WICKED TIGER!! Nice work Clayton. Love the selection and variety of weathering agents, powders, etc. that you use. I have two early production Tigers so a mid-production would be a nice addition. A very WICKED TIGER indeed. Take care mate!
Great tips. I’ve used steel Rod before. Just wanted to use the kit supplied parts to showcase the model here. Issue with guitar strings and steel Rod is they don’t taper. They are a constant thickness which is another reason why I used these parts. Really appreciate you suggestions 🙏💪
What a beautiful message to receive. So pleased you enjoyed it. Seems there’s a lot of people wanting a diorama! I have a few projects I need to tidy up…then I’ll see what I can do. Good luck 🐯🍺
Wicked Tiger Clayton! Have to admit that I was initially very dubious about that camo scheme but it’s come up a treat once the filters and weathering was applied. I rate oil dot filters and often use them to tone down WW1 lozenge fabric on German aircraft. I hope to see it at ScaleACT. 😊
Hey Craig. Doing these multipart videos can be a little confronting at times, but I guess it’s good for everyone to watch the journey taking it from more or less a toy to something that looks real(ish). And yes…oil filters work a treat don’t they?! Looking fwd to Canberra already. Good luck 🤞 a thank you so much for your support 🙏🐯🤞
Very nice wicked Tiger. I've received my own Takom Mid but I've put it off for now cause I don't want to mess it up with a messy paintjob (no airbrush)... Gonna try experimenting with stippling/drybrushing camo onto a Tamiya Panther and a Tamiya Tiger Late before I even touch the Takom kit. I also need to invest in aftermarket tracks since my Tamiya Tiger indy tracks crumbled on me, haha.
Hey 👋 can be tricky trying to replicate German 3 tone schemes brush painting. I know some of the tigers were monotone…maybe you could look for one of those schemes. Thanks for taking the time to connect 🐯
@@workbenchhobbies4316 Asked a similar thing on Facebook and David Bryden said that many Mid Tigers initially came out with just Dunkelgelb and a white wash... Nevertheless, if I can get stippled/feathered camo that looks presentable and can be modified with oils, pigments, washes, etc...

Hi Clayton. This finished model really is a Wicked Tiger! I have really enjoyed watching this build series, and the explanations of your techniques throughout. I have learnt a lot by watching your build and weathering videos, and have adopted a few of your weathering methods with great success, so I thank you for that. Love the channel mate, so keep them coming. Cheers until the next project!

Well done on pushing on with the tiger after the base painting. The weathering is spot on and i agree with the storage on WICKED TIGERS, us modelers sometimes over do it with storage on our tanks.Hope you can do a diorama for the wicked tiger.
Hey 👋 thanks for joining in. Seems a few people are really keen for a vignette…so I’ll clear a few builds off the schedule and see what I can do 😬 Good luck 🤞 🐯
When it comes to sponge chipping my fist contact wit the model is a quick dab on the bottom to make sure I had taken enough paint out of the spoung. I do this every time I reload the sponge. Nothing worse than putting a blob of chipping paint on the model and having to start over. Have you ever concidered chipping the zimmerit coating with a slightly darkened color of Buff. As you know the coating was quite suseptible to chipping and cracking when hit by flying debris. Nice looking project it has got me rethinking my next tiger project.
Hey! Great tip with the sponge, and yes, this is something I generally do myself. Re the Zimmerit, I added my chipping effects to that in the painting video - not sure if you saw that one ? They just tended to tone down during the weathering so are probably not that obvious. Thanks for taking the time to join in the conversation 🙏
You did a great job with this video tutorial, Clayton. Very enjoyable, and informative. I found your weathering techniques to be interesting, and very helpful. Thank you, for all you do on your YT channel 👍😎 Cheers 🍻 ~ Rob at RB1S
A good video of your work and the way to this convincing result, Clayton. A cool Tiger I, especially with this improvised camouflage. Impressive! Best wishes and a good weekend. Joachim
You really went through this build in a layered approach. I also like to apply a step, recompose and apply the next step. This creates a moderate buildup of effects resulting in this case in a Wicked Tiger 🐅💥👍💥
Awesome, thank you! Weathering armour is all about the layering, so it sounds like you are nailing that! Great stuff. Thanks for taking the time to share. Good luck 🍀🐯✌🏼
As I've said elsewhere Clayton, another great video explaining what your doing, why you're doing it and how your doing it - nice and tight just like your Wicked Tiger! Hope you decide to show this beauty at the NSW show or ScaleACT, would be most excellent seeing it in person 😉😉
Great finish on one of the tuffest , factual schemes you can attempt for the "wicked tiger " 1 . Well done for plugging away and trusting the process. I had the same doubts when doing a hard edge , 3 tone camo on a dml sd.kfz7 flak 37 . Horrific until that first filter .. then , sorted , no longer toy like . Thanks for the vids . M
Many thanks Martin. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about tackling this scheme for the videos, just because of how nasty it can look during the process. But like you said, trust the process and the result will appear. Good luck 🙏🍀🐯🍺
I've been having my eyes on a 1/35 Tiger for a while now, but have managed to stop myself from getting one until I make a dent in my backlog... But one day I'll build a wicked Tiger like yours.
I think we all should be taking that advice and start chipping away at the stash! But where’s the fun in that 😉 Hope you’re enjoying the channel. Thanks for taking the time to connect 🙏
@@workbenchhobbies4316 that would be amazing ive really enjoyed this so far, long hiatus out of the hobby. This is my 1st proper build, just finished airbrushing the final dark yellow 2, rubber on wheels to paint, tools on and camo, massive moments as I get closer to the pre weathering clear coat, then hopefully fun fun fun with all the utube I've watched, was great to find your channel, have subscribed cant wait to learn more 👍thankyou for what you do, regards Lee
What a wicked tiger!! Ine thing, its tiny but im just throwing it out thrre. On tanks with multople wheels, the inner wheels tend to have moreud and dirt impacted. Unlike the outer wheels where the rotation pushes mud and debri to the outside of the wheel. The inner cant do that so it builds up. There is a comment from a german t7ger crewman where he hated to get out on cold rainy/snowy days and clear the inner road wheel faces. They would pack up then freeze, putting a ton of weight on the suspension.

Very wicked looking tiger
Thanks 🙏 good luck 🍀🐯
I really enjoyed the weathered track portion. You really got into them. The VMS beach foliage was a nice touch. Wicked Tiger!
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for your support CJ ☝️🐯🙏
Masterful work as always, appreciate you sharing your hard work and tips so we all can learn.
My pleasure! I’m so grateful people are enjoying the content. Thanks to you for watching 🙏🍻
Wicked tiger bro! I love how this has turned out. The foliage really works well with this scheme in breaking the camo scheme up.
Thanks Simon. Glad you think so and best of luck with the draw 🍀🐯🍻
You did a fantastic job on the “wicked tiger”, I especially like the bushes and mud on the tracks. Probably the most wicked tiger ever😆
😆😆 awesome. Glad you liked it and thanks for joining in 🙏🐯
Surely must be one wicked tiger!
😉 thanks for joining in 🐯
Great Job... Little late but "Wicked Tiger!!!"
Better late than never. I appreciate you taking the time to connect 🙏
Thanks for sharing your experience on this WICKED TIGER!
My pleasure! Thanks for joining in 🙏🐯🐯
That Tiger is the most wicked Tiger, even Tiger 131 still running today isn’t as wicked, such a wicked job Clayton.WICKED!
😆😆 not so sure about that! 131 is pretty friggin wicked! 😉 Thanks for playing along. Appreciate your support 🙏🐯
You did a great job with this video tutorial, Clayton. Very enjoyable, and informative. I found your weathering techniques to be interesting, and very helpful. Thank you, for all you do on your YT channel 👍😎 Cheers 🍻 ~ Rob at RB1S
Thanks Rob. Appreciate your kind words 🙏🍻
post shading is by far the most wicked technique on that tiger!
Thanks mate. I think so too. I love doing it. Sending you luck 🍀 🐯
Wicked Tiger, Just like Wittmann's!
Good luck 😉 🐯
A good video of your work and the way to this convincing result, Clayton. A cool Tiger I, especially with this improvised camouflage.
Impressive! Best wishes and a good weekend. Joachim
Thank you very much Joachim. Always appreciate your support here in the channel 🙏🍻
Hey Andrew. Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks 👍👍 Good luck 🤞 🐯
Wicked build of the Tiger !
Thanks for taking the time to comment John. 🐯🤞☝️
Fantastic work on that wicked tiger. I really enjoy watching your builds.
Glad you like them! I’m grateful you are watching them. Luck 🍀🐯
But where’s the fun in that 😉
Hope you’re enjoying the channel. Thanks for taking the time to connect 🙏
I love the weathering on your wicked Tiger.
Thanks Troy! Great to hear! Good luck 🤞 🐯
great work !!
Thank you! Cheers! 🍻
Hi im building my 1st tank a tiger 1 early production for a kursk build, this has been so helpful thankyou, what a totally wicked tiger !👍👍💪👏
That’s great news! I’m so pleased the video was helpful. Good luck with your build 👍🍀🐯 You never know…you could have another Tiger coming your way!
@@leeford6398 - so pleased you have found me :) Thanks for joining in
What a wicked tiger!!
Hey Will. Great info! Will definitely be mindful to look out for that in reference pics. Appreciate you joining in 🐯💪🍺
Good inspiration for building my Tiger I, I have the Academy mid Tiger I (interior kit) though.
Glad you found it helpful. I haven’t built that kit. Nothing stopping you trying some of these techniques though. Good luck with the build 🙌🏼👍😉🤞
amazing work
