One real frustrating one for me is when your signing up for something and choose to use the safe password generated by the phone but then when you go to log in the phone has no record of it even when searching in the passwords section! I looked for this previously and I always went to where I expected to find it logically: under settings and side bar. Alas, it was never there and I never once thought of looking under touch. I should have known better than to expect logic from Apple. Anyways thank you very much for the fix. I highly appreciate it.
One irritant that I can't seem to correct is when the phone randomly changes keyboard language from English to a second or third language keyboard that has been loaded onto the phone.
The thing that ANNOYS ME more than anything else on my iPhone 13 Pro is how easy all of the app icons start to shake. I have no idea what I’ve done to cause this each time. The second most annoying thing has to do with charging my phone while I use it. It toggles back and forth between charging and not charging, making a noise when it stops charging. It doesn’t matter what cable or outlet I use. Before assuming it’s a bad port, is there anything that you know about this problem? Thanks for your videos. That Live Photo thing from your last video like this really helped me a lot. Keep up the good work!
The charging thing could be that you’re not using a MFI cable. That use to happen to me a lot on my 12 pro max and now I have 14 pro max and anker MFI cable it does t happen at all now.
Learnt more today. I must admit, when I first got my iphone and after every major software release I used to go through every menu to see what was available. now I can’t be bothered too many options.
Thanks for sharing. I use that screen cleaner along with the orange cloth that came with it and it's probably the worst screen cleaner I have ever used always leaves hazing and streaks.

Some good reminders of features. For the autocorrect one I find it easier when typing an unfamiliar word it’s quicker to accept the spelling in the left hand side above the keyboard to ‘teach’ autocorrect how to spell place names etc. If shows in double quotes but if you accept it then the phone knows for next time.
By the time i can find what you are trying to change you are on the next subject. I know it is hard to teach and have everyone keep up but when I slow down your speed on TH-cam it sounds like listening to the back end of a whale. I still listen to all your podcasts but it takes me forever by pausing so much.

One Siri failure that really frustrates me, is that once an alarm is sounding, whether for Alarm or Timer, Siri is not interested. It will not stop the alarm. This can be really annoying because maybe my hands are covered in flour (baking), or in soil if I'm gardening, and I don't want to touch my watch or phone. It is illogical too, because I use Siri all the time to start my Timer or set an Alarm. But once the event has happened and the alarm is sounding, Siri will not stop it. You will be my Best Friend for ever if you can sort this one out! Thanks so much for all your teaching - it's simply invaluable. Lorimer

Very interesting video with smart tips and tricks. Congrats! The issue I cope with is that I no longer get any sound notification when a iMessage or SMS arrives and even Apple support can’t solve it. Another issue for my wife, is that the number of iMessages or SMS no longer displays on the icon. Maybe you can propose a solution? Anyway, you séries of vidéos are useful and I really recommend it to all users. Regards.

Not sure if you have covered this frustrating iPhone issue I am having, if you have please direct me to it. My volume keeps muting or at least going down low most times I use the phone. I do not press any volume buttons or pull down from the right corner to adjust it. When I do notice this issue I correct it by firstly the up volume button then pull down from the right corner to see the volume control. I prefer the volume at full volume. Is there a setting to stop this from happening please? Thanks for all the tips you seem to find and inform us about.
the most frustrating feature for me is having the camera activated way too easily on a locked screen. mine turns on when i place my phone on a hard surface a little aggressively or when it’s being knocked around in a large bag or even if i’m just holding lt sometimes. i saw that the only way to deactivate it disables the entire camera app so unless there’s a workaround to remove the app fom the lockscreen without disabling it entirely that will be great. my wallet also gets triggered when my phone is near active card readers which is also a pain.
Great high standard as usual. When using Airpods recently on iPhone and IPad I am unable to switch from transparency mode, to off, to noise cancellation mode using hey Siri. Tried all usual tricks but no fix. Is this a bug within IOS

Thanks for the tips. I still think the battery charging leaves a lot to be desired. Living in an earthquake prone area and possibly needing the phone at any hour only to have it low on charge after hours of being connected to the charger was scary when this first rolled out. I wish there was a setting that allowed for a nearly full charge and then really throttled it down.

The one frustrating issue for me is the way the apps are grouped in the settings list. Is it possible to list apps in, say, alphabetical order rather than whatever grouping format is used. When following a TH-camr, I sometimes find it difficult to locate the relevant app in real time, so I have to pause a video (or stop and go back). I'm sure that there's a reason why apps are grouped in the way they are, but I'm stuffed if I know why. End of gripe 😀

This stops be calling people via contacts as the phone system doesn’t recognise the numbers as a phone number. To correct this I have to turn my phone off and back on. Any ideas why this is happens. I have a problem with dictation. I cannot stop dictation by double tapping on the mic button instead I have to press the side button to stop dictation. Also I noticed in the Shortcuts app, the city voices that I have downloaded do not show up under the speak text action while creating an automation.
do you have any video about frustrating airpod 3 issues where if you dont use one side of the airpods for days and been fully charged in the case, that airpod can no longer be detected and therefore cant be used?
my beef is the do not disturb when driving feature. I don’t mind if my phone dings when I get an SMS when driving but it’s always silent. My phone has an auto or manual setting but this does not change the silence setting.

I get frustrated placing the cursor in the exact location to make a correction. I hold my finger where I want to edit and instant magnification distorts where I’m positioned in the word making it more difficult to land at the precise spot I want to edit. The magnified area positions the cursor in a separate spotlight located above the word and often obscures the very word In trying to edit. I don’t want this magnification feature.
Can you tell me if there is a way to keep my flashlight from coming on when it wants? I can lay my phone down on a counter, slide my phone, and the flashlight is on. And then when I try to place it in my handbag, it comes on again. It seems as if any small movement sets it off.
Camera and Torch on the Lock Screen. Is there a way to disable or remove from the Lock Screen. I find it annoying how you can accidentally turn either one on, then struggle to turn them off, why don’t they don’t automatically turn off after a certain period of time.

any tips for poor audio using Airpods v3 when making a phone call? - since16.1 or so… i can hear perfectly, but they can not hear me well, audio is very choppy for them - also, new connection to iPad has intermittent garbled audio (fixed toggle to iPad speakers)
@@lc61800 did you try disconnecting/reconnecting after 16.4? I did again with the HOPE 16.4 fixed this with a “new” pairing Settings > Bluetooth > (i) > Forget This Device
@@MarcesAurelius I tried that but could not really notice any difference. What seems to do the trick is to switch the microphone from “automatic”. to left only. Seems to work at least in my case.
Great video as always, thanks. But I didn’t understand how to prevent the iPhone from lightning up the room at night. I set up sleep mode but it still lights up when an E-Mail arrives, strange.
Go to Settings, then Focus, then Sleep. Under the Apps section, check that you don't have Mail showing in there (if you do, you've essentially granted Mail the permission to bypass Sleep mode). That's the only thing I can think of, as Sleep is essentially supposed to be a Do Not Disturb for night time.
_I have found an annoying issue or is it a bug?..._ Go to Settings > Camera > Formats > - Apple ProRAW & 48MP -- Take photo, insuring in RAW mode. - Review the photo in the Photo apps. - Tap on the Share symbol and upload to "Save to Files" - Go to "Save to Files" and try and view the photo! - It flashes on and off then disappears, leaving only the filename! - Is this normal? (as the photo seems to be in iCloud, not on the iPhone)
To me the most irritating issues of iPhone is the keep disconnecting of personal hotspot… Is there any way to fix it? And the second one is the NFC. It keeps failing to read my card.

Re Featured Photos, I’ve tried this on my iPhone XS and the only option I get is “see less of this person”. It doesn’t work with all photos either 🤷🏻♀️. Doesn’t seem to work on iPad Pro 11” either…
When I go into settings FaceTime it only displays 1 Toggle (enabled or disabled) It has nothing below it has described in this video. So I am unable to disable this feature if I choose to turn facetime on Phone 13.
I wish you could assign a specific keyboard language to a person. I’m always talking to people in English primary but also Spanish with some and I have to keep switching the keyboard
my sound has been such a pain lately, special ringtones not working or only notified sometimes for text. I have sound all the way up on all three places, the switch on side is not on silent. I just keep resetting phone, and it hasn't been notifying on my watch either. both all updated and restarted again.
I did an update yesterday and now have no sound on instagram stories 😡 iPad is fine but instagram displays weirdly on iPad not using the full screen so it’s really annoying. I haven’t seen anyone else with the problem so no idea what’s going on
I never thought of using text replacement for names that don't capitalize automatically. I no longer have to manually capitalize Mom, or add the apostrophe in Mom's, yay!

Have you got a Focus mode enabled, without realising it? Open Control Centre, and under Focus Modes, check that you've not got one switched on. It could be that.
Please have a 10s or even 5s advance and rewind on your screen instead of the arrows. I find it impossible to stop your instructions at the right point to record the steps (My memory is short). Sliding the red dot is annoyingly inaccurate.
Hi Phil - what you’re requesting is a TH-cam feature, and not something I can implement I’m afraid. I make the videos, I can’t change how TH-cam operates.
I replaced the default keyboard with Type Nine, because I can swear with it and I don't have to switch between languages. Also, Apple Pay rarely works for me, because I only have a Dutch bank card.
sadly there is still no option to hide this home bar at the bottom of the screen. People have been asking this since the physical button was removed, see apple forum, but apple just ignores it. Samsung has it for soo long already....
Yes, there are other annoying issues like iPhone deciding to stop sharing location with someone you’ve already set to share. Luckily, it warns you but why would it decide to do that on its own? The AI rebellion? Sometimes iOS devices don’t sync in iMessage or FaceTime doesn’t notify you of an incoming call, etc. There are probably no fixes for any of these but you might know if there are. Oh, here’s a good one- Find My App will zoom way in on someone in “live” mode, pulsating green circle around their avatar. If you zoom out, it reverts to fully zoomed in after a couple of seconds. Why have this annoying feature, Apple?
I had to switch Siri off on my iPhone 12 mini because it switched on voice over without me saying anything to it. I couldn't turn voice over off .. I had to send the phone for repair I was on iOS 16.3.1 at the time. £30 to repair .. I tried to reboot it, made it worse. I couldn't put my pass code in .. not recognised .. Wonder if anyone else had that bug.

Yes, in my case my phone is always silent when I drive, changing the manual/auto setting does not change this (I prefer the SMS dings when I drive)

You can set the on and off time for focus modes. I have "do not disturb" automatically set between 23:00 and 6:00. No need to do manually.

I get frustrated placing the cursor in the exact location to make a correction. I hold my finger where I want to edit and instant magnification distorts where I’m positioned in the word making it more difficult to land at the precise spot I want to edit. The magnified area positions the cursor in a separate spotlight located above the word and often obscures the very word In trying to edit. I don’t want this magnification feature.
Can you tell me if there is a way to keep my flashlight from coming on when it wants? I can lay my phone down on a counter, slide my phone, and the flashlight is on. And then when I try to place it in my handbag, it comes on again. It seems as if any small movement sets it off.

I find that in bright sunlight, the display dims down so much I can't see it. The brightness control is still up full. Is there a fix for this?

I find it annoying how you can accidentally turn either one on, then struggle to turn them off, why don’t they don’t automatically turn off after a certain period of time.
During the last update before this one today April 8, all of my favorites and anything I’ve looked for that day are now on my screen covering my a photo I had for my home page. When I hit the Safari button to search, these favorite apps, reading lists and iPad notes are all over my screen. I hate it! How do I fix this?

On my iPhone and others, I have noticed the alarms are erratic, irregular, in going off. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. Using Google, have found this is a known problem. Any thoughts?

any tips for poor audio using Airpods v3 when making a phone call?
- since16.1 or so… i can hear perfectly, but they can not hear me well, audio is very choppy for them
- also, new connection to iPad has intermittent garbled audio (fixed toggle to iPad speakers)
Same issue of people not hearing me during a phone call. Am on 16.5 beta.
@@lc61800 did you try disconnecting/reconnecting after 16.4? I did again with the HOPE 16.4 fixed this with a “new” pairing

@@MarcesAurelius I tried that but could not really notice any difference. What seems to do the trick is to switch the microphone from “automatic”. to left only. Seems to work at least in my case.
Great video as always, thanks. But I didn’t understand how to prevent the iPhone from lightning up the room at night. I set up sleep mode but it still lights up when an E-Mail arrives, strange.
Go to Settings, then Focus, then Sleep. Under the Apps section, check that you don't have Mail showing in there (if you do, you've essentially granted Mail the permission to bypass Sleep mode). That's the only thing I can think of, as Sleep is essentially supposed to be a Do Not Disturb for night time.

Go to Settings > Camera > Formats >
- Apple ProRAW & 48MP -- Take photo, insuring in RAW mode.
- Review the photo in the Photo apps.
- Tap on the Share symbol and upload to "Save to Files"
- Go to "Save to Files" and try and view the photo!
- It flashes on and off then disappears, leaving only the filename!
- Is this normal? (as the photo seems to be in iCloud, not on the iPhone)
To me the most irritating issues of iPhone is the keep disconnecting of personal hotspot… Is there any way to fix it? And the second one is the NFC. It keeps failing to read my card.

Re Featured Photos, I’ve tried this on my iPhone XS and the only option I get is “see less of this person”. It doesn’t work with all photos either 🤷🏻♀️. Doesn’t seem to work on iPad Pro 11” either…

When I go into settings FaceTime it only displays 1 Toggle (enabled or disabled) It has nothing below it has described in this video. So I am unable to disable this feature if I choose to turn facetime on Phone 13.

my sound has been such a pain lately, special ringtones not working or only notified sometimes for text. I have sound all the way up on all three places, the switch on side is not on silent. I just keep resetting phone, and it hasn't been notifying on my watch either. both all updated and restarted again.
I did an update yesterday and now have no sound on instagram stories 😡 iPad is fine but instagram displays weirdly on iPad not using the full screen so it’s really annoying. I haven’t seen anyone else with the problem so no idea what’s going on

For the first issue, just tap the word on the auto corrector and it saved it automatically. Don’t even need to set them up

Have you got a Focus mode enabled, without realising it? Open Control Centre, and under Focus Modes, check that you've not got one switched on. It could be that.

Yes! Or you turn the volume up to hear someone on a call, and the next alarm blows you out of the room it’s so loud.
Please have a 10s or even 5s advance and rewind on your screen instead of the arrows. I find it impossible to stop your instructions at the right point to record the steps (My memory is short). Sliding the red dot is annoyingly inaccurate.

I replaced the default keyboard with Type Nine, because I can swear with it and I don't have to switch between languages.

Yes, there are other annoying issues like iPhone deciding to stop sharing location with someone you’ve already set to share. Luckily, it warns you but why would it decide to do that on its own? The AI rebellion? Sometimes iOS devices don’t sync in iMessage or FaceTime doesn’t notify you of an incoming call, etc. There are probably no fixes for any of these but you might know if there are.
Oh, here’s a good one- Find My App will zoom way in on someone in “live” mode, pulsating green circle around their avatar. If you zoom out, it reverts to fully zoomed in after a couple of seconds. Why have this annoying feature, Apple?

I had to switch Siri off on my iPhone 12 mini because it switched on voice over without me saying anything to it. I couldn't turn voice over off .. I had to send the phone for repair I was on iOS 16.3.1 at the time. £30 to repair .. I tried to reboot it, made it worse. I couldn't put my pass code in .. not recognised .. Wonder if anyone else had that bug.
