I started w a ground tent thst sucked 3 tims in the deert, then purchased a tiny motorcycle trailer, which is great and super comfy, but not stealthy & cant go everywhere. Now I am using a Scipio awning, yet that can still add complications. Looking forward to getting myself an interior like this

I'll be in living in a small apartment and I'm not sure what I'd do with the seats! .......unless I use them as my couch! LOL got some things to think about.
Had removed my passenger seat previously and ran a board all the way to the dashboard.... That was enough space.. but keeping the seat there... Mmm...maybe I'm too tall?
The way you have it , is great ...gives for a good stretch out. Am thinking of doing the same ... If you are 5'10 my build should work fine but will limit the stretch out.
@@RoamwithJeep I went the tent way for a bit because I thought it's a bit weird not having a passenger seat there... I'm 6' so it's a bit tight but I'll try with the seat bent and a board to bridge with my drawers at the back... At the very least it'll be an emergency way of sleeping 😂
@@AvengerIl ....yea it would be a bit tight at 6' ...if you added the extra side extension ( widens the bed platform ) you could sleep a bit diagonally and you would be ok....possibly? Lol
Cooking inside would be a challenge but you can only sleep one. We too have tried a few designs but sleeping length and height were always the problem. So we removed the top bolt from the pass seat pivot plate from each side and unhooked the sm wire cables so the seat now folds flat with a sm ratchet strap. It makes into a 6-4 bed on a 13" high storage platform. We have adequate sleeping length, 25" of clearance beneath the sound bar and being full width can even sleep 2 with your heads at the back. The foot width is 30" so it's like a double v-berth on a boat. You could add slides for a pull out kitchen. 😁
Dude , Great question! The answer is yes ish. Although the top will not be able to go all the way down .. It goes down enough to drive it on the trails for sure. I'll make a vlog about that soon and I'll give you credit for the idea 🙌🏻🤠. Are you thinking of making this build?

@@RoamwithJeep our top wouldnt fold with a 12" high platform, 4" lower than yours. If you had a long enough removable lid it could work. The folding arms are too long.

What's funny is I did at one point use the rear seats as a couch in my apartment 😆 ..Can't wait to see your build 🙌🏻
@@RoamwithJeep unfortunately, I have learned from looking online that it is much easier to remove the seats from the 2 door than the 4 door.

are you able to put the soft top down with everything in there or no? obviously you wouldnt want to sleep like that but just for driving on the trail

@@pujabelgian ..yea it doesn't go all the way down . A hack I've done was tie the bars down so the wind didn't blow it upwards.
