I'm a solo camper. I bought a Naturehike Hanger 2 Tent(White) and additional Gear Shed because I worried about theft when I sleeping at night and away from tent. Also prevents animals from catching garbage. You can store camping equipment and food in Gear shed from rain and theft. I love it very much😍
Great stuff Trev..... I hope you are keeping well mate. I watched your last video, but couldn't leave a comment. Great looking tent....... it's a bonus been short at times lol. I don't tend to struggle with head room my self. Thanks for taking the time Trev... stay safe mate, all the best, Mark :) :)
Really enjoyed this vid and I’m so tempted to buy this tent!! Really liked you and your style so have subbed 😊 look forward to watching more of your videos, stay safe!! X
I must say, I do like that touque of yours...reminds me that I have a similar one around somewhere that a friend made for me...but like yours somewhat better...have a grand time now....
I just ordered one of these on Monday, £121 on Amazon. You're the first of my sub'ed channels to get one so I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with it.
@@NorthwalesBushcrafters I've seen a few vids in the rain and it seems ok, it may suffer from a little splash-back under the fly or possibly wind blown rain in the vents but I have a plan for that. It's a pity I have to wait 3wks for delivery and I hope they send the right colour lol.
@@NorthwalesBushcrafters Tent arrived today, put it up in the lounge and loving the space. It's a bright green and grey colour but at least they didn't send me a purple one. Going to try it out in the garden this week.
Very swanky 😁 sleeping bag looked lovely an warm👍 were ya camping? I bought a vango nevis 200 about 6 weeks ago well happy with it trev👍 been to dinorwic quarry an porth wen in it, stunning! Spose I've gotta give thanks to joss👍 good to see you out ATB m8🙏
Great useful video. I’m doubting about getting the Mongat 20D or the new 15D, which is lighter, but i’m afraid of it’s water resistance and performance as it haven’t been reviewed much. Any reco?
To be fair on this night it rained heavily all night and handled it well so for the money and space this is great tent lightweight small pack size everything you could want I think 👍 let me know how you get on ATB Trev
Yeah time will tell my next trip out with it will be in the mountains as soon as we can go 👍 I didn’t put guidelines out and it was sturdy enough so when I’m up high I’ll defo peg them out 😀 ATB Trev
I am thinking about buying this tent, or maybe the Cloud Peak 2, another Naturehike tent. have you had any knowledge regarding the Cloud Peak, which maybe be a bit stronger in a windy environment. I'm not really planning on doing any extreme camping, but knowing a tent would stand up to strong winds is very reassuring. Regards from Whitley Bay
Hi this is first naturehike tent to be honest so couldn’t say about the cloud peak tho I have heard good things about them, the Mongar 2 is great tho and as any tent checking the forecast to know which way the wind is predicted to come helps so you can position it correctly always help 👍👍 ATB
That's a result Trev. You thought that maybe your bag was getting wet but you said later that it was all dry. I reckon the bag cost more than the tent. I'm doing catch up so will go back a bit. I hope you're well. Mark
Hi Mark yeah the Rab bag was pretty expensive but you do have to stay warm 👍 I’m full of covid so can’t get out for a bit but soon as I’m better I’ll do my best to get out and do something take it easy and stay safe matey 👍
I've a _very_ bad back, which usually makes the small, hiking tents no good for me, since I need to be off the ground, but my newest stretcher is v. low, & I really, really, _really_ want the purple Mongar. I'm after your advice; the cot's 17cm high, + 180cm long, & my pad is 5cm high - would it feel too much like being in a coffin? I'm slender, + I don't have a particularly big nose, or anything. ;-) Also, how well does it do at cutting the wind chill factor? P.S. I'm not worried about width, since the stretcher is only 65cm wide, which is less than half the tent, & there'd also be a spare 25cm at my feet.
Hi I think at that height you may have the inner tent close to you face ! But I am looking at getting back out with it soon up in the mountains so when I do I can do some measurements and get you a better idea if your not in a rush the purple ones are cool too 😀👍 ATB Trev
What a lovely reply! Thanks so much for your immediate thoughts, that feedback is valuable for my decision - & hey, only when it's eventually convenient for you, I definitely wouldn't say no to those figures, too. Thoroughly neighbourly of you! ^_^ Cheers!
Loving that tent trev plenty of room.. Food looked bloody good aswel. Also mate, what Rab sleeping bag is that? Has it a good comfort rating? ATB Dave 👍
Hi, have you tried other naturehike tents? How does it compare to cloud up 2? Mongar seems to be much more resistant to wind based on construction, is it right?
Hi thanks for commenting 👍 this is the first naturehike tent I’ve had and I’m super happy with it, I have heard good things about the cloud up 2 but I haven’t had one sorry 👍👍 ATB Trev
Nice review! I wonder if there are different models of Mongar 2. I've seen other tents with a lower bathtub, hence less good wind protection. Like this one: th-cam.com/video/ZFNhrUTsg0E/w-d-xo.html The side looks lower before the mesh starts. Maybe your tent is with 210T and not a 20D? The models seem to have different inner tents.
