support-based Nahobino and need a physical DPS, you can't get much better than Eisheth. Also she's cuter than Agrat

Yes. While they're level 150 everywhere and drop the same amount of Macca, you still want to attack them in the Taito region for the dropped items. The Fenrir hill is probably the best spot with over 10 condensed encounters.

On a serious note: back when I was doing low-level solo runs on Safety in the original game (and doing things like scouting boss/abscess demon HP with Life Drain), I found it odd that the Lucifer fight is the exact same between the Law and Chaos endings. And now this appears to be exemplified, with you-know-who being the final boss of both new routes as well. An idea I had as a result was this: what if siding with Chaos made Lucifer face you in a weaker version of his extremely powerful form's 2nd phase (same appearance, affinities, and moves, but balanced on par with his normal form), whereas Law would still be his normal form? (Or would it make more sense if it was the other way around? I've never paid much attention to the story, but I might now that I HAVE -FURY- VENGEANCE!) I recently expanded on that idea regarding Canon of Vengeance: what if New Law and New Chaos also used the above idea for determining Lucifer's default form by ending choice, but made both of them harder? Keep in mind that the overall difficulty of these forms still wouldn't compare to his extremely powerful form as a whole; the difficulty and phase progression of his extremely powerful form would be unchanged by ending choice.
Honestly? You're right. That could've been really good to do. Light Matter for Law, Dark Matter for Chaos, none for Neutral, and both for True Neutral. But hey, you're asking too much from the team who made Masakado.

Honestly, if I had time, patience and drive to mod, I'd do much more than just add Dark Matter Lucifer: I'd rebalance Godborn completely to make it challenging. Probably even rebalancing Hard for it to be actually hard and not a huge impediment (less accuracy and damage especially is something really forced and artificial IMO.) So many things can be made to improve the game to near-perfection, but it's still a lot of work.

I'd give my two cents, but i'd only do it to the right people (when I see people getting pissed at me no matter what video I post, I'm kinda iffy speaking up because it's a bother having to explain the obvious to haters, and game design is sadly no different since it's its own kind of debate, but I digress.)
Basically, if you exploit his weaknesses, he'll heal, and if you Null/Repel/Drain his attacks, he'll start an Almighty spam. TL;DR you have to Resist All and only use Almighty skills to be safe, which means he does his 5-7 actions and you can do 8 only if you get in the game's good grace and crit Murakumo/Freikugel or whatever move you wanna use.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I was wondering why people were using almighty skills against him. I beat his normal form using reflect/taunt/guard tank, and multi-hit+dance damage. I just out-damaged the healing. Even in the level 99 form I consistently got to the end where my strat just fell apart because he would target to a different demon and then they are low enough so that they get killed my recalcitrant execution or something. even then I prefer that to conditions like "amount of buffs/debuffs" because it feels like im walking on eggshells especially when getting debuffed on 1 single party member and then I either have to live with them being having -1 compared to the rest of the party for the whole fight, or bite the bullet and get dekaja'd to balance everyone out. and its even more annoying when you have a dedicated healer but they only have enough space for the heal+luster candy skill.
That's the thing: the game series teaches you throughout to use debuffs and take weaknesses and resistances to your advantage, but in this fight, it just flips over and go on an Almighty spam. Really feels like that one kid when playing tag and's like "NO! I'M ON THE LEDGE! I'M INVINCIBLE! BLEH!" The fight would've been manageable if he only had a 50% damage increase, instead of 300% (4 times.)

I honestly like how Lucifer is only mentioned in dialogue, to me he’s the kind of character who’s playing everyone from behind the scenes. Almost like a chess player and is similar to Nocturne. Maybe the game could’ve had more scenes and dialogue to further cement his mere existence but I still that’s he in the game.
Oh definitely, I like it. But I wish it was more like in Nocturne: you meet him several times through the story, but without knowing who he is, and he's cryptic as hell. Here, it feels rushed and slapped as if they've forgotten he existed until the end: "Oh right! We forgot Lucifer!" kinda feel.

Yeah that's a huge part of why this fight is shit. Also, if you Drain, he'll use Freikugel instead, so that sucks too, since it means you can't make him lose his turns or he'll lose his shit in return.

But he took me like three attempts going blind. Way easier than the Demifiend and Satan.

Totally fitting, that's SMTV Vengeance in a nutshell, the Demi-Fiend part is kinda dissapointing for those who reaaaaally wanted to use him in Challenge VR Trainer to pretty much cheese them all (almost), Muu Shuwuu one fits perfectly as well, also the Koshimizu in both COV and COC, as in creation is like "who's that dude?" while in COV is like "dang, he gave our MC a much better look"... and speaking of Nahobino looks, Atlus SHOULD had made us have the option to change Nahobino's cosmetic to have the freedom of using the Tsukuyomi look or the Aogami look without having to be forced to play COV for Tsukuyomi's look (of course, that would require to complete COV at least once to be fair for everyone), also funny stuff about Chadstema (love spamming Great Lament or having to attempt to tank it when he's the boss battle).
I disagree with the "much better look", but it's a matter of taste, so I won't elaborate further. I do agree on the possibility of changing looks though, that's really lame for both to be story-locked.
Chadstema knows how to make use of the PTS, compared to the kabooki guy.

In my defence for the first one, I could've sworn when it was announced in the same breath as the Nocturne Remaster they said it would be coming to Playstation 4. I have since come to reluctantly accept that I had a hype-induced delusion and it wasn't real, but sometimes I wonder.
Oh yeah, definitely the same. I was on copium for one year and even considered buying a Switch last year, then the announcement came out and I jumped like a hyperactive kid on a sugar rush. I'm so glad we got the better version.

When you see what tech (cheesy or not) is possible, it's wild af. Like, I managed to OTK a boss with 500k+ HP on Hard jsut because of some of these crazy mechanics.

bcoz goddamn, megido ark is an extremely shitty skill even though it looks dope as hell (it should have scaled between heavy to colossal, rather than weak to severe) (but it insta deletes you when you're against it(i had to add enduring soul to every single demon... Holy shit how many times i had to farm aogami type 0, thank god taito has such a banger ost that it helps big time)
3 drains is great, but nothing else? No wonder Demi fiend still has the best essence in the game for affinity coverage as his is straight up masakado magatama (so null everything)

The superboss thing, it's like the complete opposite: Masakado is trash as an enemy but goated as an ally, then all others are great fights but stupidly weak with their uique builds (except DF, whose problem lies in the stat check: bro's less powerful than a fucking Slime at level 150.)
Honestly the 10-base power is something I'll never understand for Megido Ark. Adversary is a good innate but too contextual. But yeah, Megido Ark is weak, especially since it only increase by 110 base power per enemy, making it incredibly shitty against bosses.
As for Aogami Type-0: I learned that way too late too (because I farmed it a ton for my lowest level challenge) but there's a gathering spot behind the rock where Melchizedek resides for the Holy Ring quest that has Type-0 in the loot table (as well as Stamina Incenses.) Just go near it, save scum and loot it until you get what you want.
What about the Tao (Goddess form) enjoyers?
I like her a lot. I'm just sad she's still the least useful of the Panagia. I really like Tao as a whole, but in CoC she's such a nothing burger, and CoV has her being outshined by Yoko (doesn't mean Yoko is a better person, more like she's the center of attention.)

Also glad that I am not alone in disliking Eisheth ( both in terms of design and gameplay ). Eisheth is probably the worst of the Quadistu since she has too much competition with other better physicial oriented Demons.
The one with the Power Squad could've been replaced with "Arahabaki Strats" lol.
I tried avoiding easy pickings like "Gogmagog gaming" though, but it was tempting.
Many people dislike Eisheth. Personally, I'm neutral towards her, as I agree with all your points.

Also I wanna quickly elaborate on why Eisheth is kinda really mid imo:
- While her Innate Skill is nice, it requires you to have Agrat in your active party aswell ( which isnt bad since Agrat is a great Demon ) to make to the most out of it. If Agrat bites it it's just an glorified Bloody Glee for only Eisheth.
- The Fact that her only Affinities are for Phys and Status Effects Skills makes her suffer from crippling overspecialization. She is the only Quadistu who cant't buff or provide emergency healing and can't take advantage of elemental weaknesses.
- Her Unique Skill requiring a Status Effect to be on the enemy makes it really hard to take advantage of , due to the Innate Resistence Bosses have against them, which adds to her crippling overspecialization
- To add to the point of too much Competition. By the Point you can fuse her you can also recruit Fionn for free, who has a better Unique Skill, joins at a higher Level and has great Coverage. There is also a decent chance you've just kept Yoshitsune and or Cu Chullain.
Esheth isn't a bad Demon per say but suffers from an awkward join time and lack of niche.

Nah you're fine, I'll reply to every bit here:
- Agreed that you need Agrat for it to work well. Otherwise it's just a demon with an extra Critical slot (which is nice, but Masakado does it better with a possible +320% crit rate and +80% crit damage if all effects are active.) At least Qadistu Entropy is nice.
- Yeah, her only saving grace would be to have Hell Thrust and Yabusame Shot, and that'd be it. To be fair, she's only really made to be paired with at least one other Qadistu (usually Lilith or Agrat) and even more useful when played with 2 others, which limits the team composition way too much (Lilith + Agrat + Eisheth = high crit possibility but then you need Naho as support. A nice thing would be to have a miracle that acts liek Race Transcendance and allow Young Man to take a pseudo-race from an essence to get more innate effects.)
- What I don't understand with her unique skill is the overabusive heal it gives, like bruh... she can only get 1248 HP max with Bowl of Hygieia. Why would you need a skill that can heal you tens of thousands of HP? This is why her skill sucks and the battle against her sucks even more.
- Gogmagog, if you use Crit Aura Baki and weakness galore, is much better than Eisheth, and he's at a lower level and way easier to recruit. So many good Physical demons: Girimekhala is also level 66 and is much better thanks to his innate Repel Phys and his Innate skill being busted.
TL;DR: not bad, but could've been much better. Still the least useful of the 4 Qadistu by far.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I don´t know if it would be your cup of tea but maybe you could do a video on demons and or skills that aren´t useless but suffer from other factors ( like awkward availability or requiring too much set up to be useful in a normal playthrough. You could just use text on screen or text to speech if you aren´t comfortable with using your actual voice. You seem rather knowledgeable on Megaten and it would be nice to hear/read your thoughts on certain things, even outside of megaten.
@@secondmemelord8859 I've kinda done that with Muu Shuwuu, and I could if some are actually cracked af like her Vinyl Bomb (only on Hard tho, Normal and Casual have okay damage but Safety is piss for it.) All i'd say is that if I could mod (mainly time and money to buy the PC version), i'd show her and Lilith some love because they're not that good compared to Naamah and especially Agrat.

I'm not the most knowledgeable: I've only really played Nocturne and Vengeance (because they're the only ones on Sony consoles I guess) and Persona rebukes me thanks to being overexposed to it. (Also did Soul Hackers 2 but that one doesn't count.)
Outside of MegaTen, I play lots of RPGs, and also make RPGs (although mostly just designing because I can't art for the life of me, but I digress.) I love breaking games' code and see how they're made, so you can utilize them to your advantage.
I'm tired of all this Eisheth slander. First of all, she's the only Strength-based Qaditsu, which is cool because I'm running Magic-based Nahobino and Panagia Tao (who's also incredibly underrated) and Cleopatra. First, Eisheth's Voracious Salvation attack hits harder than any other skill in Vengeance if the enemy has an ailment. She also has the passives any physical DPS needs: Murderous Glee, Phys Pleroma, and Critical Zealot, Eisheth gets them all innately or on level-up. Her Innate Skill boosts her (and her Qaditsu buddies) Crit Chance even further. If you're running a Magic-based or Support-based Nahobino and need a physical DPS, you can't get much better than Eisheth.
Also she's cuter than Agrat
It's called "slander" for a reason. Eisheth is very good (so is Tao btw, I just wish her unique skill didn't cost half her MP bar) and objectively one of the better demons. I just don't like her because of her boss fight, that's literally it, but factually she's good. Happy?

Nah, the fight is okay, but in my low level challenge, I only had 2 Dampeners and 1 Attack Mirror, so I had to tank her hits with a level 15 Nozuchi lol.
Honestly, Eisheth should be given more love (especially with mods to make her abilities actually good.)
Also my fav Qadistu isn't Agrat, but Naamah (for obvious reasons, but I'll say that I tried to be as objective as possible in the slander, because we all have our own tastes. I do admit the Eisheth enjoyers bit was kind of a low hanging fruit tho.)

Yes. While they're level 150 everywhere and drop the same amount of Macca, you still want to attack them in the Taito region for the dropped items. The Fenrir hill is probably the best spot with over 10 condensed encounters.

I audibly groaned after fighting a pretty tough boss fight (and then mastema) only for this guy to show up trying to be relevant. We get it you transcended already.
On a serious note: back when I was doing low-level solo runs on Safety in the original game (and doing things like scouting boss/abscess demon HP with Life Drain), I found it odd that the Lucifer fight is the exact same between the Law and Chaos endings. And now this appears to be exemplified, with you-know-who being the final boss of both new routes as well.
An idea I had as a result was this: what if siding with Chaos made Lucifer face you in a weaker version of his extremely powerful form's 2nd phase (same appearance, affinities, and moves, but balanced on par with his normal form), whereas Law would still be his normal form? (Or would it make more sense if it was the other way around? I've never paid much attention to the story, but I might now that I HAVE -FURY- VENGEANCE!)
I recently expanded on that idea regarding Canon of Vengeance: what if New Law and New Chaos also used the above idea for determining Lucifer's default form by ending choice, but made both of them harder? Keep in mind that the overall difficulty of these forms still wouldn't compare to his extremely powerful form as a whole; the difficulty and phase progression of his extremely powerful form would be unchanged by ending choice.
Honestly? You're right. That could've been really good to do. Light Matter for Law, Dark Matter for Chaos, none for Neutral, and both for True Neutral. But hey, you're asking too much from the team who made Masakado.

Honestly, if I had time, patience and drive to mod, I'd do much more than just add Dark Matter Lucifer: I'd rebalance Godborn completely to make it challenging. Probably even rebalancing Hard for it to be actually hard and not a huge impediment (less accuracy and damage especially is something really forced and artificial IMO.) So many things can be made to improve the game to near-perfection, but it's still a lot of work.

how does masakado go against the press turn system?
Basically, if you exploit his weaknesses, he'll heal, and if you Null/Repel/Drain his attacks, he'll start an Almighty spam. TL;DR you have to Resist All and only use Almighty skills to be safe, which means he does his 5-7 actions and you can do 8 only if you get in the game's good grace and crit Murakumo/Freikugel or whatever move you wanna use.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I was wondering why people were using almighty skills against him. I beat his normal form using reflect/taunt/guard tank, and multi-hit+dance damage. I just out-damaged the healing. Even in the level 99 form I consistently got to the end where my strat just fell apart because he would target to a different demon and then they are low enough so that they get killed my recalcitrant execution or something.
even then I prefer that to conditions like "amount of buffs/debuffs" because it feels like im walking on eggshells especially when getting debuffed on 1 single party member and then I either have to live with them being having -1 compared to the rest of the party for the whole fight, or bite the bullet and get dekaja'd to balance everyone out. and its even more annoying when you have a dedicated healer but they only have enough space for the heal+luster candy skill.
That's the thing: the game series teaches you throughout to use debuffs and take weaknesses and resistances to your advantage, but in this fight, it just flips over and go on an Almighty spam. Really feels like that one kid when playing tag and's like "NO! I'M ON THE LEDGE! I'M INVINCIBLE! BLEH!"
The fight would've been manageable if he only had a 50% damage increase, instead of 300% (4 times.)
