What's cool about Bane's FR backstory is that it really just seems like a DND campaign.
Three adventurers set out to kill the god of death! How heroic is that? They end up a little murderhobo-esque on the way. The god of death says, sure, you can't kill me, but you can have my death powers. Great! The DM scales up the power level of the campaign, and the adventuring party now has to deal with the politics of gods. Screw that, they say - let's pull off a heist! They steal the Tablets. Of course the DM decides there are massive repercussions, and maybe regrets elevating the game to god tier, so... oops! Back down to mortal form you go, unless you can complete another very specific quest.

Bane: Oh, you think darkness is your ally. But you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING!

I don't usually comment but I just need to express my gratitude to you for making these videos. I have always played in my own homebrewn settings but has always wondered what it would be like to play in the forgotten realms. With these videos im able to actually do just that and create new stuff in/flavor my own forgotten realms. So thank you for giving me the opportunity to be able to utilize the forgotten realms

Thank you for these videos! I am always looking forward to them!Actually, your dedication to researching lore has inspired me to do my own research on the God my character worships. It was fun looking through old manuals and sourcebooks but also a bit time consuming, so kudos to you again for all the work you do!

Just a fun little fact I learned from the Brimstone Angels series, there is a common curse/swear/phrase of "Beshaba shit in my eyes!", for when things really don't go your way.

Hi, love your vids they are awesome and make me read up on Forgotten Realms Lore. With that, I just want to say @3:52 you mentioned Beshaba spawned during the Dawn Cataclysm but I recently found a passage from AD&D's Faith and Avatars and on pg. 44 it goes into detail about how Beshaba was created. Anyway, love the work and thanks!
    "Rotten Luck
Before the Dawn Cataclysm, there was but one goddess of luck, Tyche.
Ever flirting with fortune and disaster, Lady Luck bestowed and withdrew
her favor at a whim. After eons of toying with the affections of various
powers, Tyche found herself embroiled, along with the rest of her circle of

deities, in a war between the gods resulting from the actions of a current paramour, Lathander.
Always fickle with her favors, Tyche kissed the Morninglord
with misfortune and wandered off to explore the Realms.
During her travels, Lady Luck discovered a budding rose of unequaled
beauty. Delighted with this fortuitous happenstance, Tyche reached to pluck
this delightful token, which she assumed was a peace overture from Lathander,
who sought to regain her good graces. Much to her amazement, Lady Luck
could not pluck the rose from its bush no matter how hard she tried. Frustrated,
she cursed the rose with bad luck, and flower's stem broke in her hands.
Carelessly, Tyche stuck the plucked rose behind her ear and continued on her way.
Unbeknownst to Tyche, the rose was a manifestation of Moander, god of
corruption and decay. The severed rose stem crept into Tyche's ear and subtly
began to rot her from the inside out. Lady Luck now suffered from misfortune,
and it sprang from her own careless hand.
When Tyche returned home, she came across her dear friend, the goddess
Selune, waiting to speak with her. Also waiting for her were Lathander, who
wished to regain her affections, and Azuth, who had come to mediate the dispute between the two.
Selune wept great tears as she saw the corruption destroying her friend from within, and before Tyche could even intuit her intent,
Selune lashed out with a bolt of purifying light.
Tyche's rotted core split right down the middle and a smaller, brighter version of the goddess of luck stepped
out, allowing the goddess of the moon to save that which was good and pure in
her friend. However, following this first figure from the rotten external shell was
another form stunning to behold, but full of dark malice and capricious ill will. As
the two emerged, they immediately fell upon each other in hate, struggling
madly, and were only separated by the combined efforts of all three visitors.
It is said that Tymora, Tyche's Fair-Haired Daughter, embodies all the grace
and kindness of her mother, while Beshaba, Tyches Unpleasant Daughter, got
only her looks. Since their birth, the twin aspects of Tyche-Tymora, Lady Luck,
and Beshaba, Maid of Misfortune-have battled each other in a civil war that
    continues to this day."

Xvim or Bane used to Trick Lathander to combine the split Beshaba & Tymora into Tyche once again.
But it was stopped by priest of wyvernspur and priestess of Beshaba and Paladin of Lathander.
A Krynn halfling from dragonlance & Ao from forgotten realm.
it was a messy plancescape novel since they travel from heaven to sigil to abyss to heaven again.
it only make sense if you read the long Finder wyvernspur series from mortal to godhood.
and you get to see Beshaba, Tymora, Lathander in their person. Which is a.. pretty neat.

I actually like Beshaba, she doesn't need to have too much information for her to be interesting. In fact, despite her darker disposition, I see her as less of an evil deity and more of a primal force - respect it and you can get on with your life all the better, but ignore it or, worse, shrug it off and belittle it and it might come back to bite you in the butt. Concepts like that make for great deities IMO.

In a campaign I'm in my character is actually the son of beshaba. Due to her nature she made it so he cannot fully control his magic, making him a wild magic sorcerer. Recently however she seems to have come to liking and wanting to protect her son going as far as to even change the mage armour boost to charisma for his casting.

I don't understand. Initially I thought the FR were just a setting, while the core D&D lore was another one completely. Then, at the start of this series, it was told that the core setting of D&D were indeed the FR.
And now the core D&D setting and the FR setting are two different entities again. I'm confused ^^`
