@@Kidkinsey no that’s not what I am saying. 2nd half shutout it’s amazing. I understand the defense is mad just they are not out of blame either. Honestly I give 75 to Zach 5 to the defense 10 to Douglas the GM and 10 to the Coaching Staff.
The defense is on the field for 45+ mins a game. of course the stats are going to make them look bad.

I think it’s crazy how Wildes & Nick boohoo at Broussard for bringing up time of possession.
If the other team has the ball on offense for 40 minutes out of a 60 minute game, how do you expect the defense to not give up points and yards.
If anything the defense should be ranked ALOT worse seeing as though they have to spend 2/3 of the game on the field.
It's impossible to be a great defense when your offense is horrible. Turn the ball over, short drives if not a three and out, always in bad field position, down in the score, etc. It's deflating and exhausting.
@@TheGoatLocker 2000 and 2002 and 2006 Ravens and early 2000s Steelers all had terrible offenses and yet were still fantastic defenses. The 2000 Ravens offense historically went 20 quarters without a TD (and went 2-3 in those games).

@@adreme1050 You're going back 20yrs! In that era there was only 1 team throwing more than 50% of the time, and that was Andy Reid's Eagles. Nearly all teams relied on a good ground game to be good. You had maybe 5 good quarterbacks in the league back then. Defenses played to stop the run. After they instituted illegal contact rules and changed how you played the pass, then got spread offenses. Not to mention the roughing the passer rules, and today's game is basically flag football compared to back then.
Coach trying to shift blame to the defense is wild
It's not shifting the blame. The Jets players have talked a lot this year. Yet, in the last 2 games, the rest of the team has not lived up to the talk. No one is denying Wilson is bad and the offense is stumbling, but the defense ain't all it been hyped up to be.

The 85 Bears had 14 games where they held the opponent to 10 points or less and had 4 shutouts
The Jets defense is going to finish the season somewhere around the middle and nobody will talk about this season ever again regarding the Jets vaunted 2023 defense

Nonhe is asking the children on defense to grow up and act like adults for a struggling team.

Not much better but I looked it up and Boyle was 1 TD and 13 picks at UCONN in 3 total seasons and then one season at Eastern Kent he was 11 TDs & 13 picks. Total he was career 55% completion & 60 rating. Idk how that dude got in the NFL 😂
The defense is always on the field and constantly in bad field position due to the offense. Further the run game suffers when team don't have to worry about the passing game and stack the box.

It's this stubborn thought process that you get paid to do a job so do it. These guys aren't just robots they want to win and they are motivated by winning. Defense in any sport is predicated on motivation. If the offense stinks sure you can expect the defense to do their best because they are professionals but if you think it doesn't effect them at all you're out of touch with reality. The higher ups need to do their job and find a QB replacement before the season is lost.

pats fan here, so not a fan of the jets at all, but the slander to the jets defense is insane. brou is the only one who has it right. they literally have the worst qb in the modern era and they're on the field the entire game. they held the pats to 13 (2 was a SAFETY) and 7 was a busted play sure. they also BEAT THE BILLS b/c of their defense. like what are they even talking about?

This is first time i’ve heard coach M sound more like a fan than a head coach. i thought the defense was just saying evaluate all players to the same standard. if a player isn’t making the cut, bench/cut him. but somehow now the defense is underperforming. imagine hearing that from your coach.

The issues for the Jets is a combination of things which include the defense being a bit overrated but the offensive struggles definitely make the Jets defense worse when the defense has to be on the field for a long time. What the Jets should have done was either invest in a quality back up QB in the offseason or should have signed a free agent QB as soon as Rodgers went down. Now its too late and the season is essentially over for the Jets.
How is Tim Boyle in the NFL with those horrendous college football stats, but Josh Rosen is not. No way Rosen is worse than Boyle

Once a team disrespects a fellow teammate with those T-shrts last season, then you have multiple problems
1. lack of character of some players in trying to Humiliate their teammate
2. no control of locker room by coaching staff
3. the QB now knows the team really dislikes him so much that they would wear T-shirts with Mike White's picture. So then why should he care about his teammates? He's getting guaranteed money.
4. Extremely poor leadership in that lockerroom.
I'm sure Zach apologized to his teammates for that abrupt interview where he didn't take accountability BUT it should never have gone to the point where the team tries to Humiliate another player by that T-shirt stunt. That is like trying end someone's career b/c now other teams don't want Zach. Did the team give an apology for that stunt?

Robert Saleh is going to be asked the same question over and over again after every game and he will continue to say "Zach gives us the best chance to win", eventually the locker room will implode because it is extremely frustrating to be lied to by your own Head Coach. Robert Saleh needs to realize he must change tact soonest possible before he loses the locker room as not just the Jet's situation, but his own position becomes completely untenable.

These shows are pretty ridiculous. The Defense allowed 13 points while being on the field 85% of the game. Nobody should be expecting them to be perfect. The Defense gets a turnover then they need to score or else they’ll be right back on the field 4 plays later when offense couldn’t move the ball. Either way, they’re right back on the field defending again.
I don’t agree with the defense being a bad thing. They are on the field 24/7 and expect to get 100 interceptions a game to save them. This is on the offense 100% not using the running backs at all, no QB, receivers left out to dry and it’s getting ugly! Also the offensive line is not helping either
Jets fan here. Here's some side info for you all. Zach Wilson's uncle is the CEO of JetBlue and not only has dealings with the Johnsons but also sponsors the 1 Jets Drive show they put out. Coincidence Wilson is getting coddled this hard? I dont think so and the misery will continue.

I am honestly shocked it took the defense this long. I have to commend their patience considering the abomination of a QB and “leader” they have to put up with.
Wildes I like you but you need to grind the All 22 with Josh a little more. Sauce is covering Hunter Henry in the flat. Jordan Whitehead No 3 is covering Brown. But he played the run aggressively and got beat deep. That’s why you see him running as fast as he can to make up for it. Sauce did his job on this play.
This show is for just entertainment at this point. They expect a defensive to be on the field for 40 mins each games. Not one of these guys look like they can walk on a treadmill for more than 10 minutes.
I agree with Brou to have a good defense you need an offense that can stay on the field long enough to give true defense rest which is something the Jets offense can’t do.
