I was only at La Brea tar pits once about 1944 but it was enough to really scare 5 year old me. The big mammoth head with tusks was sticking out and the place was bubbling away. As far as I can recall, the museum wasn't yet built. There was no fence around the big pool & no statues. I was very scared so my mom and I left. Now I would love to get back down there. These videos are wonderful. Thanks
I’m here because Trevor is amazing. The type of guy who harbors real passion for his work to were it’s too fun to be work. The weight of the spotlight is seemingly nothing to him.
I swear to god, make a talk show with Trevor doing a tour of everything and anything. It’ll make your channel fun. Try and do a version of Steve Irwin’s “adventure in Australia” or “stuff going on in his zoo”, but with Trevor here.
hey Trevor check this out I theorize that T Rex's arms were so short because they were clawed flightless wings instead of arms as were all of those types of dinosaurs
Very Cool... always wanted to be an Archeologist when I was little (among many other things) anyway, thanks for this upload, learned much and would love to go to that Museum, thanks mr.Trevor.
I'm actually going to a rock quarry I found to go fossil hunting. If I'm right I'm pretty close to a shallow edge of the western interior sea (missouri)
Wish you luck. Stratigraphically identifying sediments in Missouri is extremely difficult as you'll sometimes have isolated cretaceous outcrops surrounded by Ordivician sediment which leads to a lot of mis identification.
@@cyanideentertainment2066 not even trace fossils? Damn. I recommend maybe going to a local library or contacting someone with credentials for a detailed geologic map of the county.
@@Samstewbjj you can find cool fossils everywhere in the world. of course, la brea is quite a unique setting with an excess of information. But If you are really passionate about this and really want to make this your future, you can take any number courses that can in turn take you all around the world to find the hidden treasures the earths creatures have left behind.
The La Brea Tar Pits is a way cool place. I remember visiting when I was a child in the fifties. After that, there was no way some religious fool could tell me about seven days.
